I have created a user1, but how to map it to the switch to change the lights? the pavo 20 wasnt much trouble, but this one is a little different,
@@Black-ice_fpv it’s setup to the LEDLOW mode in the Modes Tab on mine. Bit of its still not working you have to make sure the the LED Board is set to the BetaFlight mode by clicking the buttons. See the 5:00 mark in the video. Additionally if you have a variable switch you can set it to change colors which is neat. Hope that helps.
Really cool idea for video! Amaying flying! I have the pavo 25 v2, with normal COB leds and I like it a lot. But this squeeying in gaps is amazing!
@@Ja-Ko thanks, pushing cinewhoops through tight spots in a smooth line is great fun! Many people try to fly cinewhoops like 5” quads which kinda defeats the purpose of them… Get out there and find some tight lines! Cheers bud, thanks for watching!
Great review. Thanks for taking the time to teach us dude. Imma give this setup a go!
@@andy_louie83 thanks for checking out the video. The iFlight crystal just fits so well, and works good enough. Then for add a couple High Gainers on top and boom, incredible performance! These helicals are like $5 or less to make.
does all FPV drone when you wear the headset to see on the screen have cameras static that makes it look wierd?
@@BrandonPop13 there’s two main types of FPV systems. Analog & Digital. • Analog is the original FPV, and had some advantages, but the image gets static. • Digital is new tech, performs great, and image looks excellent, but has some disadvantages. Hope that answers your question
Nicely structured review! And amazing shots. Love the level of detail. It’s cool to get the “squirrel view” of a tree 🤓
@@LivLazer thanks, appreciate the comment, super fun flying inside of trees!
I got the regular Pavo 20 Pro like 3 weeks ago and haven’t been able to fly it yet due to weather. Someday!
@@Lost_FPV yea Pavo20 Pro is a great quad! Try to fly tight gaps & smooth lines, it’s always a fun challenge and great footage! The Night Fire version just had special LEDs, which are great, but not a huge feature. When filming a shot you don’t really want LEDs messing with the lighting. I only find time to fly like twice a month… so I feel ya!
Great video, I love your spot to flight. I also got Pavo 20 pro standard version and I'm wondering hot to make such a light painting video. Can you share some more information how to?
@@w1llyFPV yea, FPV paradise here in Norway. I used a GoPro 11 which has a “Light Painting” mode and makes it easy. I might do a follow up video about different light painting methods, because you can get some neat results and it is dark here in winter!
@GiantAntCowboy light painting with photo is very clear and easy but regarding gopro I own 10 so... 😅 Nevertheless video or animation with light painting is really amazing
@ so the GoPro is taking 1/2 second exposures, and then stacking them. Maybe there’s a way to do it with a camera and video editing software. I’ll have to think about it more. 🤔
Great work on this video. You got some amazing quality shots with the DJI O3 and I loved the light painting, but I'm surprised you were able to see with the DJI at night!
@@colibrifpv Yea the DJI O3 can look pretty good in the right conditions if setup properly. Maybe you missed it, but I did said “DJI is miserable in the dark”, like it’s almost impossible to fly! However my best Light Painting attempt was after I set up an extra light outside, which also made it possible to see with the DJi O3. Haha! Appreciate you watching, cheers bud!
Nice review! Great tip on the camera mount, I did the same on my Pavo 20 before and did it again on my Pavo 20 Pro. Highly recommended tip.
Hey appreciate the feedback, was just having fun with this review. Mounting the O3 Camera higher is definitely the key! Cheers!
This video was super helpful, thank you so much for making it. I was looking to do this exact thing with a similar input. Just FYI to the new people doing this (as i've learned thanks to the comments). Betaflight has changed and now the channels are the same as the number shown in Betaflight so in this video it isn't channel 7 but channel 3 (4-1 instead of 8-1)
@@hugocrs absolutely, glad this video continues to be helpful. Appreciate the comment, cheers!
Quick question my key opens the lock but when i goto close it i have to push in pretty hard and turn the key and its hard almost like its gunked up how do i lubricate the pins on the inside of the lock
Get some lock lubricant, WD-40 or even just dip your key in gasoline after filling. Then stick your key in the lock and pull it in & out, twist, and just move the lock and pins around. This should help free everything up.
@@Everyday-Adventures notice my first reply didn’t tag you… in case you didn’t see this.
Yo - I figured out the goggle interference problem - the stock antennas on the TX are End-Fed dipoles - these radiate significantly more harmonic radiation than the center-fed dipole (T-antenna). I was finally testing this SuperG TX the other day, and even at 250mw with the stock antennas there was significant "disruption" in my goggles - walksnail, this time. The problem completely resolved itself when I attached two Radiomaster T-antennas (center-fed dipoles). Cheers -
Good info, glad you got it sorted. Thanks for sharing!
Finally got around to watching this, the 25% lens correction was clutch....I've been using 60% for so long on my Avata 2 I never thought to go lower. I found 30% got rid of the fisheye without warping the image back. fixed zoom with 25% smoothness and 30% lens correction made it great. Thanks for the suggestion to push me to try something different.
@@American.Abandoned Hey glad you caught this video. Yea, using 100% lens correction creates this awesome speed look, it’s very cool in a straight line, but when the quad turns all the distortion isn’t a great look. Over the years I’ve been pushing this slider down, and now I just try to flatten the image without distorting it. As you said 25-30° works really well, and then when you turn it still looks natural. Glad this video was useful!
Thanks man. You are the best.
What is the "C" rating on that pack ??
@@roki5941 this particular pack is rated to 25A which would be 10C but can handle bursts up to 35A or basically 14C. I have two other videos testing DIY Li-Ion packs that are worth watching. Comparing 4s, 5s, 6s, in 1P & 2P configurations - ua-cam.com/video/rynkx_OYTFI/v-deo.html 18650 vs 21700 6s2p packs for 30min flights! - ua-cam.com/video/EcUCdOszF9U/v-deo.html Hope that’s helpful, li-ion packs are great for longer range FPV setups!
@@GiantAntCowboy Thanks !! Fantastic videos,, "job well done" 👍
@@GiantAntCowboy I have plenty (100 used but good) Samsung 18650, 3200mAh that I like to do something with..
@@roki5941 you have to check their “Max Current Rating”. Many of these cells are only rated to 6A which most quads easily pull just hovering. So these batteries would overheat/melt pretty quickly. You can use them to power your equipment though, or even build a large parallel (2p, 3, 4p!) pack to power a field charger. I started doing this with old li-ion packs I don’t use much anymore. Thanks for checking out the videos, happy to hear they were entertaining!
How do you adjust the MW?
@@4dscreenart from the VTX menu. Google “HDZero Stick Commands” for proper set up and use information.
is the 1080p mode "stutter" problem fixed with a update?
@@Jenou_YT the stutter problem has been made better but still exists. Basically it’s caused by moving fast at 30fps with a high shutter speed. If you could lower the shutter speed enough the stutter would go away but then it’d be really blurry! With that said, I fly 1080p30 all the time. If flying in wide open spaces it’s easy to get used to, but It’s not usable for a tiny whoop flying fast in tight environments. Hope that helps.
So was the freestyle hdz able to pull the same distance?
@@cajah1000 yea with high gain antennas HDzero performs great. Here’s a 7km run with HDzero & DIY Antennas that had perfect signal/image the whole time. ua-cam.com/video/CYphV5FPbYc/v-deo.html Was a Super fun video, check it out!
what diameter copper plates? :)
@@mariusztv4339 I used "Copperlab 2-5/8 Inch Round Circle Disc Copper" f0r $15 and it's enough to make 12 antennas. But on a newer build I made them the same diameter as the 3D printed base, don’t remember what it was at the moment. I used tin snips to cut the copper. See the video description for more details.

little confused what is the best VTX antenna for long distance flight on DJI03?
@@admitmohan Honestly I’ve been testing antennas for years and found most decent omni antennas work well on the VTX; ultimately taller is better. On other builds I’ve really liked the iFlight Alabtross antennas because they are tall, tough, and also inexpensive! For this build I’m currently using HGLRC Hammer antennas because they are tall but also they have direct UFL connectors. If you use a UFL to SMA pigtail you could run basically any antennas. But long story short the stock antenna is linear and too short for long-range uses. Using two long antennas Omni antennas gives better results.

What flight mode do you use in the forest and elsewhere?
I would guess it's acro as it's just easier to fly once you get the hang of it, I myself haven't flown anything else after the first week of learning to fly 7 years ago. If you're still flying any of the self level modes, do yourself a favor and get off them as soon as possible, it may not seem like it when starting out but acro is actually easier to fly with more control.
@@JakeBullit123 I fly both Acro & Angle modes depending on what I’m doing. But honestly with this tiny quad i actually love Angle Mode; and I’ve been flying quads in Acro for over 5 years. This is especially true when flying in thick forest because there’s so many branches and this tiny quad easily gets knocked around or stuck in them. In Acro it’s very easy to over-correct when hitting a surprise branch which then crashes you into another branch… in Angle mode regaining control is much easier, and keeps you flying. I’ve heard there’s a “Crash Recovery” mode that helps in Acro, but I’ve never tried it. In more open spaces I definitely prefer Acro mode though, just gives smoother control. Hope that’s helpful. P.s. Flying fast through tight forest with this tiny quad is literally the funnest thing I’ve done in FPV. I’m going to share a short video of my forest flights and fails, I’m just laughing the whole time!! Thanks for watching, cheers!
@@ugpfpv361 thanks, I mainly fly acro. Just in tight spots horizon mode can help you bounce off objects and keep going.

But I just explained above why i actually like Angle in the forest, especially with this tiny quad which so easily gets knocked around and stuck in branches. Acro for the most part is the way though, it’s just so much smoother and controlled.
@@GiantAntCowboy Thanks for the comprehensive reply.Echos my thoughts/flying style.
- O3 You can do it! Just do it! You can! Blackmagick can and you can too! Great video thank you! 😊
@@vkuran yea, ultimately given the dramatic lighting the image looked pretty good. I filmed in CineLike and did some color grading obviously, but not bad for a quad with an AUW of 150g! Thanks for watching, appreciate the comment!
Haha wow! Next level! 😍
@@LivLazer thanks, appreciate the comment!!
That scared the sh&t out of me.
@@befreebailbonds3329 yes! That’s what I was hoping! Could you image just flying around and seeing this! Haha, appreciate the comment, cheers!
I had this happen to me!!! But I was recording with a go pro so I never saw it.
Haha!🤣
Whaaaat😮 So cool!
@@gunnhildpaulinelystad4895 thanks, figured you’d like it 😉👍
Really loved this!
@@InfinityDrones thanks, was a fun project! Fun to do something different with drone footage.
Your short film was awesome! Love this...
@@colibrifpv thanks, the shot itself was cool, but I wanted to make it a bit more interesting. Appreciate the comment bud!
There are the most perfect buy advice videos because there is no bullshit, straight to the point. I have one question, with iflight patch and two long pointy antennas and then two iflight albatross omni, is there any signal behind your goggles? I like to sit down when I freestyle and fly 360 degrees around me sometimes in a circel 250 to 500 meters wide. With the stock antennas on my goggles v2 this is somewaht doable but on the goggles 3 and the avata 2 it's fricking amazing. How do I replicate that on my goggles v2? Sure when I fly in front of me I can move my head in the direction of where the quad is but I don't ever want to have to fully turn around. So how do I still get signal behind me with just only patch antennas?
@@KainniaK yea thanks, glad you enjoyed the video/tests. With DJI I haven’t yet tested 360° performance with this Helical antennas/iFlight Crystal setup. However, with my HDzero setup I used four helical antennas and could fly 500m behind myself before having signal issues. DJI has better signal performance than HDzero so I would imagine DJI would also have no problem do a 500m circle with this antenna setup. Let me know what you end up doing and stay tuned, cheers!
@@GiantAntCowboy But Helical antennas all the rf is focussed towards an angle in front of you so how can there be signal behind you?
@@KainniaK Helical antennas are focused in front for sure, and you’ll be able to fly 20x further in front, but the antenna still picks up signals from the sides & back at close range, up to 500m in good conditions. Google: “helical antenna radiation pattern” for images illustrating what I mean. The performance on the sides is often worse than the back actually… I’ve been using helicals for years and really like them. Really cheap & easy to make!
Wow this is really good! i like it! 😎👍🏻
@@ironlionfpv thanks man, appreciate the comment. I thought it came out pretty cool!
How do i find part 2?
@@X862go sorry, I didn’t really call it officially call it Part II I guess. • Here’s a link Part II- ua-cam.com/video/HhiX9TU7Fc4/v-deo.html • There’s also a Part III where it goes horribly wrong… - ua-cam.com/video/uHR3fSS-ZcY/v-deo.html Thanks for watching!
Did you move over to dji 03? I'm currently on 03 but wondering if i can get better range on another system 🤔
@@X862go hey, i currently fly DJI O3 & HDzero, they’re the best options for me. DJI O3 has by far the best signal performance I’ve ever seen. I’ve tested analog, HDZero, WalkSnail & DJI. Here’s a recent video I made testing 5 different antenna setups on my DJI O3 system. I also included penetration comparisons from the other systems for reference. Maybe this will be helpful. Which goggles and antennas are you using?
You've got some really sick shots there man! Epic!
@@InfinityDrones thanks man! Some highlights from over the years. Have been looking for an excuse to use them.
