    Most of the mushrooms you see us pick and dry can be bought and ordered via the link in the description of each video.
    These sales help us keep the channel up and running.
    Top quality, sustainability and ethically harvested, professionally dried.
    Your subscriptions, likes and shares help the channel a lot..
    Thank you for that.
    Beauty eh!

      Marketing the Journey is worth the value of the mushrooms wait until you need to pay the pickers for their acting LOL Very cool Hunter Gathering REAL reality gathering. If i was your age i would be out there , when i was yur age then a 8' solid lead line cast net and jumbo shrimp at 10lb a throw was what i hunted on the Louisiana bayous. Keep getting it done very cool.

      The burnt over fire hardened little spruce trees were a pain but the morels were carrying us on

      Ya Johnny, the hills are ok empty but when the baskets are full and the packboards loaded its grit it out man.
      My ankles, knees, back, neck are always hurting... I just get stubborn, cuss and grind it out. Mostly I had to do camp this year but managed to get in picks.

    Here in Belarus we harvest black morels near swamps😊

      We often harvest them in swamps here as well but they decided to grow on that hill that time. It gave us a break from the mosquitoes for once. Cheers

    Just found you guys today. I was watching a harvest in ‘22. I’m interested in your dehydrator and how you power it. I’d like to build an outdoor dehydrator for my yard. Any tips? Those morels make me think of childhood and hunt with my grandpa. I haven’t had a morel in years but I sure did love them then!

      We plan to do a more in-depth video on how we dry mushrooms eventually but we do have a vid on building a small box dryer in the meantime.
      ua-cam.com/video/jUjg5EK1HZE/v-deo.html
      We dry in two stages.
      Stage 1: High movement dry air that isn't too hot.
      Stage 2: Heat flash at around 150F to finish.
      If you don't have a chance to get out picking for yourself, there's morels available on our online shop. We will have a sale coming up later this month. Cheers

    How will they have grown in four days

    • @randym8963
      @randym8963 5 місяців тому +1

      It depends bud, sometimes they never grow more. Sometimes, if it's warm and not windy, it only takes 1 day.
      On the average it takes about 3 to 4 days.

    you guys ever find deer or elk sheds? Or skulls in general

    • @northernwildharvest
      @northernwildharvest  5 місяців тому

      Yes deer, elk, moose, caribou. Sometimes the burn will expose old ones from under the moss.

    • @randym8963
      @randym8963 5 місяців тому +1

      When you know the migration routes, and winter yarding areas you can find many sheds.

      That's the issue for us because we harvest commercialy so we have to do it this way. We just don't have time to create this level of edited content in the field. We also decided to be 100% honest with our subscribers. We have discussed doing an odd live in season if that's of interest.
