That is a model 19 target I have one. it is identical to the K 38 masterpiece in that it has a 6" barrel with the excellent patridge front sight and the target hammer and trigger. it also has.. which a lot of folks don't notice.. a trigger strop. The Combat 38 and model 19's were normally 4" barrels and had a ramp front sight and no trigger stop. Hammer and trigger were also different. Mine is in terrible external shape with some pitting but perfect mechanical shape. the target models I believe got a tad more scrutiny before they left the factory and are very very smooth. Mine shoots within a tad or two of my 69 Python or about like my 70's Trooper or model 629 I do have a 1936 K22 masterpiece (called an outdoorsman back then) and it was supposed to shoot 2 inch groups at 50 yards... not by me lol but it is very accurate.

Probably stop spending your money on firearms and look at testosterone treatment.

The USN/USMC had another version called the M39 EMR (Enhanced Marksmans Rifle). It was essentially the same as the US Army Mk14 EBR mod1, with the only differences being the top rail, scope mount, and scope. The top rail had the first couple of picatinny sections milled off so that it could accommodate the Sadlak/SEI scope mount. The reason they went with the Sadlak/SEI over the Sage EBR mount is bc early versions of the Sage mount had issues with retaining zero. The USN/USMC used e Schmidt & Bender PSII scope instead of the Leupold Mk4 that the Army used. Side note: Smith Enterprises issued out their Crazy Horse M14 variant early in the war. They utilized the USGI fiberglass stocks, bedded actions and SEI scope mounts with Leupold Mk4 scopes. They were said to be very accurate rifles.

i just purchased a Match Target HBAR, cal 223. Barrel indicates 5.56. Mag well indicates .223. Research reveals a .223 can be fired in 5.56. But not safe 2 fire 5.56 in a .223. Should i stay w .223 Ammo?

Really need you guys to please address the cons as well for people trying to find the right AK to purchase. This is really important for example the system Z has specific maintenance issues that people may not be aware of parts loosening getting bent while operating. I would rather pay extra money for something that is 100% put together correctly. Thank you for introducing the brands however

Gotta love the Number Ones! I have three: 1-V 25- 06; 1-H 458 Winchester magnum; stainless 450 Bushmaster. All are fine rifles and great performers.
