In practice, it’s very distracting, especially as this Bodycam footage is in real time, and not being played out on a new channel. Thanks for the comment!
It is a good question. Because while human eyes can only focus with any clear definition on what they are actually staring at, modern CCD cameras do not have that restriction. So, if the view was truely a BodyCam, then the bluring shouldn't be there - unless the camera was being swayed too quickly for the digital data to be processed quick enough. But yeah, many examples shown here were not of that situation, so it should all be in focus - but then it would just look like virtually all other FPS games, so no novelty. @cockneygamer The military is experimenting with augmented reality visers on their helmet. I'd say it's less than a decade out, so could just do that and at least its realistic technology only a few years out instead of some crazy magic gear like siege and can still blur faces etc give it that recording look and have the view point at eye level.
Im on ps4 and just bought "Body camera" realizing its a hugeee mistake not realizing im turning like a 90 year old and cant change that. Does "unrecord" have a setting to change turning sensitivity?
With the amount of potential this game has, I can accept the price of it under the condition that these developers use the money to continue developing it and turning it into something great. This video made some very good points, it felt ubiased, and critiques were constructive. Hopefully they get a chance to listen!
Appreciate the comment mate. I’ve always strived in my reviews to give a balanced opinion (and that’s all it is of course) even if I ultimately land on being positive or negative overall towards a game, so I’m glad this came through for you. And your first sentence absolutely sums it up… potential. This game has stacks of it. If they keep at it and reinvest who knows where it could lead us! Of course there is also the other bad option of them doing a few updates and moving on. Fingers crossed for the former. Cheers 🍻
For some reason I totally thought this was unrecorded And they just changed the name. I did get the game. It is fun. I think this one is more PVP focused and when unrecorded comes out it's more of a PVE by the looks of it
I did the same mistake, i played with it for 59 minutes and then refunded it. When i even cant change the volume of the guns i got mad xD And yeah clunky movement, getting stuck on the maps.. And yeah the maps are claustrophobic for me as a counterstrike player :p And that bomb scenario.. One in my team tried to defuse it, well he just took the bomb to the hand and hold it until it detonated xD
Great bones for a good ultra realistic game. , sonne light hud elements ,could see extraction game modes and pve stuff in the future. Hopefully they keep updating it.
Good review bro. The writing was good and made me laugh a few times. Keep it up. Just subbed 👍. I think I’ll pass on this for $30. Maybe $10-20 would be a more reasonable price for me for “early access”
Cheers mate and welcome to the gang! A lot of folks on these comments feel $30 is more than fair given you’re supporting a small dev, and I think that’s A-OK if you want to see it (hopefully) grow. But for me, I can only judge the game on what it is as if today and the available content, and right this moment there is very little to show for your $30 other than those great graphics and sound. Maybe when they get more maps up and running and different game modes we are looking at a different recco and a different score too! Thanks again mate, cheers 🍻
How I missed this - catching up on your content. Simply epic - yes many games are a huge let down, waste of money and turned by corporates into god knows what. But this reminds us what we love, LOU 1 epic, ooh that top down soccer forget its name I played the hell out of it. I’ve have some epic memories (now 55) of gaming from the start & especially some I shared with daughter when she was younger she not into most gaming now & busy with life. Thankyou you for making this I’m gonna re-watch it a few times just for my mental health 👍👍
at this point I stop listening to what he had to say at 2:53 because he is talking about the main selling point of the whole game getting dropped for the same old shi we have been getting of the play 20 plus years
Finally an honest review...Thanks! Requesting 30 bucks for this beta, simple shooter is outrageous IMH. Those 2 youngsters who wrote it didn't get a good advice on their business model, I'm afraid...
@liamnissanS2K looking at the forums, I believe there isn’t native support on ultrawide but I could be wrong. And yes I think you’d struggle for a smooth frame rate… for sure check to see what people on reddit are saying as I’ve seen a few performance issues mentioned. DLSS is coming in the roadmap though!
This is leagues better than any fps out right now. It's not a arcade game no HUD is 10000000% so refreshing slow methodical gameplay and the gun movement
I never played with it myself, but honestly not a bad question given the style of this game. It’s not like you a snapping in for headshots from miles. Hopefully someone else can help you here!
I got no problem with the delay when aiming your weapon around, I quite like it to be honest. Although my complaints are: No option to focus when aiming. Remove the drones flying around, its easy to abuse and ruins the gameplay loop. Placing the bomb should'nt be possible at spawn, add points of interest where you have to place the bomb. (Right now the meta is place the bomb at spawn, wait for opposing team.) Give us headsets, and suppressors. Add weapon custimization, create your own loadouts. Give us more gamemodes, preferrably that lasts longer than just a few minutes. I'll give them creds for what they've done so far, but they NEED a bigger team in order for the game to succeed in the long run, I don't think 2 devs can keep a game going while meeting expectations, its just too much for 2 people to handle.
Some really nice suggestions here. And yes, it could well be too big a project for two. Here’s hoping the money goes to reinvestment. Thanks for the comment!
Placing bomb anywhere was retarded decision. No other shooter game lets u place bomb right at your spawn 😂. They have already hired new devs. They have way more devs than Unrecord now. Unrecord only has a couple of devs
i just dont know what would separate unrecord and bodycam from any other fps without the wonky bodycam right? like it would just be call of duty or insurgancy or somethin
Another great vid Reggie. Wow, it really does finally look 'next gen' graphically. But yeah, perspective wise, do we really need to reinvent the wheel? I'm not a fan, not at my age. Also at my age, I'd even drink 8 pints to pull a 2/10 girl. 🤣
Thank you mate. And as long as you know the limits of what you’re getting into then all good. Doesn’t matter what anyone says… I think there is a good game underneath as long as they don’t abandon it! Appreciate the comment, cheers 🍻

Bodycam is cool but i still like unrecord more than Bodycam Like i get it but... Bodycam is like COD if they didn't do the same shit for years on end Unrecord is that same game if it had a Story and it still sorta looks more realistic than bodycam.
YES! This is spot on, and for me a better way to implement this style. Blair Witch Project springs immediately to mind here and would genuinely make for a fright in a go pro style game. I still find the looking down sights from the camera perspective and not the actual eyeballs of the personnel you control a bit odd at times and therefor e gimmicky.
Totally agree mate… if the Unrecord team is smart this gives them an opportunity. And the swaying comment is spot on… ultimately my feelings around it being a gimmick. @h.e.x. You’re missing my point entirely. You’re saying I shouldn’t play a first person shooter, with great shooting mechanics and good map design because I think the viewpoint of a bodycam is strange where by my reckoning you can actually look down the sights of the gun which no bodycam can do in real life. My point is what does it offer gameplay wise? If you keep the graphics the same, remove the vignette around the edges, and make the shooting less lumbered, would you not have an amazing shooter experience and instead use the bodycam angle for instant replays etc? Other than pretty graphics and artistic style for unreal Engine 5, not one person on here, and (nor have you so far) can tell me what this bodycam “view” does from a GAMEPLAY standpoint. Yes it’s pretty but it’s also why I feel it’s a gimmick many other games will soon follow without understanding what it actually brings to the table for gameplay. Does the bodycam angle make it a bad shooter? Absolutely not… but if you’re going to only pick and chose segments to criticise then at least do so with the whole context of the video at play and what I say, which I explain all of this across the whole timeline.
The camera is clearly mounted at eye level so you're complaining about the name of the game? If you try to use (or film) a paintball or actual firearm it looks a lot more sloppy like this compared to COD, Battlefield etc. This makes it more real and tactical instead of the immediate snap aim assist which is practically aimbot at this point ruining all of the other games so they can have a wide customer base to sell $15 "micro" transactions to.
I’m complaining that you aim down sights… like you literally “look” through the reticule when pressing the right mouse button. It’s here you can aim and shoot. What bodycam does that?

The more I think on it, I would love to see different game modes where they could implement different camera views. Might be asking for too much… but there is so much potential here I am so excited!
Its crazy but body cams can actually be mounted anywhere! Even helmets etc
Absolutely… but no bodycam, even mounted helmet ones, do not look down sights….
@cockneygamer The military is experimenting with augmented reality visers on their helmet. I'd say it's less than a decade out, so could just do that and at least its realistic technology only a few years out instead of some crazy magic gear like siege and can still blur faces etc give it that recording look and have the view point at eye level.
no way you just said "Riley Ried chokepoints."
Guilty as charged officer
Given up on Starter games sucking me money. Will not be getting anymore unfinished games! - temped me though
Cheers 🍻
Props for commentary 👏 😂
For some reason I totally thought this was unrecorded And they just changed the name. I did get the game. It is fun. I think this one is more PVP focused and when unrecorded comes out it's more of a PVE by the looks of it
Spot on. Supposedly Unrecord will be a fully fledged single player campaign.
I did the same mistake, i played with it for 59 minutes and then refunded it. When i even cant change the volume of the guns i got mad xD
And yeah clunky movement, getting stuck on the maps.. And yeah the maps are claustrophobic for me as a counterstrike player :p
And that bomb scenario.. One in my team tried to defuse it, well he just took the bomb to the hand and hold it until it detonated xD
Riley reid choke points holy fuck lmaoo
Great bones for a good ultra realistic game. , sonne light hud elements ,could see extraction game modes and pve stuff in the future. Hopefully they keep updating it.
I finally got my settings to look exactly how these UA-cam videos look.. But now all of a sudden my score reset back to rookie!! WTF!
I have many games make me cry, make me think about them non stop, dream about them, tell, stop & swear like my swear box is the size of dumper truck.
I genuinely think bodycam is amazing because it brings something different to the FPS genre. Why try compete when you can change the game
Former swat policeman. Most realistic shooter I’ve ever played. Closest thing to what real life weapon handling feels like
Can't get it to look decent on a 3060, the gameplay i did play was kinda underwhelming.
Thanks. I have a 3060 so I'm assuming I'm not gonna be able to run this on a super ultra wide
Iv got a 4080 and im waiting a couple of months before buying it
I have a 3050 and my game runs smoothly
Bro what? I have a 3060 and I’m running 120 FPS on high graphics.
this guys chill asf
This is leagues better than any fps out right now. It's not a arcade game no HUD is 10000000% so refreshing slow methodical gameplay and the gun movement
i paid 50 dollars for this game because i thought this was unreord with a changed name
The ready button has been fixed host starts match now n they added a quick play button
Wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
No cash grab. Most games are $40-59.00 so its worth the $30..00 It will improve, be grateful its here.
When is it release on ps5 and the price
My pc can run Cyberpunk at 72 fps but can only run Bodycam at 7 fps. Refunded!
this looks better than cyberpunk with pathtracing though
Yeah this game looks way better than cyberpunk @@user-wq9mw2xz3j
What ypur specs my dude
@@user-wq9mw2xz3jThe game uses Lumen lighting, a form of ray tracing. That means, bodycam isn't path traced.
It ran at a mostly locked 90fps for me
Brilliant review, love your dialog.
Too kind mate, thank you for commenting too. Cheers mate
“Riley Reid choke points” you sir just sold me a game and gained a sub😂
Haha, welcome to the cockney gang mate. Glad to have you onboard!
This seems like it would be better suited for vr.
I can imagine the hate comments from this question ..but..can you play with controller?
I never played with it myself, but honestly not a bad question given the style of this game. It’s not like you a snapping in for headshots from miles. Hopefully someone else can help you here!
I got no problem with the delay when aiming your weapon around, I quite like it to be honest.
Although my complaints are:
No option to focus when aiming.
Remove the drones flying around, its easy to abuse and ruins the gameplay loop.
Placing the bomb should'nt be possible at spawn, add points of interest where you have to place the bomb. (Right now the meta is place the bomb at spawn, wait for opposing team.)
Give us headsets, and suppressors.
Unrecord only has a couple of devs
if you host a server you basically immediately get a full server.
few maps? basketball has only one "map". game is great.
Just be honest this game sucks so bad the lighting is so terrible and the movement is even worse
i just dont know what would separate unrecord and bodycam from any other fps without the wonky bodycam right? like it would just be call of duty or insurgancy or somethin
Another great vid Reggie. Wow, it really does finally look 'next gen' graphically. But yeah, perspective wise, do we really need to reinvent the wheel? I'm not a fan, not at my age.
Also at my age, I'd even drink 8 pints to pull a 2/10 girl. 🤣
This game feels like overly modded GMod IMO
lol no
yes actually
“Remove the bodycam” bro is describing the game called “ground branch” that has failed miserably lol
Great review, yet again.
I'm not gonna lie, I kinda want the game. It looks really nice
Thank you mate. And as long as you know the limits of what you’re getting into then all good. Doesn’t matter what anyone says… I think there is a good game underneath as long as they don’t abandon it! Appreciate the comment, cheers 🍻
@@cockneygamer
Yeah, thanks to your review I've got a good idea of what I'm getting into.
Tho, I might have to wait for the next gen of GPUs to drop since my 4070ti might struggle a bit with this, I fear
@@DocProctor The 4070 ti should be fine unless you're playing at 4k, then expect less than 30fps. at 1080p I'd guess around 80-100fps at ultra, 1440p 60-80fps
@@RetroA1Mbot
That's not too bad then.
I want the game but assuming my PC will struggle since I only have a 3060ti?
Bodycam is cool but i still like unrecord more than Bodycam
Like i get it but... Bodycam is like COD if they didn't do the same shit for years on end
Unrecord is that same game if it had a Story and it still sorta looks more realistic than bodycam.
Basically don't bother!
This is a fantastic take on it being a gimmick.
Is auto lean worth it?
Could be great for a horror game
YES! This is spot on, and for me a better way to implement this style. Blair Witch Project springs immediately to mind here and would genuinely make for a fright in a go pro style game. I still find the looking down sights from the camera perspective and not the actual eyeballs of the personnel you control a bit odd at times and therefor e gimmicky.
this should be what the unrecord team uses to inprove their game... im having fun but it is so fucking annoying trying to aim and swaying way too much
Totally agree mate… if the Unrecord team is smart this gives them an opportunity. And the swaying comment is spot on… ultimately my feelings around it being a gimmick. Just because it looks real, does it mean it plays well? I can’t help but feel it detracts from the actual gameplay overall and should have been used in a different way. Thanks for the comment!
@@cockneygamerthey can keep the bodycam pov just increase looking sensitivity and make the movmements faster. Would play way better and still keep the good visuals
Problem I have with an aging mind and PC I be slower at success than your gran!
One to watch or keep an eye on and the next FPS games are coming & most will explore ultra realism as not many different slants can be tried as so many FPS games have been developed.
How much depth, replay ability there a future there is will remain to be seen.
Seaman on the pipes lol oh Reggie 😮 lol.
We all know people will be mostly playing Black Ops 6 this winter for their FPS.
Let’s see how Escape from Tarkov 2 is when that comes
A glorified tech demo for Unrecord.ironically
Lol bro said he has a 4tb porn nvme 😂
I actually got an additional 4tb in the Black Friday sales
@@cockneygamer that's a lot of naked men

Riley Reid choke points 😂😂
A man of culture like me I see!
Who else came here to see if the ps4/5 version is the same as the one on steam
definitely off your rockers
Looks amazing
bro the game is good why hating
Oh mate…. Definitely no hate my end. I think it’s super solid… this was a day 1 review and my feedback for early access day 1 is just giving constructive criticism. No game in day 1 early access is going to get 9/10 scores so this is actually a very good score and has a lot of positives. Everything though will depend on the updates and how they build this out over time… it has the potential to be brilliant. Appreciate the comment mate,
@@cockneygameryeah ur right. the vid was 4 months ago and i have to tell you i downloaded the game and since then they updated the game. Its very very cool. there are more gamemodes and a zombie mode coming out. The game now is very great trust me. maybe i went a little too far it was 4 months ago the game wont be good in the first stages of early
acess. so yeah. And it was 4 months ago im sure you dont dislike the game as much as in this video. You should check it out and trust me the game is alot better now.
Absolutely… and I for sure will do re-reviews of games. I usually like to give it a full year before returning as this seems fair on the developers too!

I was fooled..
i would love to play this on console
Well you can't, 'console peasant'. 😁 What I love about PC exclusive multi-player games is that it massively reduces the serious gamer/dickhead ratio.
I'm not saying you're a dickhead, but your exclusion is a price I'm willing to pay.
”Glorified tech demo” is a term made up by salty besserwissers who can’t get into something. Yes, you know if you know
"Let's review Bodycam"
"First thing is, I don't like the body cam."
Well okay then. Hope you don't review Miecraft next, you might not like the main two things you do in that game.
You did watch the full video I assume? Because I was very positive about it!
@@cockneygamer I watched till about half way. My point is that you don't like the main aspect about it, but that doesn't make it a gimmick or not well done. It just might not be for you. But it's like downloading a game called Truckcam and it's from the perspective of a dash cam and you have to drive a semi. But you then mark the camera perspective as a negative in a review. That's literally what the game is about, a camera perspective.
@@h.e.x.in all due respect, you can’t watch half of it and only call out the criticisms I have of bodycam when I’m heaping praise on map design, sound, graphics, and gunplay.
@@cockneygamer I can criticize a part of the video I saw, yes I can. I didn't say the entire video was bad or everything you say is wrong. I said your view on the body cam aspect is just...weird. You're playing the wrong game if you don't want a body cam. Play something not called Bodycam maybe.
Pretty obvious cash grab trying to capitalize off of unrecord
30$ early access?no thank you
Another ripper mate
Thank you mate, appreciate it!
Looks nice that's about it
We need weapon load outs at least lol
Imagine this but it’s Ready or Not.
