    My heater emits a burning rubber smell out of thr exhaust. The warm air is fine. Any ideas what would make the combustion gases stink of burnt rubber?

      That rubber smell is the cheep rubber gasket on the bottom of the unit. To resolve the issue I’ve replaced mine with a silicone gasket. Got a sheet of silicone through amazon cut to size👍

    I suggest watching James Condon's videos on generators - he's the guru. You did a good job cleaning the carburetor, but you neglected the pilot jet. Just like the main jet and emulsion tube you cleaned, if the pilot jet is clogged the engine may not run or will run poorly.

    What are the greenish tubes running down both sides? Are those air bags? If so, can they be removed without the van showing errors? Also...a question about the seats you removed: are the seatbelts anchored only to the seats themselves without any need to attach to walls as in traditional seat beats (ie. shoulder belt)? Can the rerouted AC be run from "shore power" at an RV park without engine on? I love your AC redo idea.

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld 2 місяці тому

      The greenish tubes are the airbags. They can be removed ,and you can use airbag resistor simulators to avoid getting an error code. The seats that were removed had shoulder seatbelts anchored to them. They are not attached to the walls. I don't know if it could be run from shore power. My guess is no because the van runs off a 12 volt battery and shore power is 120 volts to 240 volts. But I could be wrong. Check out www.fordtransitusaforum.com This site for Ford Transit owners has great info and very helpful members that can guide you in the right direction on that.

      Hey I saw you tried type 1 and 2 communication. I see it's a 2014 Ford Fiesta, how many times did you turn it on and off while programming it? 2017 and older should be 4 times while 2018 and newer is 8 times. That's the only thing I can think of.

    Not gonna lie. That shuffler is worthless. Even a moderately experienced dealer can shuffle faster than that. A full wash and standard house shuffle took me roughly 20 seconds. No wash standard shuffle was about 13 seconds.

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld 3 місяці тому

      That's faster than most dealers. I agree it is not the greatest shuffler. I used to deal at the Venetian in Las Vegas and the shuffle master and deck mate shufflers are by far the best out there. This shuffler is good for those that don't want to shuffle, don't know how to shuffle, or not as fast as a professional dealer. Using 2 decks in rotation makes it so there is no downtime waiting for a person or machine to shuffle, just like a casino. But be warned this shuffler needed to be fixed before the 1 year warranty was up. And The person who owns this table, said the customer service was horrible when trying to get it fixed. I no longer can find it on eBay or Amazon, so they may have went out of business. Poor product + poor customer service = no business

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld 3 місяці тому

      @@wesch6354 yeah about 30 seconds with no wash sounds about right for the average dealer. After dealing for so many years and taking pride in my work, I really appreciate fast efficient dealers. Whether it’s on a blackjack table or a poker table.

Well fuck that 175.00 charge being a mechanic all you need to do is remove both right and left taillights find the power for the turn signals and brake lights,running lights and use a blue pinch connector on them ,run the wires through a hole that is on each side below the taillights and hook up the temporary connector going to the trailer lights. Who said you can't use a rental for towing ?? And when your done just remove the tow hitch and remove the connector to the wires,never happened and you saved a ton of money on the rental 😊

      Yea it's bad. That's why I just turn the fuel line off and let the generator run until all the gas gets used up in the carburetor and shuts itself off. It saves me from having to clean it too much, compared to when I leave gas in it.

    Any suggestions if you can’t get the little piece out with a flat head? Mine seems totally stuck. Awesome video, going perfectly until that most important part

      The little piece may be gunked up making it hard to unscrew. Try spraying carb cleaner into it to loosen it up.

    Not sure if you're still active or not but this is the first video I've come across that discusses the angle of the support your L-bracket sits on. How did you determine that the HDPE needed to be cut at a 6 degree angle? (Thanks in advance.)

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld 5 місяців тому

      I parked my van on a flat surface and kept trimming the HDPE, checking with a level each time until it was perfectly level. The 6 degrees refers to the angle I set my table saw blade to when cutting the HDPE to make it level for my brackets. Hope this helps!

    • @satincheese
      @satincheese 5 місяців тому

      @@ChilliesWorld Thank you! That definitely helps. I wasn't sure about the level application because nothing is truly "level" in a vehicle given the surface it's sitting on and the the variable air pressure across the 4+ tires. Thanks for the tip though I will definitely try this install application on my Shuttle Bus conversion.

    So great video but I'm struggling. I'm in the rapid flashing mode for my 2019 transit. After I hold 1/2 3/4 9/0 immediately put in my five digit code on the card, but the keypad does nothing, it continues to flash rapidly? Any help would be much appreciated thank you!

      So after you put in your 5 digit code, does it blink rapidly 3 times or one time?

      And after you heard the chime, confirming the keypad and the remotes, did you take it out of programming mode before testing the remote and key fobs? At the 2:30 mark it shows how to take it out of programming mode

      @@ChilliesWorld I never got it to chime for the keypad only the remotes, unfortunately. Still appreciate your replies and making this video but I think I'm just going to pay the price and ticket to dealer. The directions that came with my unit are different from yours on the video. I have tried both ways and can't get it to work with the directions in the box or the ones in the video. Thank you very much for your time!

      Yes, I actually parked it in the middle of the road and used a level on the floor to make sure it was level both ways. The bad news is once you start traveling you never park on anything level. 🤦

    Those patches that you discovered on the roof are there for a reason. They allow you to install wiring into the inside of the van. I think you cut a hole in your roof for no reason? 😱

    • @ChilliesWorld
      @ChilliesWorld 6 місяців тому

      If you go back and watch the video, at 1:02, you can see that underneath the patches there are M8 metric nuts that are fabricated into the build. That’s what I used to attach the roof rack to with M8 bolts.
