I started the entire series all over again. I’m on season 4 right now and I can’t tell you how many amazing details I have noticed on my rewatch. Supernatural is such an amazing show.
@@was_upgaming4363 it is actually. Although it starts to feel a little out of place after a while seeing angels and demons and archangels or death itself, given we started with just ghosts and general monsters.
I used to have a replica of this necklace until one night it fell off the table and one of the horns broke off. I wore it all the time until it broke. I knew exactly how dean felt when he said he felt naked without it.
Maybe it was created by Lucifer (it obviously had a lot of divine power) to warn of God's presence after their falling out, hence the humanoid shape with horns. Maybe the Prince's or Lilith used it to avoid God directly since they were strong enough to handle rank in file angels but would be smote by God in an instant. Another one of the archangels could also have created it to search for God after his departure (probably Michael) since we know they were desperate to find him.
YES! Just wanted to point that out! Supposedly after his meeting with God, Moses came back with horns on his head. Most probably its mistranslation, but still, for a long time Moses was depicted with horns
It could be a depiction of Moses. It was said that when he came down from the mountain his face shown bright with light because of him talking with God and that the people had to divert their eyes. You might ask what about the horns? Well the way that the original Hebrew depicts Moses can be translated as “horns.” Now that isn’t what the text is saying but it could be what the authors used since there are many sculptures throughout history that depict Moses with little horns. Famously Moses was the one that could talk directly with God and that seems to be a major connection with this piece of art. Just a theory but it would answer why it shines when in proximity with God and why it could also be used to speak directly to God. Let me know what you guys think.
Great video! Loved the pan stuff, would love some more mythology videos in the future! I always assumed it was meant to be some sort of lucky charm akin to the rabits foot, maybe a hand of god that had used up its power, except not cursed, the fact that bobby meant it to be a present for john always made presume it was something bobby acquired but didn't think much value towards (bobby strikes me as the type of guy who doesn't like to rely on luck)
I love your stuff but, one small correction about 15 seconds in... the Impala isn't a prop. Baby is a full fledged character haha! That aside, I'm just finishing up binge watching your entire line up. Really nice work my friend! Truly looking forward to seeing a lot more videos from you in the future!
The face kinda looks like old depictions of god Baal and Moloch(horns). Many people theorize that they were the same deity as Yahweh, just called a different name.
Personally, I think given the name of the channel you could really make videos about any sci-fi, fantasy or whatever weird topic show. I wouldn't mind seeing some theories about the Magicians. I really liked that show and am sad that they cancelled it too.
One little correction but Fare Thee Well wasn’t written by Bob Dylan, that was a rendition. Fare Thee Well real name is called Dink’s Song and it was written and sung by a African American women during the Great Depression, the song was about her husband leaving to the big city to find work to support them while she lived in a shantytown with their children.
The horns on the amulet are clearly bull horns, not goat horns. So it cannot be Pan. It cannot possibly be the true image of the Lord, neither due to the fact that the horns are not antlers.
After seeing horns and an African looking sculpted face, and knowing its associated with a creator god, I immediately thought of the Egyptian god Amun. He was one of the primordial gods in their religion and was eventually merged with Ra and the new kingdom worshipped him as their creator under the name Amun-Ra, but this wasn’t specific to Egypt. There were also Amun-Zeus and Amun-Jupiters. Usually depicted with goat horns. Maybe I’m partial because of the content on my own channel, but I’m going to assume Amun-Ra and Chuck were the same being.
The god Yahweh was originally associated with bulls when the Israelites were still polytheists. That is why the golden calf appeared in the Bible. It wasn't a different god, just an older way to worship him.
No, bulls were associated with the religion that Nimrod's wife started. Babylon had a bull l where human sacrifices were put in the stomach and roasted to death. Yahweh was never associated with bulls. The Ba'als were.
Heres a significantly better idea, we know heaven had several different tools that were occasionally used by mortals example mosses staff, and cass was the first to have ever talked about that necklace usefulness, so what if that was one of the many heavenly weapons or items that was eventually left down here which would explain why joshua had his own as well he had it and you could even say thats what he used to speak to god himself, so those necklaces are simply heavenly items that eventually fell down to earth, again it would explain why cass an angel would know of it and what it did to begin with
They say the devil has horns and considering the devil ( lucifer ) is gods favourite, maybe god first gave it to lucifer so he always knows when he's near.
I always assumed it was sumerian or mesopotamian. Perhaps later Syrian. That region has loads of carved reliefs of horned dieties. One commonly shown as stock footage of ancient aliens looks almost identical to his necklace
It almost looks African in descent so it makes me wonder if it is a representation of the first people "God-Chuck" created (the whole Africa is the cradle of life theory) and that's why it glows in the presence of "God-Chuck" as they would have been the first people to bare witness to him...
I think it's ment to represent Ba'al. Ba'al was represented by a bull and is one of the best candidates for who Yahweh (the jewish name for God) was based on.
-horned figure
-moses connection
Due to mistake of translation from Hebrew, Moses was portrayed with horns in Middle Ages
Not a bad idea but it’s obviously just the head of Baal
@@SasukeUchiha-ql5jgit looks nothing like ba'al
Someone else knows this! I learned it through art history.
Maybe the necklace is HOW Joshua spoke with Gid, and that wasn't a separate ability.

Stop at season 5 right before Sam appears under the light plz
@@classic6288 😂 I’ll be sure to take this under advisement
Is it worth the rewatch cause you know some shows are just boring to rewatch even if you loved it the first time

I'm sure that's true but Itd be true of anything you wear everyday
I think the explanation of poetic irony with the calf idol makes the most sense, as it plays to Chuck’s Ego as a writer/creator.
~_~
Nature is so perfect in the show that EVEN LUCIFER recognise in that dean apocalipse flashback episode
If Gab can cosplay as Loki Chuck can cosplay as Pan
And Cas as Leviathan 😂
"DM the lord"... "swirlypop" 😂

i actually like this theory a lot
"gaudy godly amulet"

Love that you show Ember when talking about Pan 😅
Close. Remember, Moses was represented as having horns. Maybe the person is supposed to be Moses as it fits in with him seeing god.
YES! Just wanted to point that out! Supposedly after his meeting with God, Moses came back with horns on his head. Most probably its mistranslation, but still, for a long time Moses was depicted with horns
From my copious amounts if art history classes: horns were a mistranslation of the light that he eminated. Odd but true.
This was an Awesome Video for Dean Winchester’s Necklace.
Loving the clips from The Magicians!

Maybe it depicts the Canaanite god El/Elyon who Yahweh is often conflated with. Supposedly, Elyon is sometimes depicted with bull horns.
I think bull horns were a common symbol of strength and power in ancient southwest asia. Many Mesopotamian deities wear horned headdresses.
I was looking for this comment. This would be my guess as well.
5am upload and I am here for it

The shape and design of Dean's necklace seems more like it came from the Hindu part of the world.
Yeah like Hindu or some kind of Indian religion
Behelit
The amulet indeed looks like a goat or humanoide with horns, but i love that prop from Dean's...is so cool tho ❤
Personally, I think given the name of the channel you could really make videos about any sci-fi, fantasy or whatever weird topic show. I wouldn't mind seeing some theories about the Magicians. I really liked that show and am sad that they cancelled it too.
It's Goatboy, turns out that Chuck is an SNL fan. Another option it could have been was in the shape of a VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER!
"My name is Chuck Shirley, and I am a motivational speaker!"

It is likely a Dhokra craft head amulet, but of who or what I don't know. I don't know enough about India.
Horns are beyond prevalent in history, this specific depiction is obviously Baal or Enkidu.

I always help me lose supernatural adhd questions 😂🎉❤
Nope my head cannon is this is the idol of the lost roast chicken god. From a distance all I see is a roast chicken..🍗
Heres a significantly better idea, we know heaven had several different tools that were occasionally used by mortals example mosses staff, and cass was the first to have ever talked about that necklace usefulness, so what if that was one of the many heavenly weapons or items that was eventually left down here which would explain why joshua had his own as well he had it and you could even say thats what he used to speak to god himself, so those necklaces are simply heavenly items that eventually fell down to earth, again it would explain why cass an angel would know of it and what it did to begin with
What if Moses use the blue flame to forge the amulet?
The gold from the golden calf, was melted down and ingested by the people
Contained acacia, not entirely gold as they used to “animate” idols or statues with drugs, making the statues seem to speak when under influence
Looks like an early depiction of baal.
I always wonder how strong lucifer would be with the angle tablet
They say the devil has horns and considering the devil ( lucifer ) is gods favourite, maybe god first gave it to lucifer so he always knows when he's near.
I always thought it was Baal
Yep. There is also Chemosh that defeated Yahweh in the Bible.
Ngl for the longest time i though this amulet was a small raw chicken, i was extremely disappointed to learn, its not
God and the darkness conversation about his first creation...a fern.
The Impala is a hand of god by the end.
I always assumed it was sumerian or mesopotamian. Perhaps later Syrian. That region has loads of carved reliefs of horned dieties. One commonly shown as stock footage of ancient aliens looks almost identical to his necklace
2005 is chuck God ? 2020 "is chuck God ?" 2024 "is chuck God ?'
The prop i feel could be anything, i feel like god made sure it ended up with dean tho
It almost looks African in descent so it makes me wonder if it is a representation of the first people "God-Chuck" created (the whole Africa is the cradle of life theory) and that's why it glows in the presence of "God-Chuck" as they would have been the first people to bare witness to him...
well, sam gave it to dean. where he got it from, unknown
Can you explain the akrida from "the Winchesters"?
I think it’s obviously Elyon
❤❤❤
call brother
BIG stretch!!!
Its a Behelit and the real reason Dean becomes a demon lol
It is likely a Dhokra craft head amulet, but of who or what I don't know. I don't know enough about India.
By repurposing God ensures that there are no competitors
for realzis
Didn't lucifer say that it was him the burning bush not chuck?
At least when he was tricking Sam to the cage, he didn’t mention the bush burning in the Bible.
Actually I like the idea that a Prophet made it most. Moses or someone else 😊
Hey, I would really love if you could do a video explaining the men of letters
It could be Azazel who is offered a scapegoat sent out into the wilderness while a lamb is sacrificed unto The Lord
Is Joshua Jesus in the show?
No, Jesus is mentioned but never shown in the show. And he wasn’t the son of Chuck
I think that Chuck himself might be Jesus. Jesus is supposed to be God incarnated as a man, I think.
Hanging and bangin, yea its pan have you met dean?
You should look up statues of Yahweh. The Supernatural version is pretty close. I don't think he has horns though.
God had a beef with a cow "fake" god statue meanwhile cows are considered sacred in India.
What do u make out of this ?
I think it's ment to represent Ba'al. Ba'al was represented by a bull and is one of the best candidates for who Yahweh (the jewish name for God) was based on.
Could be a scam from the fake "God" chuck. My reasoning ? This channel
