My biggest watch mistake: I bought the wrong watch. I loved loved loved the IWC Portuguese. Was travelling with family and walked into a watch shop that sold IWC. They didn't have the Portuguese, but they did have an Ingenieur. It was nice, fit my wrist, and my wife liked it. It was my second-choice dial color, and it wasn't a Portuguese, but I bought it anyway - to get into the brand. I regretted the purchase almost immediately and sold it for a loss several years later. Lesson learned. Buy what you love. The end.
You brought me into watches around 5 years ago. It ended (so far) with my parents gifting me an Omega Seamaster for my PhD on tsunami waves. I absolutely love it! I think that can be counted as thing you did well! :)
The best watch channel on YT. You fill a place on the market that is cheeky, funny, smart, talking all sorts of watches extravagant and small but also focusing on tastes and budget that are more mid-luxury(unlike the extreme wealth of or lower price of others). It’s also respectful, super well written. Great job, always looking forward to your videos.

We fought and when we finally broke up, in the midst of yelling and arguing, for reasons I will never know, I gave her back the very, very nice watch and told her, "here, you can have your damn watch back!" and gave it back. I didn't have to. I didn't give the others back, she didn't ask for them or want them. To this day, whenever I think about it, I want to go and throw myself in front of a fast moving train. Andrew, huge mistake. You think we watch this channel for the watches? Wrong, wrong, wrong. We watch the channel for you. Silly boy. Watches are all over the web. This is the only place we can watch you. Watches don't talk or tell us anything. Even your sidekick is a step ahead of the watches. Now sit up straight and drink your milk and get ready for the next show. We are waiting for you.
I missed out on an incorrectly priced Rolex Day-Date a few months back. The seller had missed a 0 off the price! Instead of snapping it up I Did The Right Thing and informed them of their mistake. Boooooo.
Apple brought out a device called a newton ten years before the iPhone and it ran on an ARM processor before anyone new what an ARM processor was. Unless you had an Archimedes. ARM decided to float on the stock market and the shares all but crashed. A desperate twenty nine year old ringing up the banks for a personal loan anything to drum up money. Eventually gave up when your a twenty nine years old your pretty much have nothing and are worthless even if you know a dead cert when you see one. Still hurts twenty five years later.
I love your videos. And I love your watchfinder channel. I didn't know that you didn't own it.......oops. But your content and passion for watches should enable you to catch up. After all its you. You are the personality and the voice .
I may have ended a sort of happy marriage by commenting on a watch once. Figure five people at a restaurant table. Two rich guys comparing their Submariner and Chronomat, me with my Russian ticker and the uncontrolable urge to show off my watch-knowledge. The lady I had gone out with and her best friend, who happened to wear a Daytona with a green dial on a hideously appropriate green leather strap. One of the rich guys was her boyfriend and she was married, too, but her husband wasn't there. That was back in the day, when Daytonas could be bought without having to sell a house first and then kidnap an AD's first born. The Daytona-lady was so kind to take off her watch and hand it to me so I could take a closer look. Through the exhibition back I saw a cheap Chinese movement and the sub-dials showed a calendar-mechanism instead of the expected chronograph. When I called out the watch as a fake, I thought that its owner would have known that all along. Alas, she didn't. And the watch was a gift from her husband. Things got very quiet at that table and we parted ways very soon after that. And I have never seen anyone from that company again, including the lady I had set my eyes on that night.
what a minute ... did he just say "nico leonard" gave him a kick up the ass??? WTF!!! Nico... the guy that yells at the camera about watches and hublot... that guy ^_^

When you said "FP Jeurne", I said this out loud, it was a reflex and I'm really sorry...
"OH YOU KNOB!!!"
Oh AM, I feel your pain. The FP Journe, I need a doctor - no an anaesthetic.
The irony is that you are part of the reason why some of these watches have gone up in price. Every Tom, Dick, and Harry now thinks they know about watches from watching channels like yours.
Love it Andrew!
Moser is King. They're going to be huge. Even bigger than now
In 1974 i was looking for a watch for my 21st. Birthday i was offered a Rolex Daytona for around $500 i had a brilliant idea & thought I'll never need a chronograph 😳
Killed me with the old folks home bit.
You're the boss, Andrew.
Very witty 😂 really nicely done. This is your niche and calling - keep it up.

You are so different without Tom. Such a joy to know that there is someone as accident prone as myself. Wait until you get peripheral neuropathy, then you will need as many helpers as Henry VIII to get him on his horse, just to put your watch on. At that point, choose a Swatch…
When it comes to watches always go with your heart and not your head.
Mistakes are useful, they stop us from being coming egotistical and we can learn from them. It's when you repeat that mistake that you need to kick yourself.
where can we buy the AMW sweater?
You get another chance mate. There are two TWO things that set Watchfinder channel apart from the rest of the tubes. One is you, your voice and hands... and the other is the photography. You'r writing is hilarious and you're a great presenter but if you want the success of that other channel you need good photography. Just my 2c
This is a repost right? Or am I losing my mind and feeling deja vu for no reason?
We love you Andrew.
Dear Andrew
Great episode as always. I believe I told you once that you are my watch therapist. Didn't I ? I insist again and again.
With love and appreciation
Nizar
bad people make good decisions, good people make bad decicions... same here, same there👍👍😉😉
Good on ya mate.👍
That quirk with the IWC is not your fault - it's a bad design and it's on them for designing it that way...
Lol the IWC story 🤣
Knowledge is knowing it's a fake Rolex.
Wisdom is keeping said knowledge to oneself.
Ohhhh dear.
Sorry to say I really enjoyed that story
Good thing you blew the whistle. 😂
Do you have some kind of serious insurance for watches?
Bloody funny. Great video 😅
Are you saying the kick in the arse Nico gave was...God Tier??
what a minute ... did he just say "nico leonard" gave him a kick up the ass???
WTF!!! Nico... the guy that yells at the camera about watches and hublot... that guy ^_^
A nuclear airstrike on Maidstone probably wouldn't be a bad thing.....
