Great Video. Now that I am retired I can finally afford some Morel mushrooms. Do you have a retail outlet, or where I could buy and approximate price. Since they are dried I expect the cost to be up there, unless it is sold by volume I am in the Lower Mainland area of BC Thanks.

Went wild harvesting when I was in college back in the ‘70’s. Supposedly if you firmly grasp the tip, you can hold it comfortably. I think this is a myth! No matter how firmly if held the tip, it stung! But tasted great with butter, salt and garlic! Served with steak!

Are there any Matsutaki on the East Coast? Is pine mushroom the same as Matsutaki? It's a hard job but a good way you live. And mushrooms get to people that really appreciate them but could never get any themselves. I read that mushrooms have vitamin D while most other food doesn't.

I harvest 50lbs of Chaga per year (in Northeastern Ontario). Yellow birch trees have much larger pieces than white birch.
