I pity those still perservering with it.

I've given up on FS24 for the time begin. It's the whole streaming content/cloud gaming thing... it takes forever to load, or doesn't load at all, the textures often don't stream correctly or load, I've not been able to play the career because it always messes up... it's awful, and it's not like I have a slow connection.

The Carenado SAAB 340 is, to this day, still super broken. Cockpit lights are blinding at night, start-up sounds are wonky, and the god damned FMS barely even works. Oh, and she struggles to climb to beyond 10,000 feet.

We got the new year eve bug terrible, all vip missions disappeared after buying the cj4 come to find out it was a global bug now people with the bug can’t fly vip missions as a free lancer till they fix it I was heart broken you know how long it takes to get past the vision jet then medium cargo lol I was just so happy I was able to save up the credits to buy the cj4 wish I could fly it tho

Shows clearly that they have zero quality control/game testing before they release something. For me - i had enough of FS2020 when the game started crashing in late 2022 for no reason whatsoever, then they released 2 large patches that downloaded the entire game(!). One of the reason i found was that they changed the install path of packages so it couldn't "find" the files and voila - 120 GB download - in addition to the earlier 120 GB that was in the previous installation, meaning the game now occupied 200 bloody gigabytes. There is no way in hell I'll buy another asobo flight simulator, they should stick to making RPG games. Thanks for the review, shows they have learned nothing.

I just got back into flight simming after a nearly a decade and resurrected my FS2004 install, fully loaded with quality addons and half decent scenery enhancements. It is to this day the smoothest performing flight sim platform ever. No gimmickry whatsoever, just purely designed with the pedigreed aviation enthusiast in mind, with tons of quality study level aftermarket aircraft addons. I am using a $10 desktop PC I got from the thrift store, slapped in a RAM upgrade, spent $200 or so on peripherals, and I am a happy recluse in oblivion to what is current in the flight sim world. Being out of touch has resolved the anxiety which I user to suffer from in my past flight simming experience and I find I am actually enjoying it this time around!

This "review" is so full of shit, that it nearly made me puke. Did we all forget the HORRIBLE launch of 2020? Or are we all just gonna sit on our nuts, and pretend that never happened. Yes, the launch was a disaster, but you are not saying ANYTHING NEW! Nothing! Your just repeating what others have said weeks ago. MSFS has never been good! It’s always been a game. That product went bad the minute MS bought it from Bruce Artwick!

Muggins here spent £2000 on a new gaming PC ready for MSFS24 only to find out my wifi wasn't fast enough to load it. So I now have 2 wifi services at my home until I'm out of contract with the original 'too slow' one.

Graphics are terrible on console Xbox series x, seems to have a lot of bugs even in the short time I played it, very disappointed that todays developers are given a free pass to release games that arnt finnished, how can you charge someone for essentially a broken product

2024 was bad for me in IRL and gaming was probably the worst for gaming - that not to say some were not ok but only ok - but prices, expensive DLC & what people consider good is on a sliding slop for me. Many requiring a 5k PC to then be stretched again on the next game release _ It seems to me some of the corporates don't understand gamers or their lifestyles & driving the industry into oblivion. Question is - should Asobo / Microsoft concentrated on working on a great flight simulator? or a version of Zoo Tycoon. not have amalgameted it. I love where FS2020 has gone shame this at them moment seems like a wasted opportunity. I might not play for a whille until all bugs are fixed patched up, had a got with Fenix at default livery I had a few CTD's so not convinced. but I do have a few external FS programs running such as GSX, Multi Crew and FBW A320 so it might be those. will have to check out the crash logs to see what made it CTD? Mebe £130.00 wasted evenn the stock B737 Max crshed when taking off into the sky (bounced into the sky). with nothing else loaded. Love the Accent BTW I married a Cockney bird., she says Ditton and wooton (for Didn't and Wouldn't) I love that accent. long live the peralie brigade. Pie and Mash FTW. 😜🤪😝

I agree with your analysis. Add on developers are struggling to make their products work in 2024. For the most part, the seamless transition isn't working. 2024 is a cash grab. That is how I see it. I am tired of this kind of rip off and will not be upgrading to 2024. I have spent a lot of money for addons in 2020 and I am quite satisfied with the sim. I am disappointed in Asobo and their various upgrades to 2020 that always seemed to break something in the sim, but they usually got it resolved. But I am not moving to 2024. If I do buy another sim, I will probably migrate to the latest Xplane.

Fs2020 is perfectly fine. Dont need career mode. Im here to fly procedures and fly.. this isnt a zoo simulator.

I appreciate these type of games and wanna enjoy them, but they just aren't fun. Just a lot of menus and micromanagement, kinda feels like work.

I have a stupid long Steam/Epic "big title" backlog that I am trying to get through (not to complete them, just get a decent flavour of before I move on) but Balatro has taken over my life recently and is worthy of my pick for 2024. I'm not even a fan of card games (Hearthstone excluded, been keeping up with that for 10 years) but I love the design, replayability and mostly the backstory of the lone developer. Indie devs keep me interested in gaming these days.

Satisfactory is more than satisfactory. But I'm astonished at Balastro featuring anywhere. Did you folks not live through the 1970s or something? Play it with pork scratchings and candlelight for the authentic oil-crisis experience. Furry food. Yikes. Thanks for laffs.

I get what you're saying and that's all fine except for one thing. You want gamers to store 20 million terabytes locally on their machines? Like how is that gonna work?! Streaming the content is the only possible way of achieving that. That actual problem is not the streaming but that there is not enough server capacity available don't you think? Microsoft has their one cloud with azure and could easily prop up some agile servers that increase capacity with more players playing. For some reason they missed that out.

Your opinions might not be worth their weight in gold but you can't get the banter for less than like a fiver while listening to the old geezers down at the local pothouse. As someone who bought satisfactory just after it released in early and has found myself drawn back and back again I thoroughly approve.

Not seen any of your other vids but you get an instant sub for this one. Yeh, call it out for what it is, a beta testing exercise. Been flight simming since Aviator on an Acorn Electron. Might pick this up in a few years when it's mature and my internet connection can handle it. In the meantime happy to stick with 2020 and Neofly for a "career mode".

I've done a number of successful flights with both built in and 3rd party aircraft with a number of hardware add ons and scenery and it works fine for me. Even without a '24 update. Sure everything Microsoft related sucks in it (UI, Streaming, Bugs etc..) but that's Microsoft in general, how are people still surprised at this? There's also two crowds with opposite opinions. The gamer crowd who lets face it, are never happy with anything and make Karens look like model citizens at times, then there's the simulator crowd who has had to deal with pre 2020 simulators and which this is the the most immersive, detailed simulator there ever has been. I'd love to see peoples reaction now if FSX came out now with the hardware available at the time. Unless you had a quantum computer the thing was basically a slideshow of plane pictures. People this day in age are far too spoilt which leads to nitpicking and over reactions to everything. Quality of life is pretty good and you have everything at your disposal, start appreciating it for once in your life!!

I didn't buy at launch. Mostly because I was getting it for Christmas, with a new PC to play it on. I've not been a victim of even one of those game-breaking bugs. For sure in career mode, whilst my nascent freight business develops, I've been penalised for entering runways the ATC has sent me to. I just respond with a friendly "fuck off" and take the small xp penalty. I do agree that streaming assets, in a world where large capacity storage devices are in most people's rigs, is a stupid idea. I would much prefer to download areas that I mostly fly in and have streamed assets when I fancy a rare bush trip to Uluru. I do fully appreciate the frustration of the day 1 release. I would have been spitting feathers if I had been eagerly awaiting the launch, only to see the issues you've reported. Perhaps there is some way to go before everything is perfect, but I genuinly believe that what's being offered is the flight sim we dreamed about as kids. *side note- What a lot of people experienced with MSFS24, I experienced with Star Citizen 4.0 Preview and the same applies. In both cases, the potential is clearly visible.

This reminds me of making The Joker and making it an epic movie after Heath Ledger. Then, you take something wonderful and accepted by even those not into the comic world and praise it for putting a spotlight on mental illness. And you turn it all into a horrible musical!
