For Arsenal the SAM series = Milled the SLR series is stamped. After that FR, SF and R means what the gun has. I.E a SLR107R means it's a stamped AK and has it's optics rail. Where's SF usually means side folder, FR's if you can find them mean side folding as well but I haven't seen one of those since the last SLR107FR's came in. Or that's how and Arsenal rep explained it to me once. Also you really should have mentioned PSA in this as they do make a solid product for the price especially since you pointed out Riley.
I’ll say it I’m very impressed with PSA Gen 5 with the FN chromed barrel 🤷🏼♂️ I have a Zastava coming to keep safe but my psa will be my work horse. Very good gun
your wrong. im more confused lol. ive always been into hand guns, probably because Dad was. but for some reason ive found myself acquiring an interest in these weapons. about now im wondering why.
My SSR-85C-2 is made from unissued Bulgarian Ministry Of Defense Type 3 AK47’s with a styer cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel, trigger group, bolt/carrier, cover, and sights, and built back up on a 1.6 MM stamped receiver from ISD Bulgaria, with blonde wood AK74 stocks and trigger guard, and all done on a production line under the supervision of Ivan Kolev, from Arsenal, it’s a beast and I love it!
You guys are doing the right thing with the weapon clearing, but you guys know a round can be stuck in the chamber? Take a check in that chamber, and also have your battle buddy do it.
Really need you guys to please address the cons as well for people trying to find the right AK to purchase. This is really important for example the system Z has specific maintenance issues that people may not be aware of parts loosening getting bent while operating. I would rather pay extra money for something that is 100% put together correctly. Thank you for introducing the brands however
Well I have both Arsenal Sam7 61 and Zastava m70 M LOK long rail version. Lots of Romanian AK's Romy G and WUM-1, SAR-1, WASR 10. I also have a MAADI MISR 10 long story short I'm an AK fan LoL.
I would prefer the 101/102 because the ammo is widely available in North America and it’s based on the 74 which is my favorite AK. But the old faithful AKM is irreplaceable
You forgot the best! The VEPR, I have two one serial number off. These are hard to get from Russia, but I got them 2 days before they were shut down by the US.
It is important to always clear a firearm and make sure the chamber is empty before handling and pointing the barrel in any direction. It really is just a good practice to have because these tools can and have killed people due to mishandling. If someone hands you a weapon it is up to you to make sure that weapon is clear to make sure no one gets killed accidentally. Another thing is to physically look into the chamber to make sure a round is not stuck or ejecting because if the trigger is pulled it can go off.
@@j-dog848 I know all that. Thanks. My question in not regarding safety protocols. My question regards the need to prove it to an audience watching a video. I feel pretty confident on this side of my computer screen that I will not be shot. These guys simply need to clear their firearms, then hit the record button and make a video. They don't have to prove to me on this side of the video.
Just find yourself some original Chinese wood furniture to put on it. Chances are somewhere down the line, someone put the plastic furniture on it because they originally came with thumbhole stocks. Then you'll have yourself a nice little piece, you could go get it appraised if you really wanted but I don't think that's necessary. You could figure it out with a little research.
In the 70s gun laws in Germany were more liberal than in the US today. Unfortunately we in Germany lost pretty much 99% of free access to firearms after we had a communist terrorist attack where some politicians were assassinated and today its pretty much impossible for average Klaus to buy a firearm. There are certain ways but its a huge hassle, and the government can come any time unannounced to control your gun(s) and being politicially active for certain parties usually lead to you losung your license alltogether even though the parties themselves are legal and democratomically elected with representation in all parliaments
Buy a Zastava m70, it comes with both tactical and standard wood stocks. Or if you want a classic military looking, get military stock and pistol grip and swap them with your new ones. Zastava is in the middle rank of the ak world, it’s affordable, easily customizable, and there are spared parts from both commercial’s and military’s. Collectible? Maybe no, maybe yes because there are older m70 models that are collectible so no doubt it will be in the future or if there would be an assault weapon ban in the future. Function wide, it’s running just as good as other ak platforms. It is a distinguished ak family like the Chinese’s and that’s one of the reasons why it should be in your collection. Buying one for collection and one for shooting 👍
There may not be any amonition on the table, but there is a hand grenade on one guys shirt !! That is very, very dangerous to have one of those there !!
I would say... not true. The Russians setup the production for the Egyptian Maadi and its practicality identical and kusa is supposedly built off the same specs.
You called it a ''clippazine '',,, it's a magazine, if you don't know basic terms ,then how can you expect me to take you seriously ,, 2nd ,, Stamped and milled receivers have both have advantages and disadvantages to them... You lost me within the first couple minutes of this video ,,,
Riley Defense RAK 47 is a cheap piece of Junk. Receiver is so thin and flimsy it looks like it is made from recycled Coke cans. A terrible piece of crap - very rough cycling action, hard to disassemble, barrel is a like shooting through a galvanized piece of pipe-horrible groups.really cheap piece of garbage. Customer service is non-existent.
They are 1.5 mm heat treated receivers with forged bolts, trunnion and carriers and everyone says they have great customer service stop spreading lies because you don't like a company
There is only one genuine AK-47 or AKM and that one is made in Russia/ Soviet Union. The rest our look alike cheap copies including the Chinese Type 56
Over 100 million made? Why so expensive now? They were cheap when there were less of them. Inflation yeah yeah yeah. Supply and demand is having a bout of gender dysphoria.
So not true stamp are lighter mild receiver is heavy stamp is heat treated and will flex way. maled to heavy nobody wants to lug those things around and nobody uses them in the modern warfare this days only 3rd 4th world countries..
Zastava are made in Serbia as 10 round magazinereceiver, and are converted to 30 round magazines in the US.

I still remember when WASR was $300 NIB and no one would by them in 2005, they were considered low quality AKs :)
I bought a Mak90 in 94 right before Clintons AWB went into effect for under 300 dollars. Now I wish I bought more!!
Finally a comment from someone who remember the good old days when we have good quality AKs in the market.
Zastava zpap m70 is the best ak for the money period. The only draw back is its heavy af
Another drawback..."Read Owners Manual Before Use" is etched into the receiver.
Gotta agree, Zastava has taken over the bang for your buck category
It’s heavy for girls.
low recoil, if you tried other AKs the zastava is going to have less recoil than other 7.62x39 aks
TBF, they’re all heavy as fak

People who either don’t know what they’re talking about or who sell Riley defense AKs
Bought my Father a Riley Defense AK a few years ago and he still loves it and it’s a sweet shooter.
Yep. There is nothing wrong with current Rileys. They have been solid for a while now.@@leadhead7338
Apparently it was a small ass early batch that had the cast trunion but the internet loves to bash things they don't have experience with

Zastava
Thank you guys for this great knowledge dump on the AKs. You confirmed that I had a good one in the ZPAP Z70.

Zastava AK’s have been chrome lined.
Are the early 80's Chinese
SKS type 56 desirable 🤔
Those price suggestions are brutal. Maybe the prices for an FFL dealer wholesale but not retail.
You guys are doing the right thing with the weapon clearing, but you guys know a round can be stuck in the chamber? Take a check in that chamber, and also have your battle buddy do it.
I have a saiga 7,62x39 sporter I want to customize any recommendations?
Please mention Klashnicarve; guy makes custom furniture for any AK style. Doesn't look too pricey either (for the most part)
Have Saiga will trade for Vepr or Norinco.....
Underrated video

Just ordered a zpap m70uf as my first ak! Did I make a bad choice
Yes
Literally the least desirable stock option, from a leas desirable manufacturer.
Meridian Defense or Rifle Dynamics??
This video is gold basi c details and good format and background
Wbp jack over here…no regret!
Polish rifles should have been covered in their video.
W.B.P. is for ME ! 😏
Its a b**** and a half to get a Beryl.

Wasr 10 for the win
That last 7.’62 the for grip ??
Will that fit the FEG SA2000
I would prefer the 101/102 because the ammo is widely available in North America and it’s based on the 74 which is my favorite AK. But the old faithful AKM is irreplaceable
Thoughts on Hungarian FEG SA2000
Zastava's arn't made in USA, they're made in Serbia
I was waiting for guy in glasses to pick his nose and eat it😅
@@dougshelton69 yo you cooked him 😂
yo you got cooked 🤣
They do have a factory in Illinois but they just make the rifles 922R compliant so they can sell it to civilians.
You forgot the best! The VEPR, I have two one serial number off. These are hard to get from Russia, but I got them 2 days before they were shut down by the US.
Just buy all of them 😎
Like your videos plz don’t stop updating
is there some kind of law forcing you to prove there is no bullet in the chamber?

i have a post ban mak 90 but it has poly furniture on it.. does that hurt the value?
Hi Matt,
Depends. I would get it appraised. There's lots of free services out there!

I ❤ my Polytech Legend AK-47S. Awesome quality Type III. If you want a quality AKM these days, Palmetto State Arms is a great choice.

You guys must hate PSA because you didn't even mention them with their lifetime warranty are at least better than the bottom three that you, mentioned
the one that doesn't get you killed
WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT 556 AND 9MM GUNS I THOUGHT THIS WAS BEST AK
Type 56 is the best
I bought my first ak the other day it’s a KR 103 sfs kalashnikov red wood

These guys don't know jack $#!t. So much misinformation... Yes, I collect imported AKMs.
Just get Arsenal (proper one, not the US one) made and you are good to go.
Is this what they mean by
'Soy Guntube'?
Wbp Polish ak are way better.
Izzy AK 74 is much better and more expensive then any SGL aks.
I'd rather get PSA , AKs are problematic and there warranty is the best
Terrible and extremely misleading information in this video. You really need to do more research!
An AK without chrome line barrel is a broken ak
Please stop with all the gun clearing. It’s obnoxious. A simple discloser should cover it. We’re not morons.
You can`t find a $500.00 AK anywhere , not even a parts kit for $500.00
Make a gun broker account and just type in recently sold AK-47’s and there’s plenty even under $500
PSA, Riley defense. Keep an eye out for sales. Those are bottom of the barrel.
But you can find them around $500.
