One of the first things I look for in a watch is how easy it is to tell the time. That rules out many of these watches, although their cost rules out all of them.

Andrew, I have a request for you and Tom to do a video on Cartier specifically. Rolex, Omega, PP, AP, ALS get so much press but Cartier "be flying with the crowd" and seems to be always under or off the radar.
I feel like RM is just fucking with us at this point. $3.5 million for a non-precious metal watch with a smiley face on it.
You can only admire the Kinder quality, Faberge price business model.

They make Jacob & Co. watches look like a reasonably designed piece. I would never understand why richard mille gets a pass while others don't.
It’s even more ridiculous here I. Seoul. First you wait in line at the boutique to get on the list. When you get through all that and make it back at your designated time, you’re greeted by NO watches. Not even one. The few pieces designated annually to the authorized dealer in Korea are snatched up immediately…more like months before even making it to this side of the world. So you drink your wine and champagne while shopping from RM marketing brochures and magazine articles…a truly high class experience

The only one I’d have any remote interest in is the Kodo. It’s incredible but the price combined with the scarcity means it’s not something I have to worry about.

I love these videos, but I have to say I wouldn’t pick a single one from this top ten. Wearing something that looks like Marvin the Paranoid Android’s prostate on my wrist has no appeal to me whatsoever. 🤣
I would start with a Platona, and work my way around the more beautiful but completely legible watches that exist.

I'll stick with tool watches (and I can't afford many of those). Once the price bracket becomes dream-worthy into 5 figures and gone the item is Artwork and I wouldn't carry a Picasso around with me either.

With most of these watches, I would be walking around the house with my wrist and watch on my sternum dodging door knobs the way a running back holding the ball, with occasional stiff arms.
Can you compare lange and luc chopard both at 30k price range ....

The only watch there likely to be reliable and not cost a fortune in servicing is the Grand Seiko.
The only ones of those that I'd even consider (even IF I could afford them which I can't) would be the Moser Panda (but the chances are I probably woudn't wear it often if ever) The Lange obviously purely because ANYTHING they make is pure horological perfection! On a side note....That Richard Mille is fuc*ing hideous! Anyone owning one should be ashamed of themselves!

It’s the epitome of made-up prices. It’s overvalued. There’s nothing in it that would justify those prices. Try reselling it, it will lose 90% of its value if someone even buys in the 1st place. What’s the most expensive Jacob at auctions? 😂
Jacob&Co doesn’t have the calibre to charge $1,000,000. It’s for stupid rich people who don’t know anything about watches and just want to flex.
You might argue, production cost. Production cost doesn’t determine prices. If I have a billion dollars and I spent that billion to create a watch, that doesn’t make it a billion dollar watch if no one would buy it.
