    Day 2 : Wow there is so many choices and brands

    Day 287 : I have lost all hope, after more than 3000 videos about wich IEM is better i'm still unsure about the sound signature im looking for, i haven't slept for 3 days and my obsession for weird technical micro-details is growing more and more, i wonder if i'm ever gonna go back to normal

    When I first saw the Tin Audio T3 launched, I thought "Better wait for the Super* Review". I was not disappointed!
    Your videos are very well made, they seem well scripted and the quality of the audio and editing is very good. Your description of audio quality is easily relatable and the comparisons to other IEMs make good sense.
    You're in a completely different atmosphere than other reviewers, IMHO. Keep up the good work!

    Just received the T3 a week ago, using them every day. Here are my impressions-
    Up-sides- Has more treble and bass than the T2, This is kinda like a *mildly* U shaped signature. it has all the characteristics of the T2 and a little more Bass and treble. Treble is a little more forward on the T3 Imaging is super great, Bass has more texture and detail.
    Where T3 differs from the T2:
    T2 has better separation in the mids, where T3 has better separation and details in the highs. Soundstage is wider on the T2.
    Downsides: i find the T2 more comfortable. The shell of the T3 is 2-3mm bigger and a little heavier than the T2. Also, the super thicc and heavy cable comes in the way often which is *kinda* annoying sometimes.
    TL:DR : Tin T3 is basically everything T2 has plus a little more bass and treble and with better imaging, separation, and microdetails.
    Does this make the T2 obsolete? ans- NO! The T2 is still a great buy! and some might prefer the T2 over the T3 because of the super sparkly treble.
    Are these a definite upgrade over the T2? ans- NO! These are kinda sidegrade because some might not like the brighter signature of the T3 and less soundstage.
    Which one is more neutral? ans- The T2, because of the wider soundstage and the near flat bass response. T3 is a little more "fun" sounding than the T2.
    Sorry for the giant wall of text, i hope you find this helpful.

    I got delivery of a set of T3s today partly based on the recommendation made in this video.
    I am super impressed with the build quality and the standard of the cable is just outstanding. The sound is too bright for some people, you're right, but I seem to have similar tonal preferences to you so all good there. I think the bass is fine, perhaps lacking in sub bass. At this price point it's knocking some of my more expensive earphones to the back of the draw. Thanks.

      I have one set which I think beat the T3s and this may surprise you. The Philips Fidelio S2 are better at lower end bass and match in other areas. I got them in pale blue for just £40, don't care about the colour. The draw back is they are really good fit dependant. If you don't get a perfect fit they sound crap.

  • @Alexander_Sannikov
    @Alexander_Sannikov 5 років тому

    Hey man. After watching your review I decided to buy a Tin T3. And after 1 day of testing I felt they sound great but kinda don't fit amazingly well for me and tend to work their way out of my ears as I walk. I started digging further and realized that I'm wearing them the same way as T2's are supposed to be worn, but my blue earpiece was in the right ear and red earpiece was in the left ear which's different from how T2's are supposed to work. And then I realised that T3's are actually supposed to be worn the opposite way from T2's: for T2's the cable goes vertical upwards and for T3's it goes horizontally forward. For both models, red earpiece goes into right ear and left earpiece goes into left ear. After fixing this issue (swapping left and right and changing cable orientation) I noticed that the fit was actually better and more secure for me.
    That being said, you're wearing both of them *correctly* in both reviews, so my plan to jump into the comment section and blow your mind with "you were doing it wrong since the beginning" type of comment failed. That's ok. However, I find this thing to be super-non-obvious and since you're a fan of T2's/T3's I can't help but wonder why you did not mention this difference in the vid.

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  5 років тому

      TBH, red = right, blue = left pretty consistently. And FWIW, I think Tin even changed their manufacturing so that newer T2s fit the same as T3s. One thing you can try to improve fit is lift your ear when you insert. Here's a goofy GIF of me doing it: imgur.com/a/AVG7mKB

    @Poschmane 4 роки тому +1

    Yes...you said it very right...the treble attacks a bit harsh on T3. My ears hurt after longer listening and also some sort of music will get a complete wrong overall appearance. At T2 and also T4 its much better.
    So if someone has the intention to buy TIN i would reccomend T1, T2 or T4. Except people who are really on need for treble because they want to enjoy special music where treble is more important can go with T3. They work for some kind of music very fine but for allround listening i cant reccomend them.

    I need your help, maybe due to the time you do not respond, but it does not cost anything to try.
    I had a Bluedio V2, Ufo 8 drivers, Edifier W830BT and both are horrible, very low. I bought an Anker Spirit X and I loved it, total neutrality, but I found that it lacked bass and I used insulation tape in the outputs and really increased the bass, but yesterday I noticed my head aching and I remembered the tapes, I took it and everything was normal.
    Before that I discovered that I like neutrality and I saw all his videos of T2, T2 PRO and now T3, but I do not know how to decide, you loved the T2 PRO + foams and said that he plays the vocals later than T3 and that be brighter, but highly praised the T3.
    I'm like you, I love to hear the voices of the songs well ahead, then the middle ones where they should be and the bass just as a complement, at the right time because if not my head hurts. In view of this, is the T2 PRO with foams more suitable? Or is it really T3?

    Seeing your review I ordered t3 from aliexpress and I admit they are very good but I do have 1more triple driver gold Earbud which I bought from 1more site so I compared them and found both are much like the same in terms of sound.
    1more is a straight down Earbud and they sound very accurate much like t3.
    Good imaging very accurate sound impression but lack of soundstage.
    T3 sounds much like the same but has soundstage like feeling.

    So like you, the T2 was (one of) my first two IEMs and I just got the Moondrop SSR based on your review. Having these two, would you say there is a reason to get the T3? @@SuperReview Thanks for the quick response! A concern of mine is comfort. I find that the larger IEMs like the T5 I have and the Starfield (and to some extent even the Blon bl03) are shaped in such a way that they put pressure on the lower part of my earlobe and after wearing them for a longer period of time my ears get sore in those spots. The T2 I don't have this problem, so the SSR seemed a no-brainer. The T3 has the same shape as the T2 which was my initial thought on why I would cheque it out, but as you said, already having the aforementioned IEMs, the sound is probably not that different. So apologies for the very specific question, but might you be able to point me towards something within that (70$~) price range that you would rate as having a similar comfort level/size/shape of the SSR or T2, yet different enough in sound to warrant having?

I threw them in my ears ( I tried to put them in my ears) the right one stuck but not very well and left wouldn’t stay at all. I tried every eartip until I tried the slimmer foam tips which were the best fit for my ears, but still not amazing. The cable is great btw no complaints there and the build quality of the iem itself is great as well. But the sound quality is SHIT! There is not even a slight trace of bass. And the highs are trying way too hard to be clear that they sound so sibilant and distracting. At half volume I had no bass, sibilance so harsh I had to turn them down, and the soundstage along with fidelity SUCKS! which would you recommend for daily use on pc? I usually talk with my friends on voice chat and game. I don't really know which is more suited for me due to my versitile music taste. I don't need bass heavy iems but I don't want the bass to be almost nonexisting. I'm really new for audio especially for iems so I need recommendation. So far I've only heard of tin 2,2pro,3 and KZ AS10

    I'm confused by the T2 Pro's being your number 1 but, you recommended these as if they're better? I think that all of these Tin's can't get a 5 outta 5 star rating because of their differences. So, either a reevaluation should be done where they get different ratings or, change the ratings to more stars

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  4 роки тому +1

      If I followed that system, I'd always be adding stars and it'd be silly.
      My star system roughly follows this logic:
      5 Strong rec at this price
      4 Solid rec at this price
      3 Don't hate it at this price
      2 Don't bother at this price

      @@SuperReview full copper cable and 100 hours of burn in for dm6. dm 6 reveals bad recordings and can sound too bright , but feed it properly mastered track , prefferably lossless and it shines. i have t2 and t2pro with t3 coming next week. tin hifi is great budget under 100 bucks. the detail dm6 can reveal is few levels above t2 for sure and the price reflects it.
