Nice dude! the chanterelles you are finding seem more chunky than the ones we find in Scotland. I reckon the yellow/orange fungus attacking the chanterelle is a type of hypomyces

3:20 Wait... What happened to the mushroom patch/area? Deforestation or 🤔?

I live in Washington State and we unfortunately just had like 80% of my childhood patches logged. We had a really good year in 1 spot just before the yearly droughts hit but since then, almost every spot has struggled to produce just a handful of morels, and you can't even recognize the area :( Plus I have randomly become allergic to morels after eating them for 20 years so that sucks... Always love watching your videos and I look forward to the next handful of videos! Wouldn't mind a berry picking series. Foraged some mountain huckleberries for the first time this year and I don't really know what to look for in terms of berries

6:14 the animal that was digging here was a bear. If you look at the stump behind the mushrooms you see where the bear was looking for ants in the stump.

Glad you're back, I had a great season too with Morels from the NWT and chants from LaRonge.

this has been such GOOD DAY! so excited for your content. Here in the lower mainland it was also the best berry season in years, I have a salmonberry video up and a slideshow of red hucks, I just pulled some red hucks from freezer and made jam yesterday lol. And am still picking chanterelles this week, I picked over 250 lbs here in Mission. Not to mention such a good coho salmon season. It was the year I had really hoped for and more. Oh Ya also bonkers for porcini at higher elevations, just covered the ground, I have a slide show of some of those as well. Cheers to all who shop the mossy isles~

I live in southwest Washington state. This year is a banner year for Fungi. I love the smell of a bucket of yellows, But the whites are meatier and have, in my opinion, a superior flavor! I've been picking for personal use for about 40 years. You have some of the best Shrooming videos on Utube. I love your content!
