Heya! Hope you enjoyed the video :D Just wanted to say, sorry I haven’t uploaded recently, and that with this upload I didn’t take my own footage or show myself as per usual, I was too busy (new setup being made) so look forwards to that! Don’t worry, under UA-cam policy all footage is credited, and the majority of footage was official footage from the brands too, many thanks for watching and have a good weekend!
You lost credibility putting Smiths on that list. Timefactors owns the name, but it has nothing to do with the original company that went to Everest. It's now a Chinese watch with a Japanese movement. Which, there's nothing wrong with. But, they have poor business practices that make them hard to get from their storefront. This causes them to end up being scalped on the second hand market for $1000 for what is effectively a San Martin (which, nothing wrong with if they were readily available for MSRP). And at the end of the day, the Smiths Everest is just a Chinese homage watch that is getting dropshipped.
I’m not talking about the modern smiths I’m only talking about vintage smiths lad! They’re incredible and very attractive pieces that vintage collectors chase after! Like myself, I have a vintage smiths de-luxe with tropical patina and it’s just perfection.
@@Skippernomnomnom it wasn’t my pictures it’s footage borrowed and in the bottom left is the credit of where I got it from I have to borrow footage of watches I don’t own, but don’t worry most people I have asked directly and got the green light, and those I haven’t ask are credited and under UA-cam policy allowed!
@@WatchConnoisseurClub I hear what you're saying. It just doesn't make sense to say you're only talking about the vintage pieces, then only show pictures of the modern one. It comes off like you're saying the modern one is also for true watch enthusiasts, and you're giving it a glowing endorsement.
Thank you Mr Ward. We now pause our watch group parties (in London) to watch a few of your videos. Obviously at the end of the content part, when we want a good laugh to finish things off. You certainly get everyone laughing, with your basic interpretation of watch history, and your individual pronunciations of brand names. Can't wait till next month.
Haha! Happy to help! Glad I can make a group of grown men laugh at my expense when I’m 18 in full time education, working a weekend job and trying to make videos on the industry I’m passionate about! Especially when I’ve only been in the industry for 2 years non formally and am self taught about all watchmaking and history! Wonderful to have immature grown men write rude comments for no apparent reason rather than correcting or pointing any mistakes I’ve made so I could improve, after a nice long week of school and work! Many thanks and have a wonderful weekend my friend, I do hope you continue to watch and give me some wonderful watch time to increase my statistics!
@@WatchConnoisseurClubYou have written to me before after I made some genuinely helpful suggestions, and you were darn right rude. Now it's an inference of bullying? I hope you get better at this. That's what feedback is.

@@verynormalman Don't bother; Ward is a cocky young brat posing as a watch connaisseur who doesn't take kindly to any form of criticism that is actually intended to help them improve their future videos. In their previous video I remarked that 'The' pronounced as 'thee', and 'a' as 'ei' all the time was hugely irritating, and they poured vitriol over me as if I had called their mother a prostitute.
We do love watches hahaha! I like odd ball brands! Vacheron really is the standard against which other are measured against! Smiths are very cool watches. They have a huge history! Give Swatch some time... You might seen a "Breguet x Swatch" collab! I knew most of these other than Phillipe Dufour. Never heard of them before! Hope you have a fantastic weekend Bud!
And you! I have a part 2 of this video with 10 more brands that I know no one is gonna know xD All 10 are high horology independent watchmaker brands :)
For most I’ve asked personally as I know some people in the watch UA-cam scene, for those I haven’t asked they have been credited and under UA-cam policy, unless they explicitly state you can’t use their footage, it’s just fine so long as you credit them! So don’t worry I’m not doing anything that’s off or not right :D
@aliceMcAdams3 well what do you expect, I’ve asked them personally and for those I haven’t it is all under UA-cam policy, how do you expect an 18 year old in full time education to buy every watch and proper equipment and then find the time to record dude? These videos would cost a mortgage and 30 hours each to make and I’m making about enough to buy a sandwich on each video xD
Have you actually handled or even seen these watches? Why, before producing this video, would not acquaint yourself with the correct pronunciation of the foreign brand names and rather excuse your mangling of them? It comes across as lazy. It is, furthermore, something that was remarked upon in an earlier video (a Chinese name then), so you are abviously not one who is eager to learn from people who express mild criticism and improve the quality, such as there is, of your content. Also, 'the' pronounced as 'thee', and 'a' as 'ei' most of the time is unnecessary and quite irritating. Another thing that you refuse to modify although it was mentioned before. I wish your teachers the best of luck with trying to teach you anything at all.......
