This is the first video about quartz and digital watches that I have watched as I have no interest. But I watched right to the end for the quality of humans talking about what they love, such great chemistry. It was so funny trying to see Russell be semi serious whilst talking to TGV, but I can tell the pair of you just wanted to mess around and my inner child loves this. Great video with two amazing characters. Need to do more collaborations like this chaps. Sensational. I do think there was an opportunity missed to show off your tegimented horological sinn, haha.
I was also a mechanical watch snob and even worse an automatic snob. But when your Omega Seamaster has gained about 40 seconds over the month and your Casio G-Shock Mudmaster is + 2 seconds over the same period, you soon lose your snobbiness! I have 3 Casio's plus an Orient quartz Chrono that's more accurate than any Rolex Daytona, and a Pulsar Solar Chrono that never needs a battery, can stay alive in complete darkness for 4 months and hasn't lost even 1 second over 3 months. All of them you can grab from your watch box and go without needing to wind it or change the date. Just about every watch collector will have some quartz in the collection, either as beaters around the house or multifunctional uses like my Mudmaster for trekking weekends. Open your eyes to the possibilities my friend and remember, there is no mechanical watch except possibly the Grand Seiko high beat or Spring Drive models that can compete on accuracy with quartz. Even the cheapest $20 Casio is more accurate than a Rolex.
I had recently purchase Casio W168 I was surprise that it gave me a feeling that I could had with a Rolex or even better. Apart from the price which is way way much cheaper, the watch in a way transcend time into my childhood and it evokes a certain feeling within. Im in my late 30s and I find myself holding the watch while im sleeping. I guess it's like my 1st love and I thought I had forgotten. Thank you Casio
As a fellow Casio enthusiast who has come up against a lot of snobbery, it is refreshing and comforting to see others who share similar experiences with these little electronic super gizmos. Oceanus, edifice, databank and gshock are the iconic lines in my humble view.
I love casios I really do but Edifice was always like bleh to me until now... Im an F1 fan and when i see the Alpha Tauri watch i was like ...thats looks fine. Can you recomend me some edifice to look out?
How am I 6 days late watching this?!?! C'mon youTube algorithm.. FEED ME MORE MWC! This video was just so joyful and fabulous! Thank you sooo much both for such a great video. You guys play so well off each other.
can’t believe how in a span of a week how you got me so excited and obsessed with a watch...you literally opened up a new world to me....I own 6 casios now... 6 more than I had before a week ago...and I have to buy more...and that film watch, wow
You two are my favorite and I’m so glad to see that your buddies. Great influence for those of us that appreciate where to spend our hundreds instead of thousands. You rock man thanks for your awesome attitude your a good time!!! Be well my friend
TGV old chap, this collaboration between yourself and MWC has to be my favourite video. So very fresh and imaginative. Well done to you both. Onwards and upwards chaps.
What a great show! One of my favourite things about watches is that you can enjoy them at any level, from a humble Casio out of the Argos catalogue to the holiest of the Holy Trinity, they’re all all essentially just watches at the end of the day. And Casio is such a great brand and offer amazing value for money. TGV is a a total legend too so always great to see him on the channel 🙌
So cool that his do it all watch the F158W was the watch I wore all day as well as right now🤣 I got so hype when you said that was the one. I looked over at the same time to my watch when you said “I just love this watch” and I couldn’t help but geek out and audibly say “same!!!!!” While staring at it. Goddamn I love Casios
Two guys I admire talking about Casio! Of course I have many vintage ones especially casiotron. I have that film watch TGV has but with a green strap. Shown it many times on your Facebook group. Both yours and TGV were made at the same time I believe. TGV has a databank too. If you ever wanted to review it no problem mate. Ps, TGV was partly the catalyst for my interest in watches 2016 and look what happened to me with UA-cam and a big FB community. Respect!
Great Casio brand appriciation video! Love the fact every person who loves watches can have one, can afford one! That’s the beauty of Casios, there is a Casio watch that fits everyone!👍🏻👍🏻💛
Argos catalogue! I used to spend hours studying the Casio collection. As a child it’s the only place I used to get one from. They even had a display case in their store I was sure not to miss!
TGV! He's just the dogs. Got me into watching watch tubes, sooo influential and the benchmark for you watch tubers. MWC is a favorite beause it's got a soul. There was a while where nearly every watch channel just waited to see what TGV did and then just watered it down. Great colab.
That Casio buzz is awesome. I keep mine right by the bedside using two as my alarm clocks. No travel watch roll is complete without one or two G- Shocks or illuminators to bolster the armory. You guys enjoyed making the video as much as I did watching it.
You’re welcome! Your enthusiasm for all things Casio inspired me to buy a gw-5000u. Had one, sold it, and decided I needed one again. I have had a number of G’s over the years and have recently been without one. My gw-5000u is in transit from Seiya in Japan and hopefully will be on my wrist tomorrow! Thank you for all you do to support the watch collecting community. Sincerely enjoyed the conversation with TGV. Keep ‘em coming!
Wearing my World Timer Casio Royale on a jellyfish strap. It helped me so much when I was in hospital. One of the most useful Casios there is, got one for my father in law!
I managed to have two gshocks fall apart in my lifetime since I was a kid. Each lasted at least 6 years I think. Keep in ming that I basically lived with the think, including summer swims in the sea, school sports, and showering. Also used to throw them against a wall to impress my school frined with how resistand the watches are. The resin case literally fell apart over the time, buttons and all, while the module and screen kept going!

I love casios.. Most of my collection is now solar gsteels and jdm protrek watches. I have a couple autos still but I found that solar quartz watches are my bag. 😅. I got a 5610 that I put on a combi bracelet and now have ordered a full steel case set from aliexpress. The amount of modding you can do to the 5600 line for not allot of money makes them allot of fun.
Made my evening watching this - amazing stuff MWC! Anyone remember what the Casio was that Roy Scheider wore in Blue Thunder.....the one with the countdown timer that was displayed by a series of gradually disappearing lines in a circular pattern? Another mostly forgotten Casio line is the Marlin range from the early 80s - you're never going to be repairing oil rigs wearing one of those, but come on, it's a fish with a pointy nose that sounds very cool for school! (cool for skool joke nicely avoided there I thought!)
Great video! I like this kind of collaboration. My first watch back in 1988 was a Casio and I just bought a golden A-168. I'm looking forward to your review on the new AQ-800E. Already had an eye on that, too.
"Love the franchise. The 2nd one is a bit dodgy.." Yes!!! These two are brilliant. The dialogue is spot on. Excellent content you two. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.
I stinking love Casio. Watches for me are a tool, and the most I ever spent on a watch was $100 for an open box Casio ProTrek. They are well designed, look good, function great, and inexpensive to replace if needed. I don't disparage those who like fancy or mechanical watches, and their historical importance, but I don't care about them or will ever own them. I will likely only ever own Casio. So glad to see you two love them too.
Another top video both. As a subscriber to TVG and TMW I love this content. Scarily although it's post Halloween I have a number of the watches shown. My collection is now split three ways, the Casio or rather more classic collection that are sometimes rebuys of watches lost or broken in my youth, the G-Shock lot and the others. I have to agree that my memory in pixel G-Shock display is the best of the lot for readability. I love that Casio deliver watches in a cardboard box that by the time someone has drenched the package in a waterfall then crumpled it up enough to be pushed it though the letter box that the watch survives and oddly the micro print instructions do as well while the packaging has been completely destroyed..
Great video as always! I’ve got three Casios in my collection that are in the rotation. I love them and they’re definitely classics. I’m on the fence with the casiooak but this video surely helps!
great show guys own a couple they are so comfortable on wrist ,also very cool im sure started with littlewoods catalogue not to mention under wear section .
Some gorgeous watches. But what a fantastic conversation too. Underrated point you both arrived at, is what on earth is going on at Casio HQ, completely bonkers, and we all hope it never stops. And that's without mentioning Oceanus, Lineage, Edifice, or my personal wrist king, Duro.
This was a great video good to see you two make another video together again all the watches were cool really love the Casio film watches they are really cool.

@@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Yes, Russ, you need the bigger size, mine is 8.1" (not meaning to brag 😅) but my wife who only has a 5.2" wrist tried it and it looked like she was wearing a wall clock! However, I think over 7" it's fine for the Mudmaster.

Like you guys, I have my endless collection of cheap retro-styled Casio watches. One that goes under the radar I feel is A163W! Looks similar to A158 but has very unique text font which I really love.
Great show! Think I've mentioned it on another video but any love for the Casio world times which aren't the rectangular 1200? Only discovered the range recently and have great functionality and looks. The 2100 even comes with a metal bezel, something you don't often see at this price..
Holy smokes! Episodes like this are such a gem and a treat! Thanks @MWC and @TGV for sharing such a great chat! We demand this be a regular thing.
Cheers Jason!! Appreciate that a lot!
@THEMADWATCHCOLLECTOR Have you tried DWE 5600 CC 3? According to me, that is a must have for your collection

Like you guys, I have my endless collection of cheap retro-styled Casio watches. One that goes under the radar I feel is A163W! Looks similar to A158 but has very unique text font which I really love.
Yes, yes ,yes, the Argos catalogue at Nan and Grandad's house! I spent hours trawling through watches in it.😍
Nice show! I love my Casio DB-380G. It's a multi-lingual beauty with a datbank function which took me about 30mins to put one phone number into.
I miss having an Argos catalogue in the house. My last Argos purchase was last November. The amazing Casio MRW-200H for £13.29. Unbelievable! 😁
Love the urban gentry and this collaboration
Cheers Spencer!!
What an Episode ! This was the best watch collab on any channel. We need more of this!
You guys are quite different in style but I love watching both of you you guys are ace!
Great show! Think I've mentioned it on another video but any love for the Casio world times which aren't the rectangular 1200? Only discovered the range recently and have great functionality and looks. The 2100 even comes with a metal bezel, something you don't often see at this price..
Perfectly paired lunatics and I just love it!
