- This video shows how to install a downpipe on my Alfa Romeo 159 Ti 1750 TBi Novitec Nero and my impressions in terms of it's sounds.

As you can see from the title i'm mod again the exhaust of my Alfa Romeo 159 Ti 1750 TBi Novitec Nero.
I made this because when i removed the mid silencer the resonance inside the car is a bit lound, then, when i fitted the downpipe i turn even louder, so i have to reduce this.
The Resonator chosen was a Vibrant Performance@STC

Getting very hands on mate, good that you are doing your videos in English now aswell. Been trying to diagnose rattling brake calipers / pads on my 1.9 lusso for a while, no luck so far, might just have to replace pads as they aren't OEM ones atm, they are apec so maybe that will solve it. I see you've still got your undertray still on! Mine went along time ago.

And the ratling should came from the brake pads. Try replace them. I have a video explain how to change it.

Hi bro, have u achieved the ideal sound so far? I have a 1750 tbi with Novitec Neros too, i have also put a straight pipe through the mid box. The rest stock. And i find the sound is still too tame, just bassy. I wish for some pops. What do u suggest?
Hi ! did you have to remap after removing the catalizer? but you just, remove and install and that's it. How come? thanks in advance! I want to do the same to my 2.2jts
hello,.. ola boa tarde , qual o principal beneficio ao se instalar a downpipe e se num diesel tbm tras beneficios , talvez mais ou menos , no sei, será que poderias me explicar o basico, pois eu tenho uma alfa 156 sw jtd e a desmiolei tbm a frente o que penso que seja isso e na altura fiquei um pouco reticente pois agora ficou muito largo logo a saida do turbo, ou seja , eu creio que o ideal seria tentar colocar um tubo em seu interior assim como fiz na panela do meio, bem, de qualquer forma creio que seja melhor pra o turbo, pois fica mais liberto, mas no meu caso,.. uhnmm, acho que poderia ter ficado melhor ,.. mas enfim, é que essa peça tbm há pra os jtd,s mas a acho muito cara ne !? bem mas o teu alfa é fantastico,. e claro é a gasolina ,..lol,.. logo, mais alfa

hi, thank you for sharing the video, one question i noticed you didn´t install back the stock heat shield on the new downpipe, why? are you experiencing more heat in the cabin now? cheers
Hello, thanks first of all. And I didn't fit the stock heat shield because the heat shield was connected to the stock downpipe. That's why I didn't fit it. And now the heat it's a lot lower than stock and I fit a thermal tape on the downpipe in order to keep even lower the temps

what did you do with the rear lambda sensor? do you have"check engine" now?
Hi, before I made this change I already deleted from ECU the sensor. That why o don't have engine warning light.

Is the mid silenced deleted in this video, because mine is straight pipe and doesn't pop so will the decat make pops and bangs
Yes, I have the middle pipe deleted and only remain with the novitec rear boxes. It not pops and bangs , to make that you need a remap and enable that feature.

Did it decrease your under hood temperature? I have 1750 TBI too and it works very hot. Sometimes it warms my legs I can feel the temperature in the front seat. I think the catalyst in the downpipe increase the underhood temperature. I am thinking to install downpipe on my car. Does it work it? Did it satisfy you?
the temps i guess decrease, but not too much. Every petrol engine radiates a lot of temps from under the hood. and for me every turbo car should have a decat downpipe to keep the turbo safe and healthy

Viva, esta e sempre uma excelente MOD, seja em que carro for. Em relação ao IPO não sei, mas penso que se tiveres um catalisador não terás problemas.

what's the gearbox that comes with this engines, is it the cancer M32?

Yes this was the M32. As far as I know there aren't many issues on this car with this engine. And many 1.9 Diesel engines with more torque and not many issues.
This comes with C635 gearbox. The same as in Giulietta

Boas, claro que podes meter, agora não sei é até que ponto será fiavel. Sabes de algum projecto de esse motor com turbo? Se houver tenta saber o máximo de informação para veres quer o custo mas também a fiabilidade do projecto 👍

It's a full decat downpipe.
@@InCoGn1t0 but did you have to remap ? sensors are gone so...what info is going to the ecu?
After doing this modification I remaped the car but previously i disabled the sensors in order to don't have problems with lambda sensor. That's why I don't have any fault lights on the dashboard.

Este carro e a gasolina, logo não tem FAP. Isto é apenas o downpipe com catalizador. Já antes da troca por este downpipe sem catalisador já tinha anulado a sonda após o catalizador para não dar erro.

It's possible. Never checked...
Did you need to remap it or just install it?
Don’t need a remap to install this, but it may throw a check engine light because this was Catless downpipe. But to take the full advantage of the downpipe it’s better if you do a remap.
