Yeah I ammmmm debating starting up LE again for the new cycle! There’s also a new D3 season about to start. I don’t think I should make a new PoE character until I finish the storyline on this one, definitely need to focus. But the seasons coming up are definitely tempting! I’d like to push my LE Cthonic Fissure/Golem build (stopped playing cause one of my friends couldn’t play anymore and it didn’t feel right playing without him), see if it’s still super fun! I will see how far I can get into the PoE story, maybe I can set aside a week to just play all day and burn through it, idk about a league character as well cause I have barely touched the one this season 🤣 I think I would like to play a league after I finish the storyline and do a comparison of the characters!

@@CassKGaming well, the current PoE league (Necropolis) is way too overwhelming and complicated for new players, and that might be different on the upcoming one (we're not sure either...) but it's always so exciting to play on the day 1 of a new league! I see all the streamers I like playing, a lot of people testing new builds, and crazy predictions of how the league mechanic will work! it's a perfect day, even on an ultimately underwhelming league as this current one

@pedroupaiva oh well then I suppose I have to try it out and stream it on launch 🤣 the Necropolis league has been interesting, I figured out the base mechanics okay enough, I just haven’t had the time to delve into it, PLUS I didn’t want to get further ahead than this character! I might see if my mate wants to team up for some chaos :)

Yeah I know it’s not great. I have a heap of stuff in the bank that I can mess around with and hopefully get some improvements happening! Okay str belt, Amber or citrine amulet, rings with resist, got it! Hopefully I can get online for a little bit tomorrow before our gaming tournament begins! Or during, if I get bored, lol. Then I am looking at gems as well (I have screenshots of the advice), so potentially a new gear and spell set up in the next adventure. I will keep everything and show pieces I think are alright and if you see something you think would work better for me, let me know. I am thinking about swapping around items, killing some trash mobs, changing things up and seeing what works best (that would be my usual go to for improvement). But you’re actually right cause it has been ages since I upgraded anything and I think I could potentially have some good items banked, once I magic them up 🪄

Hehe ‘gtfo’ was the theme but I wanted to make sure I didn’t miss any surprises. I am wrestling with 2 halves of my nature- the completionist that wants to do everything and the zoomer that wants to just get to the next bit of content. I didn’t really mean to explore the whole place though, just went the dumb way around 🤣 aaaaaand by the time I realised that I just decided I may as well explore 🤦🏻‍♀️

Awwwww math :( Okay so 5 levels in that area, gotcha. I was only a ‘little’ kidding about the overlevelling ;) I’ll try to keep an eye on it though. I am assuming the areas that branch out from this new Basecamp will bring the enemies closer to me. I will just have to try and ensure I am a bit higher but not too much higher!

Ahhh I was thinking it was more of an ‘either’ ‘or’ type deal, just having one movement spell on the bar. It can definitely go back since I am not really using Vaal Firestorm too much.

@@CassKGaming Nah, they serve different roles. Attack ones have no cooldowns and generally have lower mana costs, so they are better for general traversal. Spell ones almost always have instantaneous movement but have cooldowns, so they are better for clearing gaps and "uh oh" moments.

Hehe I am starting to see that the gems/spells I get… the enemies get them too! So unfair 🤣🤣🤣 I probably need to turn down the spell area effects option a little (I do LOVE the big explosions though) to see the telegraphs from enemies a bit better! I will see about it for later in the game, cause I am definitely noticing the difficulty ramping up a bit, so knowing the telegraphs from enemies will be important! I got toasted with an aoe bleed earlier in this act but eventually noticed it so I could get around/out of it 😁 Figuring it all out! But yeah I am having THE BEST time! This game is peak fun!

Yeah I just have the Clarity and Vitality atm. BUT I did get a stack of 4+ gem slot gear and am hoping at least a couple work out as upgrades, so then I have more slots for supports and auras. Omg… I could literally be a human curse! Brb, off to the shop 🤣 I have literally woken up like 1 minute ago but I want to boot up the game right now 🤣 You should see some of these new gems in the vid after next! Thank you so much for the break down :) I have definitely noticed some ground effects and that I rush into them too quickly 🤣 I just have to learn to take my time a bit better! I do intend to use the flasks as much as I can, I just REALLY do forget and yeah I know it must be frustrating to see me go through so slowly when you’re all used to powering through. I just hope you guys can enjoy being along for the ride. Omg aliens for real???? I can’t tell if you’re pulling my leg or not 🤣 I am hoping to direct myself around to a couple life nodes cause I think they could be very helpful with me being a bit squishy right now! Ohhhhhh okay a curse is recommended, I WAS interested in them right at the start (you probably don’t remember from like when I first started that I was curse curious), but I think knowing which one would be the best is helpful! I think I do have Flammability actually! I don’t think I read about that being a curse. I will read into them when I log on tomorrow. Stash Affinities sounds super interesting, gotta check that out too!!! That will be handy! I am only able to slowly build up my bank stash spaces at the moment, so it’s going to be very handy. A lot of people have recommended to ditch the totem, so I will keep it in mind to either get a better/more powerful one or ditch it. I am sure I will come across some more powerful spells. Maybe if I beef up my golem, that would be a good replacement… I like having a little minion and the totem really has filled that space. Food for thought! Thank you as always for the advice and I hope you didn’t mind the shout out at the start.

Just to expand on a couple items for Cass: 5) You'll see the terms "Curses", "Hexes", and "Marks". These are not exactly interchangeable. Hexes (normally) apply a debuff to all monsters in an area. Marks are a debuff that can only be applied to a single monster at a time. Both of them are Curses, although lots of people will refer to Hexes as Curses as before GGG made the distinction between the two (<checks the wiki>...jfc) 4 years ago there were just Curses which were all the current Hexes. By default, a monster can only have 1 Curse on it at a time, and until you get better ways of applying multiple curses on a target besides manually casting them (they are _slow_ to cast), it is not worth increasing that limit, so stick to just one (which should probably be Flammability). Like OP said though, don't need to spam it on every pack, just the tougher monsters. 6. There will be a couple mechanics you encounter in the back half of the game that come with their own stashes. They can have affinities set on them too _if you remember to do it_. This means you can Ctrl+Click an item from your inventory with your main stash open and it'll go straight to that other stash. Renaming and Recoloring tabs can only be done with Premium tabs. Besides those functions, the only other thing they enable is that Premium tabs can be indexed by the Trade API so you can list items for trade from them (regular tabs can still have item affinities assigned to them though). The 4 tabs that were in your stash when you first rolled into Lioneye's Watch are regular tabs, as are the "Extra Stash Tab" items in the store. Everything else is Premium.

@@CassKGaming It's not 'archer'. There's a couple of mobs with archer in name, but that's it. We have bow builds for every single class, but many of the best ranger builds never ever equip a bow.

@viljakainu1548 the archer archetype class then, lol, ranger. I don’t really know the other classes, so it was my best guesstimate! But I DO want to try that next cause I have that sweet unique bow that I am keen to see if it works nicely :) Either that or the rogue archetype class (in case it’s not called a rogue) :) I think I would like to try and keep ‘class archetype themed’ weapons though and see what I can do there!

@@CassKGaming Ah -- that's a misapprehension: you don't pick the type of armour based on what stats you have. You pick enough stats to wear the best pieces of the type of defence you're going for. You're in low-level zones so you don't get good defensive value drops for another 6 acts or so. DO keep picking up and IDing amulets, belts, rings, scepters and shields and any 4L hats, boots, and gloves (also, throw the non-upgrade items into a ditch, don't insult the NPC merchants by showing them what trash you schlep around :P ) wands are inferior to scepters for ignite builds, don't pick up wands. Or any weapons that aren't scepters. The reason the armour stats matter is: two-stat items are easier to colour and you need less of any single stat to equip them. You CAN get 4B1G1R on the best strength body armour, but it's going to be expensive. During the campaign, it's just superior in every way to use a so-so third support gem if you get a 4L item with 3 great socket colours and one bad. Save your chromes, the low tier mods that can drop in low-level zones mean that none of the pieces you find can be useful a little later. Armour and evasion are almost absolutely useless for an ignite witch during the campaign, you won't get enough of either to matter. The reason is that your total armour is compared to the size of the physical hit you take, and their relative size applies a coefficient to the phys damage reduction that armour does. So the effect of armour scales something like geometrical -- huge armour means you arent' taking damage from physical hits much at all, mediocre armour means you get one-shot but bigger physical hits but barrage of small hits is less dangerous and for characters that don't INVEST into armour, it does nothing, absolutely nothing, for you. Evasion is matched against the accuracy of the mob and it reduces the chance of successful hit with an attack (does nothing against spells). Without serious investment to evasion, you're going to go from 5% chance to evade an attack to 10% chance to evade an attack -- so it's useless unless you get lots.

@viljakainu1548 thank you so much for this explanation! I sometimes get hung up on the ‘why’ of things and this puts my mind at as much ease as possible (which is… still like a hive of bees, just slightly less buzzing 🤣). It makes sense!

​@@CassKGaming yw yw! PoE has a couple of different dx/dy curves. Some things are a fairly linear relation between investment, but usually you'll see a decreasing marginal benefit with these linear things, as you run out of cheap sources of the modifier/stat. Movespeed and cast speed belong to this group. 100 -> 150 movespeed makes the game tolerable, 500->550 movespeed isn't much of a change. If you build for hit damage, going from 1 cast/attack per second to 8 or 9 makes a huge difference, 10 to 17 costs too many builds too much and sub 150 ms cast time feels good for most people anyway. OTOH, going from 100->105 doesn't feel much different, either. Quicksilver flask is 40% in one place, btw. But with most things you'll see a hockey stick shape -- before reaching a critical point, your gameplay doesn't see much impact. Sometimes, there's a low-hanging fruit that costs you only 1 line on an item or a Keystone node or a mastery node in passive tree that gives huge benefits (the unique belts Mageblood and Headhunter are examples of this, as well as Eldritch Battery and Traitor keystones and the fire damage mastery that gives you flat life regen equal to your uncapped fire res -- that's how you get Righteous Fire running at lvl 17, btw). You'll see increasing marginal utility up to a very late point, and people like CaptainLance, Jousis (DPS measured in servers per minute), Eirikeiken and, say, Infractem or Ghazzy do builds that, due to adding multiplicative elements, fly off to the stratosphere when the investment gets silly. This is things like critical strikes, mana, minions, defences including max life and max energy shield, stat stacking, flasks, auras, ailments (Skitterbots give you a 15% shock but at a high alternative cost. Take a look at the elementalist ascendancy node that deals with shocks -- most elementalist witches are better served by using the mana reservation for something completely different) You'll need some defences so you don't die constantly once you get to maps. But having a random selection of defences is the same as having no defences. Some of those mechanics are a total noob trap -- without having enough of the building blocks, those modifiers/stats are almost worthless and you've sacrificed passive nodes, skill links, mana reservation, or lines on your items to get them. Examples would be: mana investment on an ignite build, skitterbots on an elementalist, critical strikes on a dot build, wand instead of sceptre on ignite build, dual wielding nodes instead of 1h + shield or staff on ignite builds (shield charge is the best movement skill in the game, you NEED it as an ignite build, you don't have attack or cast speed for any other movement skill apart from Frostblink, but you didn't like that one), anything minion-related on an ignite build, ignite chance on an ignite elementalist, spell damage on an ignite build, Holy Flame Totem on an ignite build, golem investment on an ignite build... There are no jack of all trades builds in PoE. You pick a few mechanics and min-max the everloving shit out of them because the late game is full of unfair bullshit.

@viljakainu1548 Skitterbots are retired in favour of my fire golem, cause he is a little badass! But yeah I DID notice some nodes I was heading for (in my prospective build idea) had sneaky cool nodes on the way. I didn’t put some points into minion damage (I kept feeling like I should but wasn’t sure if golems fell under ‘minions’ or were specific, like totems and I completely forgot to ‘search’, I was more interested in exploring the potential nodes, so I thought that I could put the points into better options). In terms of ‘defence’ I went more into extra health nodes in the concept. Idk, I will share it when I turn my laptop back on (Mr Cass is ill and I currently feel like I have snorted about 15L of seawater, so hoping he hasn’t made me ill too) in the morning. BUT that being said, I need to look more at my gems and spells and make a decision on exactly what I want :) I’m just waiting on seeing if something cooler pops up in act 5/6. We will see. I will have some different skills on the bar for the end of act 4 though. Just trying to find a mix that feels synchronous to how I like to play :)

😭 I’m using Wave and Armageddon Brand much more now that I have them, and my little fire golem friend. I think I acquit myself pretty well against Daresso (tomorrow) in terms of spells and moving about and using flasks. And I did remember to use my quicksilver flasks while running around :( I’m just not mashing them constantly, I don’t think I will ever get used to that concept :/ I will ID the items I pick up more often though. I should have been doing it for everything and not just items that I could be wearing. I suppose I don’t have to worry about saving the wisdom/portal scrolls now that I have plenty of scraps and whetstones I can trade for them. And hope that I do pick up something better that I can wear since I am seeing a lot more 4+ slot items.

@@CassKGaming You witches need to hear brutal truths sometimes ;) I keep ridiculing you for it in hopes you'll see how little saving the flask charges does for you when you're blasting packs with one WoC cast! But picking things up and IDing is a trap in this game :(

I know, I know, I am trying :( You have to admit I am using the flasks way more now though! And… I will try to resist picking up all of the everything 🤣 I am improving with that too though! I have just been picking up yellows and greys (for the chromatic orbs) and I have started to check out the gem sockets available on items and have EVEN dropped some items or not picked them up at all! The teasing reminds me that I can keep getting better at it all, but like I said, it’s like 25 years of behavioural changes I am trying to break 🤣 I am getting there, bit by bit with everyone’s help!

@@CassKGaming Humans have amazing potential for change -- you can learn the mechanics of a new game! :) On feeling like dropped items matter in this game: I feel for you, girl, I really wish they were worth a damn, and I still pick up too many rares, too. One thing you might want to experiment is: now that all hits ignite, you can unspec from alllll mana (take mana reservation efficiency wheel with sovereignty instead, ignite lasts 4 seconds so you're not going to be chaincasting), crit and chance to ignite and take more fire damage over time multi and generic dot multi (there's a juicy small dot multi wheel just next to elemental overload) What's that? Not enough regrets? Just goes to show that not enough currency drops in the campaign to make looting in acts 4+ worth your while. (Also, I really, really, REALLY recommend you path left from witch start picking int nodes, ignoring the spell damage nodes, spell damage does nothing for ignite but helps Righteous Fire, but you didn't want a walking simulator build then go left towards Mind over Matter, then to outer rim, go both clockwise and counterclockwise to get the big fire wheel on top side and the fire plus elemental wheels on top left and upper left side -- oh, Sovereignty wheel is in the neighbourhood? What luck!) And then you use either a fireball with multiple projectiles (lesser or greater) or wave of conviction plus frostblink plus quicksilver flask to do the following: 1. move towards a pack of mobs with your quicksilver flask ACTIVATED 2. at right distance from pack, cast your clearing spell ONE time 3. frostblink into the pack, the combined damage from the ignite and frostblink will kill many 4. keep running to the next zone -- a strict enough loot filter means you'll hear a sound only if something worth looking at dropped 5. and absolutely avoid the temptation to turn around and finish the stragglers, you're already overleveled so you don't need the xp :)

@viljakainu1548 hehe I know I can learn it properly. I wish I had started this before my brain decided to break and rewire itself in a funky way (I even have the MRIs to prove it, rofl). I have to use a lot of repetition and notes EVERYWHERE to learn new skills/memories, unfortunately the short term memory loss is a bitch, but I have methods to try and work with it! I even have a notepad on my phone of silly things my friends say, so I can pull it out and tease them about it later 🤣 But on a more serious note, I do struggle a lot with memory now and I appreciate you all for reminding me with the same things all the time, even though I know it probably gets just as frustrating for you as it does for me ❤️ But I am determined and I feel like it’s achievable with all of the help here and from Twitch (and yes, the tough love too!). I like your explanation of how you would play. It gives me an idea of what I would like to do (maybe not the same but you have explained a similar play style to what I like… not cleaning the stragglers will be tough though cause I am a completionist at heart- oh btw, full clear of the Library zone from act 3 done off stream today and an achievement for doing it AND SHIELD CHARGE gem!!! I was checking the vendors to find the darn thing and noticed an area I hadn’t explored, then I basically had ‘streamer/YT privilege’: which is whining about something not happening and then it happens almost immediately afterwards, by finding the NPC in THAT unexplored area!). I am not tooo far overlevelled anymore- not as much as I WAS, so I hope you see that as some progress :) And I was redoing my D4 skills today and may have clicked into the option to do a fresh PoE tree (no guides, just the points) and I may have looked it over and given myself a basic guide of what I would like to do. Now based on your advice here, I will likely need to change some stuff (I specced HARD left), but I will pop a screencap into the discord tomorrow if you’re a) interested and b) @ me to remind me 🤣 Also- I REALLY am trying to only pick up what I think I could use now. I am a sceptre girl all the way too, they are badass! I would ONLY pick up a wand if I was about to head to town and there was JUST enough space for it… so I could vendor it 🤣🤣🤣 Seriously though, I am making a more conscious effort to only pick up 4+ gem slot items that I could potentially use. Yes, I made more effort today cause you reminded me, but that’s the beauty of it… reminders make it habit and habit becomes ingrained in my brain better, so really, you’re helping form the new neural pathways!

Fire red- str red… makes sense 🤣 I know now to spread out my attributes more. I will focus more on that for my next playthrough (which will be tomorrow). I will have to find that skill tree planner, I don’t think winging it is really working so well. As long as I don’t look at any guides/builds and make my own, I don’t think it breaks the rules. It’s probably smarter now that I am getting into it a bit more!

@@CassKGaming If you're just wanting to allocate skill points better, you don't /need/ a planner for that, you just need to spend some time using the search bar and seeing where relevant nodes are (ex: "fire", "elemental", "over time", "maximum life", "reservation"), although a planner would make it easier to determine the shortest path to get to all the places you want to go. I am hesitant to point you to the main build planner tool because it pretty much requires looking at a guide as to how to use it properly, since it's very easy to do things like add buffs/debuffs your character can't actually obtain or create impossible to acquire/craft gear that will throw off all the numbers it gives you.

@whypick1_ hmmm okay. I will just spend a bit of time checking out the skills then, rather than planning. Those seem like good nodes to aim for!

@@CassKGaming Couple thoughts: 1. The devs have been asked quite a few times why they don't make the passive tree more welcoming to new players by having a fog of war or some such. This was ultimately shot down because a) they want to be upfront about the complexity of that part of the game and b) it allows players to plan out from the get-go where they might want to go. 2) I can't remember, did you do the Library quest in A3? If not, do so. If so, Siosa sells every gem (well, regular gem...there's 3 Exceptional gems that are drop only, Transfigured gems which you saw during the lab but didn't look into, and <spoiler> that is super endgame) in the game, including the ones not offered to your class as quest rewards/vendor offerings. The Kaom/Daresso quest is where the last batch of new gems are introduced, so you can see all the skill gems the game has to offer. There is a town NPC in A5 that makes this easier to do. 3) Looking at my WoC character, there's exactly one green skill gem (a defensive aura) and one support gem (it is not fire-specific) that I used. And honestly, I can only see maybe one other green support gem you might want to use. Then it's about a 50/50 mix of blue and red gems.

@@CassKGaming Stupid YT ate my last comment, but did you do the Library quest in A3? Because the quest giver for that is _also_ a gem vendor, and he has _all_ of the gems (minus 3 drop only ones, Transfigured and <super endgame spoiler>) in the game. Kaom/Daresso quest is where the last batch of gems gets introduced, so you should be able to see everything now.

Yeah I thought my probability would be higher, but it’s okay. I am sure I will pick up some other gloves that are better soon enough. But yeah, now I know not to be so cavalier with things like that. I will make more of an effort to be more careful going forward, since I want to get as far as possible in the game!

Check with every vendor you encounter. More sockets = better

@RedAces120 I have picked up some 5+ slot items (unfortunately not great ones), but I think it’s a good sign for things to come! But I will double check with vendors too, gear is one thing I haven’t been looking at from them.

@RedAces120 okay so I DO have a question about that, if you don’t mind indulging me a little! I picked up some gear that were 4-5 slots and chat told me some were worth swapping and others weren’t worth it even with more gem slots. Would it be ‘more’ the case of ‘more gem slots are better if they are the right colour’ opposed to just having more gem slots in general? Cause most of the 4-5 slot items I picked up were red/green and I am am using mostly blues right now. I know I can reroll (but I wasn’t successful- even though that may play out well in the long run cause I think I will be using some red and green gems in the future- in getting more blue slots, which most of my used gems are at the moment), but is that always worth trying? Just trying to get a gauge on when I should try to change colours/when it’s not worth it :) The calculator for this would break the series rules, haha, so your opinion on when you would do it for yourself would be a good guide to me!

@@CassKGaming Not the person you tagged but I got notified about this reply anyway, so: First off, "sockets". It's all connected, but ultimately it's what defenses you want to use that dictates what gear pieces you go with, because any problems where it might be "off-type" can be solved with enough currency. For example, the top STR gloves would require *1300* Chromes to get 4B. However, there's a trick where you use the crafting bench to set the 3 colors then alternate between 4 sockets and 3 sockets until you get the 4th color you want. Early on though, when you don't have the currency to do this trick, it's primarily going to be "ooh, this item is 4L and the base type means I should only need to toss a few Chromes to get the right colors, let me throw an Essence or an Orb of Alchemy at this then add a crafted mod on it and call it a day" or "hmm, my gloves suck, as soon as I find the highest base for my level I'm going to use one of these otherwise useless Orbs of Binding on them and see what I get".

That sounds brilliant. I honestly want to do both 🤦🏻‍♀️ I know that’s probably not the right way to look at it/play, but I will either figure it out or completely mess it up, per my usual routine 🤣

​@@CassKGaming Well, the beauty of ignite is, once you decide to go with a fire spell and ignites, is that your support links don't change that much. You'll always, always, use burning damage support, deadly ailments, ignite proliferate (until you can find another way to proliferate ignites) and then efficacy, maybe infused channelling, maybe controlled destruction... if clearing with fireball, greater multiple projectiles and a source of chain or fork, ... And, you will absolutely want another spell that hits and ignites that is supported by combustion. Combustion support has bad damage, but the inc fire damage taken on combustion is great. So 1 skill that does the damage, and another to inflict combustion FOR BOSSES. For bosses only! You don't want to use two different skills for clear. Because zero-click per monster pack is best, 1-click is next best, using two skills is just unnecessary. So level Flameblast, fireball, armageddon brand, wave of conviction, incinerate, scorching ray, flame surge and so on and so forth, and test them with different supports. You can level gems in your weapon swap weapons.

That’s probably a good idea. I need about 100 post it notes for what I need to do when I get into a new area, and toggling the auras on is one of them. I have them on the separate bar, so I can’t accidentally toggle them off anymore though, luckily!

I’m working on using the flasks more. And I went back to complete the labyrinth trials! I ended up cutting out some of the exploring and stuff or else the video would have been SO much longer 🤣 I probably have problems with both, but what can I say, I am a work in progress!

I am DEFINITELY hyper focused on mana res now! And that’s super interesting that you are saying minions/traps aren’t passive playing! Cause I feel the best when I am playing an active play style. So that is something I will have to consider then! I DO like having a couple of minions/totems but still having active attack skills. I would have to say that my main issue with minion/trap builds is NOT having those active attacks. BUT if I could mix the two… so my flame totem and golem, then a couple of active attacks, that would be my dream build! So I am hoping to get advice from both sides of the spectrum and build something that suits that play style (assuming I have the gem slots) 🤣

@@CassKGaming well, it actually is kinda hard to make that style work, because both totems and minions (which are different for many purposes) have different skill nodes and item mods that scale their power, which are also different from elemental power (which is only for self-cast spells, like incinerate and wave of conviction), so using all of those means you'll be doing like less than 50% of potential damage on all of them.... but don't let that stop you, there are no rules and you can always change anything later with enough orbs of regret!!!! (oh I just remembered that the most popular minions on POE are the SRS, Summon Raging Spirits, they are temporary and require you to dodge stuff and stop to cast them, it's a REALLY active playstyle)

@pedroupaiva oh well THAT is super interesting (I am sure that’s much later game but the idea is already brewing!). I will probably choose between totem and minion… eventually. But I definitely won’t let ‘typical build’ styles stop me from trying what I feel is most enjoyable now! I am getting a lot of advice (from people who like totally different play styles), so I’m trying to listen to everyone, while staying true to what I know I enjoy. I really hope I can make something that is somewhat endgame viable by doing this! First goal is finishing the campaign and stretch goal is max level/end game. So I say roll the dice, hope I get 20s and let’s see what a guide free build can accomplish!

@@CassKGaming I even say you'll have to eliminate the totem to give all focus to your self-cast spells! But I believe you can do it, and it's been really nice watching you grow on this journey and having fun! (one more thing I forgot: getting to lvl 100 is not that easy.... I never got it, people usually pay for 5-way carries to get to lvl 100, but that's kinda expensive.... so don't get sad if you don't get there now!)

Aha I see (re the sceptre). I definitely need to plan ahead on what I need. I think I was just hoping for the best without considering the gems 🤦🏻‍♀️ But I know I need to think about that now! I am also reconsidering half of my gems cause of moving myself to the left side of the skill tree idea, so I am not totally sure what I want to do now :/ I will work with what I have for now but keep this all in mind for the future acts. I am sure I will get better gear in act 5 and will be more aware of the colour rolls based on the items! Omg please don’t give me too much crap for my next vid where I am saying ‘eh I have heaps of chromatic orbs and the colours will be good eventually’ 🤣

Ahaha okay, I see what you’re saying then! I might replace Merry and Pippin with Mini-Balrog for now (tiny fire golem). But I am not planning on doing any variety of minion build cause I don’t like them. I like a minion as a ‘bonus’ rather than a spec, so I think they will all be replaced eventually. I don’t want to reserve even more mana. Omg so much to consider when I start up the end of act 4!

I’m not 100% sure what it was, but it was definitely a PoE build, falconer could be bs, but there was a pet build. Orrrrrr my memory loss had fully betrayed me!

Ahhh that’s good to know!!! So I can basically use what I have now cause as I progress to Act 5, whatever I get will be better!!! It’s awesome to know I can use rather than hoard it… like a dragon… like a firey, firey dragon!

Aha well that’s good to know that it’s not a benefit to being over 100%! Some games let you go crazy 🤣 I would definitely like to keep the golem, he is a little baller so far! But if he has diminishing returns later I will just hang onto him until I can supersede him with something else. Honestly I am working on the principle that I am working with gems (I THINK) are good, till I find something better. And if you all tell me there is something better I will aim for that instead. I definitely don’t ’need’ the golem, I just like him for now :) I don’t have an intent on speccing into golem/minion, cause I am not a fan of that build type (I did a minion build in D4 and having minions do all of my damage was a huge yawn, I want to PLAY and not set my minions to do everything- aka I DO NOT want an afk build). I hope that makes some sense :) Definitely keep writing as you see things. I do the same (it’s more to do with short term memory loss though), but imo it’s helpful.

I will have to look at that. I have a little fire golem now, so I probably don’t need my Skitterbots now, so I should have a bit more mana available. But I definitely need more efficiency, which I will look into when I stream the last part of act4 :)

Well, I have been known to play a little piano and violin… so I am sure that on my good fine motor function days, I will be playing much better! Good days and bad days unfortunately, the tremor in my left hand is becoming a more constant companion. But I will do my best! Trying to do some crochet every day to help with it. The support from the community keeps me going ❤️

@viljakainu1548 hehehehe I can try but promise nothing! Funnily enough, my current D4 build has a heavy emphasis on not getting hit for one of my item abilities to proc, so it’s not outside of the realm of possibility in the future!
