Oh yeah. Trust me when i say youre not the only one who cried at this trailer. Its so good, i still sometimes tear up when i hear "Should be lose our way, tire of all this pain, we won't be afraid to forge ahead." This expansion holds a special place in a lot of people's hearts, mine included. It stands as being one of the big things that kept me from completely giving up on myself.

I cheesed this battle by casting daylight on Cazador's staff and it triggered his sunlight sensitivity kinda permanently--- since he can't run from it--- he's holding it.

First time i realize. Didnt Cazador turned him 200 years ago? And 170 years ago Cazador turned Sebastian, one of Astarions firsts? What happends in these 30 years? Painful training?

After more than 800 hours, I'm on my 4th run. This time, I let her kill. It was so very hard... Felt so WRONG! Shadowheart became a Dark Justiciar. On my 5th run, the Nightsong will survive for sure 🙂

An interesting thing I noted about the song titles for Alexandria and The Queen Eternal. If you link them up the titles form "A trail unending, paved in solitude, and paved with resolve" marking both Sphene's journey and Wuk Lamat's. Paved in Solitude is a track I could listen too for hours.

It's honestly difficult for me to fathom that anyone liked the conclusion of 7.0, but I'm glad for more enjoyment in the world even if it makes absolutely no sense to me.

This could be spoilers for those who haven't gotten to this part. If I remember correctly the outcome of this cutscene is dependent upon the choices you made with shadowheart. If you chose to be a good character she spares the nightsong, if you chose to be evil, she kills her. Honestly I like the path of saving her more. The cutscene is so good and the hymn is so nice. I get goose bumps everytime I watch this.

My shadowheart was op and i had to fight her, It was the hardest fight in the game, she had effectively 130 hp, 24 AC , a lot of potions and full spell slots basically. She 1 vs 3 and almost won, she was by far my most optimized character...i had to reload that..

I have only ever seen Ascended Astarion on UA-cam, but this here, this is why he will always remain a Spawn. It shatters me that he won't be able to enjoy the sun on his skin again, but it's a small price to pay. It helps that 99% of the time that I'm romanced with Astarion I am also a Dark Urge resisting Bhaal. Two characters who have been controlled by Dark Masters, and while Durge was adored, it was a sick adoration. Both fighting demons that are hunting and controlling them, only to break free of that control and find one another. I don't understand the hate that Astarion gets, the people that despise him for his nature, but excuse people like Minthara.. I adore all the Baldur's Gate characters, but Astarion and Dark Urge have a very special place in my heart.

In the original launch of Destiny 1 way back in 2014 you could find dead ghosts scattered around the various exploration zones and strikes. If you collected them it would unlock a "grimoire card" which you could go to Bungie's website and read. The evolution of this system is the lore books in D2, since the lore was not originally in the game and had to be accessed externally (this is the real reason the big lore youtubers got popular. They were making something inaccessible more accessible for the average player). One such dead ghost unlocked the card Ghost Fragment: Vex the text of which follows: ESI: Maya, I need your help. I don't know how to fix this. SUNDARESH: What is it? Chioma. Sit. Tell me. ESI: I've figured out what's happening inside the specimen. SUNDARESH: Twelve? The operational Vex platform? That's incredible! You must know what this means - ah, so. It's not good, or you'd be on my side of the desk. And it's not urgent, or you'd already have evacuated the site. Which means... ESI: I have a working interface with the specimen's internal environment. I can see what it's thinking. SUNDARESH: In metaphorical terms, of course. The cognitive architectures are so - ESI: No. I don't need any kind of epistemology bridge. SUNDARESH: Are you telling me it's human? A human merkwelt? Human qualia? Over the years this story of Ishatar Collective researchers has evolved through various lore updates. The gist of it is this: While researching the newly discovered Vex ruins on Venus, a group of scientists from the Ishtar Collective captured and experimented on a Vex unit. They found that it was perfectly simulating 227 exact duplicates of the researchers themselves experimenting on it within its own internal systems. The researchers came to the conclusion that since the simulation was perfect in every way to the real thing there was a 1 in 227 chance that they are in the prime reality and therefore it is overwhelmingly statistically likely that they themselves are being simulated by the Vex. After making contact with the simulated versions of themselves the researchers determined to explore and chart the Vex gate system, communicating with each other in the process. Since the Vex operate outside of normal time continuity they managed to make contact with a warlock called Praedyth who was lost in the Vault of Glass and was a member of Kabr The Legionless' original fireteam (the same Kabr whose Light created the Aegis relic that we used to kill the Templar in VoG). Lightfall and Echoes are sort of the culmination of that story but it stretches back literally to the very beginning of the game. Also, based on some other interactions with Maya over the years it's likely that in the original narrative draft for Destiny she was meant to be the Exo Stranger we encountered in D1. It was changed to Elsie Bray during the Warmind expansion in year 2 of D2 which was not made by Bungie directly, but one of Activision's subsidiary studios High Moon and apparently the Bungie narrative team was not happy about the reveal.

The first time I did Excision, before everyone went to the room with the statues, I had actually died, so I wasn't ported to that room. IT WAS JUST ME AND THE WITNESS. I shouted "I'M RIGHT HERE! COME GET ME!!" God, that mission is absolutely insane, it's like Destiny's version of Avengers Endgame.

Speedo or Smirk? YES

You had to experience it. Especially as a D1 player. You ended D1 as an all powerful space wizard to be reduced to nothing. Such a great experience.

God I wish they didn’t show us solution nine during the fan fest. Would’ve made the twist SO much more impactful. It was honestly a spoiler and am not sure why the devs did it.

For the sake of honouring one of if not the best characters in Destiny I would love if they brought back the old warmind tech stuff back as exotic armours for each class. Valkyrie, warmind cells and something else for the remaining class. All with enhanced functionality. Maybe synergy with the ikelos and seventh seraph weapons?

That part when Astarion thanks you for preventing him from becoming corrupt and believed in him and everything made me ugly cry when I first saw it. He’s such a great character, and his voice actor did an incredible job.

When I did that dungeon I remember people in the chat talking about that sentence,and I was a bit lost at the moment since the voices on my game are not in English,English illberd doesn't seem like a real danger,whilst I remember his French voice conveying it's wrath really good

you wanna know what's crazy to think about after going through the *absolute masterpiece* that was The Final Shape campaign, the raid, post campaign story stuff, and Excision mission? where the community's morale was in the year leading up to this DLCs release. In the year leading up to TFS, our expectations were in the gutter. after the massive flop that was Lightfall, the overall community had almost no confidence that bungie could stick the landing with the Light and Darkness saga. That they could release a great character driven story and tie up enough loose ends to bring a satisfying end to the last decade of this game. But by god they did it, the mad lads and lasses managed to pull the landing gear out of their asses and land this thing while pulling a sick 360-no-scope drift up to the gate. Truly Bravo bungie.
