    For the modular o3 concept, @protofpv frames (most of them) allow for more or less modular mounting. A few screws to pop it out and then just screw it all back into the new frame. It’s pretty cool. I love modular, especially with multiple quads needed for various operations. Just makes things easier.

      @@JonFloFPV I’ll have to look into those frames. With the price of a DJI O3 or soon O4 unit, it’d be nice to have some interchangeability.
      Additionally if you’re doing a shoot you could have a back up ready to go in case it breaks.

      @@DanielJohnFPV great place to live, peaceful, safe, & beautiful. Plenty of weather here though, can be rainy, windy, snowy for weeks.
      The sun is funny; 6hrs of light during mid winter, but 24hrs in mid-summer!
      Most towns have low populations so there’s very few restaurants or bars outside of the major cities.
      Moving here from EU is easy, but from the USA would require some special reason. I’m from NY originally but married a girl from Norway, so it was no problem for me to get residency.

      @@Bikingbark Interesting. Yea I noticed it because suddenly i had jello in my video feed… then discovered these nuts, tightened them, jello gone. But I’ve had to do this again more than once.
      Yesterday I just removed the nuts & installed some extra rubber bushings. Tighten everything up and it flys great.
      I think this will be a permanent fix for me. My first thought was to use locktite but then I notice one of the nuts seemed to have stripped threads (Wasn’t able to fully tighten it up).

    Great review! I have the GepRC Darkstar 20 and I love it, this does seem better though

    • @GiantAntCowboy
      @GiantAntCowboy  4 місяці тому

      @@InfinityDrones Yea I can’t compare unfortunately, but over the years I’ve had a couple 3” cinewhoops, and this is much smaller & lighter which makes it great for flying tight lines.
      I have a dozen quads of various sizes, but for cinematic FPV I could probably get by with just this quad & my trusty 7” quad.
      My only hesitation is DJI O3 footage quality, I haven’t spent enough time using the O3 footage yet, in general it seems my GoPro 11 performs better in most situations, but I’m working on a comparison video about that now. So we’ll see if we can’t “close the gap” a bit.
      Thanks for watching, appreciate the support!

    • @InfinityDrones
      @InfinityDrones 4 місяці тому

      @@GiantAntCowboy Gopro will have bettery dynamic range i think. I think you'll find that you'll get the best footage from O3 in dlog mode and at lower fps. Think the gopro being a separate camera definitely gives it the edge since you can run 24fps (getting more light on that sensor) vs the 60fps from the O3. The O3 really reminds me of the Gopro 9 camera quality but with the 10bit colour option - Would say it compares to the 9-10 more and the 11 should beat it comfortably.

    • @GiantAntCowboy
      @GiantAntCowboy  3 місяці тому +1

      @InfinityDrones yea the high contrast/dynamic range seems to be the biggest issue. I’ve been experimenting with CineLog, but just need to spend more time testing different settings.
      I think my GoPro 11 will always be superior, but if I can get close enough that’s fine, especially since this Pavo20 is not going to be carrying a GoPro of any sort.

    Look into oddityrc. They blow the pavos out of the water. The pavos are just shitty clones and they can't compare performance and durability wise.

    • @GiantAntCowboy
      @GiantAntCowboy  4 місяці тому

      @@le_ti_lik cool, I just checked out their website/different quads, definitely seem like nice options and pretty similar indeed. Honestly though in the last 5 years most quads have become nearly identical. There’s minor changes in frames & motors, but most improvements are barely noticeable to the average pilot.
      One thing I do like about the Pavo Series is that they come without a VTX/Camera, so you can buy the quad for $100 and use existing FPV gear.
      As I said in the video it’d be really cool if the O3 Cage fit could snap on to various drones. So you could quickly swap the O3 between quads!
      Anyway thanks for watching, and sharing your experience, cheers!

    • @le_ti_lik
      @le_ti_lik 3 місяці тому

      @@GiantAntCowboy That's the thing, they all fly similar but none of them fly as good as an oddity. :D People have gotten accustomed to mediocrity, not high performance.
      They also sell a no-o3. If you ever break the pavo I highly recommend getting an oddity frame and transplanting into that. You'll get more flight time, better flight performance and you'll never break the duct.
      Beta, gep and the rest might have cloned the looks but none of them got the plastic mixture right and some of them even have air pockets inside the ducts making them brittle af.
