    Great review. Would you review the Monoprice m350? I'm tempted cuz it's on deep price cut but I can't find review anywhere. If this is gen 2 closed back, then I guess that's gen 1.5 open back in ear planar.

    if its anything like the P1, they didn't sound great on my iemagni but the THX onyx made it sounds simply AMAZING. would suggest trying that dongle dac with these.

      I'm afraid if it only sounds decent with 1 particular source it's still a fail in my books. Looking forward to the new P1 and P2 models though!

    For films? Spring 2 or Tin Hifi P2?
    Good bass, imaging and soundstage?

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  3 роки тому

      Spring 2. The P2 is too demanding and needs LOTS of power.

    try using that iem with a solid state amp. tube amps don't mesh well with planars.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  3 роки тому

      The dongle DACs and Earmen TR-Amp are solid state. The Chimera has dual tube and jfet modes. I also tested with the Topping Dx7 Pro. Same results all around.

    I'm using moondrop Variations and i almost switch to this P2. I disappointed with mid bass sector from Variations. Any suggestions please? Thank you!

      I'm not sure what price you're looking at but in that range I would suggest the DUNU DK-3001 Pro, FiiO FH7 or Panther Aura DX4.

    Something seems a bit off for an IEM to need more power than a full size planar headphone. I suspect I'm being a bit boneheaded to think that size matters when it comes to power requirements but thats just me.

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  3 роки тому

      It is unusual but I kinda like that about them although it is a bit extreme. The P1 has much more reasonable power requirements.

    Question please. I do like to ear music loud.like a concert . How can I see if they loud. By sensitivity or db. I dont know how to read if they loud. Thanks

    • @PrimeAudioReviews
      @PrimeAudioReviews  3 роки тому

      If you want loud look for high sensitivity and low impedance. You might also want to consider some extra amplification like a dongle DAC or dedicated DAP.

      For $200 I recommend the Thieaudio Legacy 4. It sounds amazing plus the noise isolation is excellent so your music will be loud.

    shimmery treble does make every note sound like it has a ringing halo around it. so right, i found myself nodding as you said it. the graph shows what appears to be MASSIVE top octave SPL. I feel like my brain would be fried after an hour of metal with these. Along comes a poorly mastered track with some 14khz digital artifacts and you're a gonner.

      I must lament that I agree.. I will say the 16k peak I happen to have qualms with is quieted rather nicely by the Tripowin spiral groove foam tips. The driver shows promise, I just think there's something not quite honed on them. But I digress... part of the fit issues which would be a certain disappointment for some, along with potential sonic qualms are somewhat remedied by the aforementioned tips.
      Just kinda wanted to chime in because I thought I could be of some help to those with the sads after the buy.
