Tremendous. Lots to unpack here but very very well done. I used to bag Mizzy for years and now PXG. I did same w my irons combo’d 0317CB/T and added an 0311P in my 5 iron. Very similar to what you mentioned here w Mizuno. I’m afraid to test these clubs right now because midway through north east season I’m playing very good golf right now. 👍🏻. I will come late fall as season winds down here test these to compare my numbers. I saw somewhere Mizuno ramping up a new JPX line soon so who knows. Can’t keep up w this stuff, it’s like buying a laptop. Your review(s) here are spot on, educational, informative especially for the dialed in golf consumer. I’ve commented before and I appreciate the work and professionalism you’ve put into producing these. Great job. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks as always Scott, your support really is appreciated!! The 0317 CB/T/P combo set sounds phenomenal. Truthfully, everyone is making super solid products right now; So while you may be tempted to test others, I think those PXG’s will stack up to pretty much anything out there. Hearing rumblings of a that new JPX line you mentioned as well as possibly some new stuff from PXG 👀 Excited to get testing once they are all available!
Yeah PXG I heard no more goo in their 0311 line and also new weight designs JPX is always exciting when Mizuno launches new sticks. I think it’s going to be an exciting fall to say the least. Lots of good products out and more coming. Here’s one, you testing Titleists new GT driver when that drops against your Qi10. Drop da mic….👍🏻💣
Had a fitting last month and landed on the 923 Tours. They just arrived yesterday. Best Irons I've ever hit. Classic look, insane feel, lots of forgiveness. Only "downside" is that they are playing about 15 yards further than what I'm used to with my old 20 year old set of forged Cobras so I have to relearn my distances.
I got fitted a month ago, and the JPX 923 forged have an amazing feel not much help with distance, however the forgiveness was awesome. 7 iron was reaching distances at 200 with such a smooth yet fast feeling launch. Definitely under rated☝️. Never got to swing the tours however I can't imagine much difference.
I got fitted 3 months ago and my top two performing of the 6 I was handed were the 923 forged and the p790. I ultimately went the 790s because I’ve always had TM clubs, but I absolutely loved the 923. Had I went into it without knowing what I was handed and went with feel and numbers, I probably would have went with the 923s. Such an awesome club and I wish my fitter was a bit better, cause I was handed clubs from players to players distance. I probably should have gone with a combo set. Atleast in regards to the TM, I easily could have gone 790/770 or even 770/P7MB or MC. I do better with narrow clubs, I feel even my 790s are way to wide for me. My first set of irons 30 years ago, were ridiculously thin and I never had an issue hitting them. I’d actually like to measure them and see what modern club would have similar head size
Thanks for the support Brian!! I’m excited to test out the new JPX Forged model once it’s available here, hopefully in the next few months or so! Did you consider a Tour/Forged combo set when you built out your irons?
@@TheEquipmentJunkie To be honest with you I would’ve liked to have taken the tours in 8-PW but I love the forged all the way through. Don’t think the difference would be night and day for me, personally. Plus, the added forgiveness helps make this game we love a bit easier on me!
@@brianfuller1818 Extra help is extra help, so can’t blame you at all for going forged top to bottom! Just based off of Mizuno’s release cycle, yes we should be seeing/testing a new JPX line this fall/winter or early 2025 👍
Nice video. Found your channel earlier when looking for reviews on Tour AD shafts and have watched a few of your videos now. Nice approach to the clubs, lots of data, I'm a fan of the way it's all put together (I'm a big equipment nerd). Have subscribed and look forward to more videos.
@@TheEquipmentJunkie thanks for replying! You've probably already got this planned but seeing the Wilson irons in the combo set series (blade, CB and dynapower forged) would be awesome. Also for the Taylormade set I know you mentioned at the start why you left out the P7MBs but they've always seemed a lot more playable than the TWs, be interesting to see an comparison video of the P7MB Vs the P7TW
@@doggoronnie3387 I played the ‘19 Staff Model blades for a long time, so I am hoping to get a video done on those and the CB’s at some point in the future for sure! As far as the TM’s, I do agree. While I thought it would be cool to test the TW’s for viewers, I think most people would likely play the P7MB looking back on it. So that’s an unfortunate error on my end. That said, stay tuned as there might be some new Taylormade stuff coming soon you will be interested in 👀
Fantastic review mate. Very informative. Looking at the 243’s and the Blueprint s to replace my 20 yr old MP 60’s which I still adore. Keep up the great work!
Thanks much Andrew! Have you considered the T150 at all? I am planning on a 243 vs. T150 comparison video here in the near future. That said, I may also work on a 243 vs. BPS video as well…
The T 150 is a nice feeling iron too. I’m looking for a one piece fully forged club but look forward to your next vid. Would love to see you compare the 243’s v the Blueprint S!!
Love how you use different long irons to gain the distances and forgiveness feel you're after. Im using the jpx923 forged P-4 and was just thinking how nice it'd be to have a bit more forgiveness in the 4 and maybe a little in the 5. Great video. I like your take on choosing what you're aiming for. I'll probably be changing my setup as well.
Great review! I still think that just listening to the turf and ball strike, the 241’s are the ones, up to the 6 and maybe the 5 iron. You’re perfect with the 245 4 iron. Wonderful ball striking. Earlier this year I ordered a 6 iron in the 923 tour. I wore out a set of 919’s but now playing Miura TC 201’s. I always order an 8 and a 6 iron to my specs and play them instead of the current model in my bag. I love the 923’s for size but that offset drives me crazy! I know, short drive😊 Anyway, they are an excellent iron and plenty forgiving but a notch down From the 241’s because of the offset. Why not order a 241 and a 243 and see which one wins? Thanks Again for the review - well done!
I absolutely love both of them just in different ways! I’m working on a Z-Forged II vs. 241 video here soon to decide my overall winner… Hopefully out in the next week or so! That said, which one would you take?
What's the difference between jpx tour and jpx 923 forged. Just got jpx forged 923 Thursday. To range today. They were nice, high, long. & straight Cannot wait to play And I am about a 15 handicap. Hit them much better than a 15 handicapper

The JPX 923 Tours are so severely underrated. Never hit an iron that felt so good and was as consistent with a decent amount of forgiveness
