@@cyberedge881 im curious about this too, I love my NM2+ very much. Im done with Tin Hifi, and will waiting for someone reviewing NA2+ then maybe buy it another time soon.
It’s too bad that Tin went with the more traditional IEM shape. The barrel shape of the Tin T4 means you can wear it like an earbud which I prefer, or over the ear like other IEMs. It’s also too bad about the sound, I was actually going to preorder these. Thanks for the early review.
Well, with all due respect, I'm not sure whether to trust him on this one. I think he wasn't too fond of the T4, but I loved that earphone. To my ears the tuning was excellent, timbre was natural, and technicalities were quite good for a dynamic driver IEM in its price range. I'm certainly not saying he's "wrong", as we all know how much of this hobby is subjective. I'm just not sure how accurate this review will be for me. It's strange because his taste aligns with mine on a lot of other IEMs. Well, not that strange actually, it's pretty normal. It's always a good idea to get as many perspectives as possible.
True, it's always better to get more opinions on something. I actually said at the time that the T4 (at the discounted price) was one of the best IEMs going at the time. However, I did (and still do) have an issue with the treble timbre and soundstage. I also still think there are better options at the same price or lower (Whizzer HE01, iBasso IT00 etc). But, of course, people who are upgrading from the included phone earbuds or those who've only heard 3 IEMs in their lifetime and enjoy the T4 might think I'm full of shlt. 😄
I wonder if these companies are simply throwing the proverbial shit at the wall until it sticks when it comes to frequency response tuning. T2 was said to be decently good for the price, T2 pro had notoriously excessive treble, both were ultimately too bass light given what I've seen and heard.
I think it makes sense for them to target different sound signatures and that's why they have t2, t3, t4 etc. The t5 is obviously aimed at bass lovers but unfortunately they fell short with the tuning. Hopefully t5x will be better. In the meantime a little birdie whispered t2 Evo to me so who knows?
I tested Tin Hifi T5 vs FiiO FH3 iem yesterday. With phone Xiaomi Note 10 Lite + FiiO Q3 as dac-amp. Various FLAC songs for 1-2 hours. I didn't need 3-4 hours because it is clearly FH3 sounds better than T5. . Considering the prices are not much different, I am quite disappointed with T5. From build quality, premium feel and sound quality, FH3 is definitely more superior than T5. . Everything sounds better on FH3. Vocal/ mids on T5 sounds thin and recessed. FH3 vocal/ mids has better clarity, cleaner, sweet and smooth, better height and depth, more dynamic. . FH3's bass is better, faster, accurate and smooth. Metal songs such as Metallica makes T5's double paddle kick drum sounds too recessed. Congested with guitar riffs. Not very bad but FH3's instrument separation is better. . Cymbals on T5 sounds too high than others but high vocals seems cut off. FH3's high vocal is more airier, higher but smooth, with clarity. . T5 has V-shape sound signature but everything is recessed than FH3. FH3 has W-shape/ balanced sound signature. . Soundstage for both almost same, above average i think. But FH3 has a little bit wider. . FH3 needs 50% volume, T5 needs 60%. . Overall, if you have to choose in this price range. Please take out T5 from the list immediately. Anyway, don't take my review for granted, go audition and listen yourself. Thanks everyone. Thanks for reading. #fiiofh3 #tinhifit5 #fiioq3
That's actually a rather different impression than what the others have said, not just a small difference but marginally huge one. Unit variance issues? Not a good start here TinHiFi, I guess blind buying is cancelled lol

@@PrimeAudioReviews yeah I'm just trying to watch reviews to see consistency, since this is Chi-Fi we're talking about. I wanted to blind buy this pair and welp I really don't want to russian roulette these IEMs again to find that one good set everyone's raving about..
@fumes des péterds I do wonder about that with some IEMs. For example, to this day I still don't understand the hype around the BLON BL03. My set is pretty average. Aside from the nice natural timbre the technicalities are decent but nothing special. I have numerous other budget models that I think sound better. It makes me tempted to pick up another set just to see if maybe my first set were defective in some way.

I've heard a prototype of the T5s and it sounds MUCH better. Hopefully, I will get my hands on the final version soon and will see if it has fixed the problems.
@@PrimeAudioReviews I just won a lucky draw T5 yesterday. Waiting to arrive. I have FH3 currently. Looks like i'm gonna sell the T5. Sell dongle iBasso DC03. And buy iFi hip dac maybe. Listen music using my phone
I'm not. I know burn in is a debated subject but I think it's almost unanimously agreed upon how a DD is required to go through burn in to achieve driver flexibility that the manufacturer based the tuning on. In my personal experience FQ response chenged drastically with iems I used to own like the Atlas and Solaris that have a DD in them.
Well, after reviewing over 300 IEMs I'm pretty confident I can say that core tonality doesn't change with burn in. This is reflected in my measurements as well as what I'm hearing. If it makes any difference, my unit had 50+ hours on it before I did any critical listening. But hey, let's just wait for people to start receiving the T5 and see what the general consensus is.
Well, it's all relative really. Compared to other "bass boosted" IEMs like FiiO FH3 it has more but compared to the ROCK Zircon it has less. The problem is it really isn't a good quality bass. It's all about mid-bass impact but lacks texture and definition.
Dang this set too much bass... Fh5s too much treble... Running out of things to look forward to :( Glad I got the fh3 on multiple reviewers solid rec and they are spot on a fantastic buy at their price.
