This show peaked and should have ended when they defeated Lucifer the first time. After that it went more and more off the rails until it didn't even resemble what it originally was, they didn't even play classic rock anymore other than Wayward Son at the finale, which got overplayed fast. I feel like going back and re-watching sometimes, but I'm worried I'll be disappointed to see what it was and what it became.

Immortality is NOT a treat, or gift. It's a curse. Living forever will get boring, and your sanity would deteriorate and your brain would literally be FILLED. Let's say you keep your sanity somehow, now fast forward to the "Heat Death" of the universe. Congratulations, you get to float around forever I an empty universe with nothing. Absolutely nothing. Everything, everyone all GONE. That would be the worst form of hell.

Honestly it might have been Chuck who gave him the idea(even if indirectly). A random magic gun floating around changing hands back and forth would be an interesting plot point for his "story".

Technically, I believe God can recreate somthing Amara Destroyed Perfectly, but Death cannot. Also Death was a creation by God to try and balance himself without needing Amara. However, as the necessary wills to create Amara were locked away with her, Death was an imperfect Copy of her using the next best Wills. Another interesting idea is that Souls are the "crystallized" forms of the Wills in the "Void"/Nonexistance.

My theory is Creation and Destruction are their own beings (think like an Outer God from Elden Ring) that sit outside of reality and are in a constant competition of making and unmaking and God/Chuck and Amara/The Darkness are the personifications of these outer gods made reality to shape and unshape reality.

Without Sam being manipulated into killing lillith (and only one of azazel's psychic children were powerful enough to kill her), the final seal couldn't be broken Without dean (being Michael's perfect vessel, he was by definition not hell-worthy) torturing someone in hell, the first seal couldn't be broken - so did the demons find someone else to break seal 1 instead? I think that War, Famine, Pestilence and Death are four concepts of reality, with the humanoid personifications we see being just those concepts hyperconcentrated into sentient forms - just as you said. Their rings appear to give them power to inflict their concept onto others, but I think they are also what binds them into their forms. My headcanon: lucifer's second attempt at an uprising was foretold by prophets from ancient times, but because of the nature of prophecy (and how stories change with time) some details got distorted. This created something of a bootstrap paradox, where lucifer collected and bound these four concepts because he believed that was what he had to do in order to carry out the defeat of Michael. He was working to "The Apocalypse", which had been written vaguely predicting that lucifer would bring about war and death and plagues and the individualised desperate hunger of a post apocalyptic society, that we saw in the flash forward episode. So a prophet forsaw people dying, diseases and hunger rampant, and terrible conflict among people, which then lead lucifer to specifically bind those four entities as "part of the plan". If the prophet had written about "the terrible shortage of toilet paper" then perhaps lucifer would've tried to raise a 5th horseman, being "difficulty in cleaning oneself after going to the loo", or perhaps just "filth" But of course, the prophecy was all part of Chuck's doing as a specifically planned bait and switch to get lucifer to raise the entities, bind them with 4 rings and in doing so create the means of his own downfall. Seperate headcanon, I think the reason famine was so weak when we saw him is because (relative to centuries past) modern day society and America specifically is a land of such plenty that the _concept of hunger_ would be that much weaker, and so he was too. War has never really stopped and inter-person conflicts have NEVER stopped, and disease evolves to keep pace with life's attempt to survive the disease, so both War and Pestilence were comparatively stronger. They never disappeared or faded from our (humanities) lives, just changed in their form Death meanwhile, simply IS. Life can't exist without the concept of that life ending, so as long as there is a single living thing in the universe Death would exist. But what an incredible superweapon to have if you wanted to kill all humanity: a sentient being powerful enough to kill with but a thought or a touch, who possesses such other powers as to create natural disasters (and therefore cause the deaths that would follow). To have such an entity at your command would be pretty neat for lucifer, hence why he did the whole "raise death / bind death into a singular form and make it subject to my will" spell. Had lucifer not done that, (and my theory, 3 other similar related spells elsewhere to bind the other 3 horsemen), then the concepts would've still existed but without any humanoids wearing those special rings of power: rings which of course got collected by the Main Characters, as a deus ex machina to open the cage again. In a real sense it's quite fun, and in a META sense (ie from Chuck's perspective) it's acrually quite contrived. He should've done a second draft I think. I think Kripke did a great job to be clear

Take the rabbits foot and the coin of tiamat... Throw the coin into a well and wish that you can never in any way lose the rabbits foot. Cheap godly luck. The rabbits foot should keep the negatives from tiamat at bay and the wish should keep the negs from the foot at bay.

My theory is that the Shedim were some of gods early creations around the time that Amara was still wiping out Chucks creations. I think that god had gotten tired of this and in order to stop it he created something darker or just as dark as Amara as a last ditch attempt. In doing so he created something Amara or himself couldn’t destroy. Which is why when he defeated The Darkness and created the universe, he could only lock them up. This would explain Lucifers fear of the Shedim as Chuck probably told him stories about them.

Surprised you never mentioned how the Ruby - worked colt always looked duller and not as powerful. It killed demons in a weird way vs when it was made by Samuel Colt originally, it lit them up golden and some sort of reaper took them away

Actually the "Knights of Hell" aren't *entirely* fictional... They are based on the seven "Princes" or "Dukes" of Hell as depicted in Christian and Hebrew demonology and the Keys of Solomon. So depending on your faith, they could be very real...

Chuck protected Sam and Dean. This is seen and explained in multiple episodes, mainly the one where he takes their luck and they have to win it back.

Not sure if this has been said before, please enjoy my mini rant. - The way I see Death and him getting replaced is simple, he was the original death, there were none before him. However death needed to exist so it was a position that was to be handed down, problem was that no one had killed a reaper before. Death working as normal between his death and the new death doesn't mean anything due to death continuing to exist while he was sealed. This leads me to believe that as long as there are reapers death will exist. Death has always and will always exist, but my question is who was older Death or the void?

Natural order is equivalent to mysterious ways in real life lol.
