1:40:41 Fun fact, this shot is one of the original promotional art for D1 waaaaay back in 2013. Seeing finally in-game was freaking mind-blowing for us who've been playing since day 1.
In a time of great prosperity, a tyrant king sent his son to live among the people and learn their ways. He did so for many years, until a great calamity befell the kingdom. In the aftermath, the tyrant's son was changed. The tyrant's son turned away from his father, and became a warrior. The tyrant chased his son across fields and mountains and oceans. He said,: "If I can't have my son, then no one shall. " In the end, the tyrant used his son's love of the people against him. He promised him a miraculous technology that could rebuild the kingdom. When his son came to claim it, he unleashed a plague upon him. His son was destroyed. And the tyrant looked upon his tyranny and wept.
I like Byf's interpretation of what happened in last cutscene (which probably is true) but the Traveler didn't leave because Rasputin sacrificed himself. "Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice and sacrifice leads to death."
WE IN THE HOME STRETCH BABY But this is genuinely one of Destiny's story peaks, at least story wise. What a FINALE. I especially love that we see Eramis finally reach the point where she can truly exact her revenge on the Traveler and she looks apprehensive...almost as if she was hoping we would storm in and stop her one last time so she could be free from her guilt and not under the wrath of the Witness.
The Sol Divisive are very unique among the Vex. They serve the Witness and even have conflicted with the other Vex Collectives who appear to fear them. Within the Ares Spire was Soteria, an artificial intelligence created by the Ishtar Collective during the Golden Age using Vex technology. She was imprisoned within the Spire by Clovis after she attempted to launch colony ships due to detecting the Black Fleet.
The thing about Eramis being a mother is about her and her mate, Athrys(also a female BTW), with whom she had several hatchlings that they cared for back in Riis before The Whirlwind came and destroyed their homeworld. After that, they became separated and after some time, Eramis lost all track of her. Eido's real parents are unknown, but she's got Misraaks as her adoptive father, so she doesn't really care.
1:12:18 we already know the question. This is going to sound really weird, but the question was basically - What is the final shape of the universe? The last thing that will exist before the end of time’s progression? The last position on the cosmic chessboard before the game ends? The vex are the answer. And yes, that question is where the term “The Final Shape” comes from. Before the dlc comes out, you really need to read the lore book called “Unveiling”. You can find it on Ishtar Collective. The names of every song on the Final Shape soundtrack got revealed yesterday and a few of the names in there reference Unveiling - specifically, a concept from it called “The First Knife”.
It feels like when the Witness is killed and we win, we will get a reveal similar to at the end of Witch Queen where we saw the Witness for the first time we kill see the Winnower the true darkness and it may end at that. As it would be impressed by how we defeated a literal god of gods.
1:12:37 Speaking about the question of the Garden. In Shadowkeep we got a lore book called Unveiling from the Witness. It consists of, what we believe to be, a parabole for the creation of the Universe. Summing it up, in a Garden(maybe the Black Garden) before time lived a Gardener(Light) and a Winnower(Darkness) and they played a game of flowers, but the Gardener grew tired for a single pattern always surpassed the rest, stomping creativity, so it decided to insert itself in the game, and the Winnower followed. This game is the universe, and it's pretty agreed upon that the pattern that stomped on all others are the Vex
Terra, besides my wife and I you are one of the only people I have seen weep openly at some of the saddest and most beautiful moments of these stories and I love seeing you feel these things so deeply. You have my like every time, sir. Keep doing what you're doing. And my wife and I will see you at the Final Shape. Every Guardian, together.
Fun thing that people caught in the final cutscene, if someone hasn't said this yet: The rotated camera shot with the Traveler over earth is the Destiny 2 logo/promotional image.
47:50 It's actually worse than that. The Scorn created by Uldren from Riven's wish magic are sentient and sapient. The Scorn created by the Witness using the Darkness are nothing but hollow shells only capable of taking orders. This is a form of punishment by the Witness for failing to secure Nezarec's remains during Season of the Plunder. Core members of Eramis' family who she knew are being resurrected as living weapons to fight for the Witness over and over and over until the Final Shape is achieved.
Seeing the end Rasputin where his lines of code that we’ve always associated to him fade away really hurt for being a major character and my personal favorite behind saint. Hearing him call us his seraph and that humanity no longer needs a war god we are indeed humanity’s last line of defense.I personally believe this may yet not be the end of Rasputin after all Devotion inspires Bravery, Bravery Inspires Sacrifice, Sacrifice leads to Death may the Warmind rise again
Hoo boy this season definitely hurt, man. It was also such a powerful moment for me personally because it was a time in my life that I was also being forced to let go of someone and somethings in my life. So I was relating so hard to Ana. In a weird way having a character go through something very similar to me at the same moment in life made it a bit easier. Definitely an almost ethereal moment of uncertainty that I can’t quite explain with this finale. Very incredible atmosphere.
It's one of the most comforting feelings to know any way you may feel or hurt, someone out there can relate to your experience. Video game characters or otherwise, and its why I love storytelling in an immersive environment like gaming. You relate THAT MUCH MORE to the characters you've been spending a lot of time with.
Mara's "a mother" line does refer to Eramis, but probably not to Eido as her daughter. Eramis has a wife named Athrys and hatchlings from before the Whirlwind. We don't know when exactly, but after the Whirlwind and before Beyond Light, she sent her family off to another star system for safety. I'll add more about them after you have finished more of the series.
Definitely one of the most emotional seasons, it almost made me cry in all honesty. I won’t spoil the finale of this season but I will warn you to have a tissue box on hand.
Her father is Clovis Bray II, and he’s long gone. Her grandfather is who you’re thinking of. Not even that, it’s a copy of Clovis. Of all his worst aspects.
11:19 I often think about how Osiris' dinner with Saint must have gone after this conversation with Clovis AI. Osiris isn't one to let such slights go. Osiris: He's insufferable, Saint! Me, the greatest scholar of the city age, and he called me cute. Cute! Saint: But... you ARE cute, Osiris? Osiris: Perhaps, ah but he meant it disparagingly! Saint: *[pumps shotgun]*
I have to say, I immensely enjoy your videos. Its so refreshing to see someone, a New Light even, be able to appreciate the story of Destiny for what it is truly worth and not listen to the overwhelming pile of negative critique/bashing (some things are justified and others are just bs). So I say to you: Thank you for these most enjoyble reactions!
You'll never catch me covering content that I don't enjoy, be it Destiny or otherwise! I also feel like negativity is useless if it isn't constructive, so even if I don't like something I'll typically look for what was good or enjoyable within it! 😄
I want to remind you of the Guardian tenets: Devotion inspires Bravery Bravery inspires Sacrifice And Sacrifice leads to Death. It's entirely possible that Rasputin's sacrifice is what kept the Traveler from running away. And it's entirely possible he could be risen as a guardian.
Haven’t watched it yet but this is my favorite seasonal story so far. It’s just incredible man… the build up to Lightfall was perfect. I’m very curious though how you’ll feel about LF. It’s definitely quite the hot topic of a dlc…
As a Canadian.... who's headcanon is that my titan.. is an incognito surviving warlord biding his time to do war crimey things as payback for what saladin and the iron lords did...... I approve
Seraph was one the most emotional seasons i played. Rasputin was such a great redemption arc character. i kinda hope theres a piece of him left or a way Ana to rebuild him, or an analog of him
Oh, yeah, considering your favoritism with Rasputin, I imagine this season tore you up… Also, the dungeon from this season has hidden voice logs left by Eramis. You should look them up.
I love your reactions youre a very attentive and passionate person. I loved this season and the redemption of Rasputin. The Dark Future lore paints a very different outcome. The only reason we avoided it was because the guardians, the people and the coalition stuck together and cooperated. The music at the end cutscene made me burst into tears. I’m a sucker for music.
I posted this comment on your Season of Plunder comments for context on Eramis being a mother, so I'll post it here because Mara Sov prompted the question So some context that isn't explained but it is in lore. Eramis is actually a mother. She was the lover of Athrys, the one behind the namesake hunter exotic Athrys' Embrace released in Beyond Light (the lore tab is a really beautiful lullaby). Both had many hatchlings during moments before the Whirlwind on Riis, after which they began sailing the cosmos fleeing the Darkness; Eramis chose to part ways with Athrys and their hatchlings in order to give her family a fighting chance by giving them a majority stake in the ether supply they had all the while fighting for their liberation and solace. Eramis' goal in making Riis Reborn on Europa was her ideal, a new home for all the Fallen and Eliksni (the differentiation being the diasporic Eliksni outside of Sol vs the combatitive raiders we know in Sol). The reason why Eramis is so compelling is that she actually IS in the right, but is meaning to reach the ends with the most corrupted of means. When she formed the House Salvation banner, she was truly trying to rebuild a new home under Darkness because the Light of the Traveler did betray them. In every regard, she is right for feeling the way she does. Everything she does is in service of a family she can never see in hopes that one day she will be able to lay down the sword and return to their embrace. So when given the opportunity to continue the fight, rather than question the means and ends of the Witness, she will take any opportunity to see that her family will survive the coming Final Shape for she knows not where her family lies in the vast cosmos and would rather gamble with the fact that the Witness would incorporate the Eliksni into the world it seeks to create rather than let the Witness snuff the Eliksni out.
The Vex that follow the Witness were the final bosses of vanilla Destiny 1. Basically they mathematically decided that the best thing to do with the voice in the darkness is to worship it for power. Their lore will be expanded on, which was to the surprise of the whole community
Seraph was an epic climax to the year of WQ. The armor and guns were fantastic too. That final cinematic of the traveler leaving sent shockwaves, and when it ended we landed in the tower to see the traveler gone - it was a fucking surreal experience. The season also debuted a secret mission "Seraph Shield" that rewards Revision Zero, an exotic pulse rifle designed by Mercules, a D2 player who got hired by Bungie after his years of analysis and deep dives into Destiny. Truly one of the most unforgettable seasons we ever had.
If you're curious, the solo vocalist you hear in the last major cutscenes' music is Laura Intravia; who's sung on almost every Destiny soundtrack in some way, shape, or form since Taken King.
During season of the risen, Ana "spoke" with caiatl's psion and it helped her connect with Rasputin in his "mind" and she saw a spear and I think a rose withering
Devotion inspires bravery. Bravery inspires sacrifice. And sacrifice... In the end, Rasputin proved that he truly was a Guardian of humanity, above all else. Rest in peace, Red. The rest of us will carry on your burden from here
Best season ever for me. A beautiful cinematci finale, good story beats, a lot of background story about rasputin and the bray family, good content and good weapons, This season was PEAK, and infact I think it was the biggest season in terms of number of players on all the platforms,
If I remember right, Subminds are kinda like Felwinter. They’re little pieces of Rasputin’s code he’s split off from the main “self”, each with their own minds to allow “The Warmind” to Multitask more effectively.
I've been waiting for your watch of Seraph! I'm so excited to see you finish this out until The Final Shape! 3 MORE WEEKS! ps. I've been watching your videos over and over again for like 2 weeks now, I love your reactions.
Byf had a beautiful theory that the Traveler stayed because it noticed Rasputin's sacrifice. Sacrifice being one of the three things the Light shines bright on. Devotion, Bravery, Sacrifice. Rasputin's sacrifice inspiring the Traveler to stop running and stay
This is more of a head cannon for me as we don’t know the travellers intention but I always believed that it had no intention of leaving instead moving away from the city so that if it got shot down it would cause minimal damage and maybe face the witness head on cuz like I know the witness says it has no where to run but if it was so scared to run then it would surely still try.
Seraph is the season that made me come back to Destiny 2 full-time. It had fun, intrigue and a sense of urgency towards figuring out how to save and safeguard Rasputin from Xivu and Aramis.
I felt so bad watching your destiny journey and seeing you enjoy our buddy and love him like I did and knowing this was coming hurt. I still cried again seeing that scene too, it still hurts. I loved this season so hard with all the progress we made only to have them turn it around like that. I remember screaming no with the controller in my hand not believing they would do that. It's still one of the best seasons I've played but I am still so upset from this one. So sorry you had to get broken like the rest of us.
I'M GLAD SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT. I really love his voice acting. It's done so well it borders on making me like him but he is just so god awful I can't. 😅
1:39:35 I was so hopeful that she'd realize the error of her ways and defy the Witness right there. She says her line of "For Riis" as she initiates the self-destruct on the Warsats before Rasputin gets unplugged. That realization that the Whirlwind only happened because the Witness pursued the Traveler, and it causes her to surrender the reins to Misraaks and Eido in order to guide their people back to prosperity under the Great Machine. Plus, it would've been an awesome twist to the season. I sincerely hope she's got a great finale to her arc, because I feel like the end of this season would've been a perfect opportunity for her character. [Non-canonical addition] I did some writing during this season for one of my characters, whose backstory was heavily tied-in with the Iron Lords and by extension, Rasputin. This season was a real turning point for how I've written that character, as he went from wanting revenge against Rasputin, to respecting and mourning him due to his sacrifice. His last words to the empty frame of Rasputin were: "Fitting that Clovis made you to replace the Traveler, 'cause you were a Great Machine, Red."
48:10 Eramis hates it. Just like risen guardians, or even less so, they do not have their memories and are enslaved by Xivu to do the Witness bidding. They do not recognize her and it pains her to see her comrades bodies forced to serve while having their sentience stripped away. That's why she sounds downtrodden/defeated.
The fact that Rasputin was basically anas son make the scene hurt more, she raised him to be better than what he was made for, and she had to kill him to save humanity
the problem even with using defensive tactics against xivu is that she is not a god of death or slaughter, but the mere act of war of fighting even if its to defend empowerrs her. using the warsats to freeze them and as you put it build a wall of frozen hive is still an act of war, you are still fighting.
Oohh, so it's not the death that's required for her to feed her worm, like was implied in this season? Just simply the act of being at war with her is enough, eh? 😩
@@terabellum one of the details that my favorite is as the traveler "leaves" it stops just in orbit, even before the warsays are deployed. A common theory is that It did that so if we fail, the last city wouldn't be in the line of fire
Osiris defending Saint made me think about something from Lightfall’s year. Don’t know if you’ve seen Season of the Witch yet but there is a lore tab with Saint and Savathun. I won’t spoil it if you haven’t seen/heard/read it yet, depending on where you see it but man…..It’s an awesome yet brutal lore beat for Saint. I’m sure some other Guardians know what I’m talking about.
Oh boy here we go, I had a feeling you'd "love hate" Seraph. So much good stuff in here and its the peak of pretty much everything the story has been building up to. With the Witness truly arriving, the traveler moving, and tensions and character drama at a peak, and god that final cutscene. The entire year of witch queen is genuinely peak Destiny, its unfortunate Lightfall is a step back in terms of quality, feels like we pumped the breaks hard. But theres still a lot of good lore in there, and the seasons have some REALLY big moments that really sharpen the story and set the stage for final shape, and hype is at a high right now. Cant wait to see you fully catch up and be ready to dive into final shape. Out of curiosity do you plan to play the Lightfall seasons or just watch them for the sake of time? I mean we are only 2 weeks out as wild as that is, would also be cool to see you maybe check out the final shape trailers after all this is said and done, unless you wanna go in totally blind
This was my favorite season in D2. I wish Bungie would make Destiny 0 where instead of Guardians we play Seraphs in the Golden Age. We could be agents of different Warminds, sometimes working together, sometimes competing against eachother. Instead of Light/Darkness powers we could wield Siva tech-based powers.
I figure a player's Guardian likely died during the Collapse or in the lead up to it, but I'd be curious to see *how* exactly those events would've played out.
So Xivu and Eramis are working together but because Eramis failed to gather the relics in the season of plunder, the witness told Xivu to make some of Eramis’ followers into wrathborn. Hope this helps!
Season of the seraph was PEAK, awesome weapons, awesome story with great character development. Great activities and an absolutely amazing finale, I hope that final shape blows it out of the park with the storytelling as well!
Yes. Subminds are essentially split parts of Rasputin who would work locally on specifc jobs roles and sectors. All resources managed by them. However Rasputin was known as a tyrant even by his own subminds. He has the will and authority to consume and take over submind resources. So yes they are their own systems but Rasputin still has completle authority of them
Lightfall was definitely a side step from the direction the Witch Queen seasons took us in. BUT- I went into it like a filler beach episode and I actually enjoyed myself with the base campaign so far! (Also strand warlock is ridiculously fun.)
@@terabellum Oh for sure , the seasons for lightfall except defiance are equal if not better than the witch queen ones for the stories they tell. Warlock strand is indeed really fun with the threadling spam
@@terabellum Tbh, that's the right mindset to have for Lightfall, and as a fellow Warlock, I agree that Strand Warlock is peak, though I love the other Strand classes as well.
The most emotional season of all. Him fusing with Felwinter was so good for his character, as Felwinter is one of my favourite lore characters. You can clearly hear him in Rasputins lessons. Like how he tells Osiris to be patient, or that dwelling in the past is irrelevant to Ana Sadly this very high high, is followed by quite the low low Little known fact: The exotic mission gave us the location of the last City due to the skybox Also Eido figured this tactic of Xivu Arath out in Season of the Plunder. She really is a smart one, too bad we took so long Also also since we are the last argument of the Traveler, it could not truely leave, not after what we acomplished. It got into Orbit to take the blow instead of Earth (or so people would let you think to believe)
I always loved rasputin content, so while this season was one of my favorites it was just as heartbreaking as it was amazing to see that final cutscene. Still holding out with hope and boundless cope that Rasputin may somehow be risen as a guardian yet... Also, to address an earlier point on eramis being a mother, they don't touch on it in game to my knowledge and you'd have to read a certain lore bit for it, but Eramis does have a partner out there somewhere from before her days as a kell, and it would seem that mara knew
The real irony here is that Ana most likely taught Clovis everything HE knows about Rasputin back in her previous life before she was resurrected without her memory. Clovis was an uncanny genius no doubt about that, and he did invent a great many things, but his real strength was in recruiting other geniuses including his own family and learning about their own accomplishments. Fun fact, the majority of stuff we heard about back in Destiny 1 that was invented by "Clovis Bray", was actually talking about his COMPANY called Clovis Bray and was actually invented by one of his kids or head scientists and he simply learned everything about it afterwards. Even the K1 Artifact Clarity Control that taught him about the Darkness was actually discovered by his son in law. Anyway... I keep wondering if we couldn't have skipped recruiting Clovis AI by using what Savathun left us, the darkness powers of the Altar of Reflection that we used to recover her own memories from artifacts related to her, by using her ID Card that she wore while developing Rasputin... OR IF WE MIGHT STILL DO THAT LATER ON SO SHE CAN REBUILD RASPUTIN OR SO WE CAN HELP A GUARDIAN EXO RASPUTIN RECOVER ITS DATA!
For the sake of honouring one of if not the best characters in Destiny I would love if they brought back the old warmind tech stuff back as exotic armours for each class. Valkyrie, warmind cells and something else for the remaining class. All with enhanced functionality. Maybe synergy with the ikelos and seventh seraph weapons?
Now THIS is the season I’ve been looking forward to. One thing I like about this season is seeing little echoes of the original scrapped 2013 Destiny plot; Rasputin as an Exo for one. It’s a bummer to see Charlemagne demoted from the Mars Warmind to just a submind but at least he’s included. I also think it’s so cool to see so many different characters and factions at play. Mara, Clovis, Eramis, Xivu Arath, and so on. It’s cool to see this combination of focal characters. And that finale… absolutely amazing. Seeing the original Destiny promo art mirrored in that final cutscene is just incredible. Honestly I don’t think they could have done a better job of setting up and hyping up Lightfall. One thing I will say. There is a lot of debate on the motive’s of the Traveler’s actions in the finale. Is it trying to cut and run now that the Witness is so close? Or is it trying to get clear of the city to limit civilian casualties. We don’t know, but maybe we’ll get the answer in due time.
Im still betting my money, in a a last moment move, out of shot and obviously not in any cutscene... the traveler rezzed rasputin... but instead of a normal routine rez.. He's rezzed, full memories, and is waiting for the right moment to pop back into the picture all light powered up! As a surprise to us and Ana. And to add to it, he also used that time planning more strategies. Note: i know chances are slim as hell! But i can dream! Imagine... a golden age super ai capable of mass genocide, i mean he is essentially capable of that, rezzed as a gaurdian. Sure sounds bad.. but on our side!? Hehehehe we gonna send the witness back to factory settings!!!!
Lightfall will be... interesting. But you've long proven to have a keen eye for analysis, so I'm confident your commentary will be engaging regardless on how you feel about the story.
It still bothers me that Elsie lost her accent this season for some reason. I think it's the same voice actress but she pronounces words like an American instead of like an Englishwoman as she did in Beyond Light
A change in voice direction, perhaps. It's still the same actress, Moira Quirk (who also played the Emissary of the Nine), who replaced Lauren Cohan from the first game. I noticed the American pronunciation come in during the Deep Stone Crypt 'ink blot' cutscene.
Season of Failed Retcon. Whoever they hired to write the arc for this season knew next to nothing about the lore of Destiny and Destiny 2. As a result, it is quite apparent how that 'seasonal activity' contradicts pretty much everything that was known about CB I, Warminds and Rasputin. The poor sob who wrote this joke of a story was given scraps of 2016-2020 designers' drafts - the best indication of this are the pieces of dialogues that seemingly contradict their own season lore (such as "Rasputin favourite Submind" despite them retconning Subminds as pieces of Rasputin and not stand-alone Warminds of Golden Age with the total number of 7, or the dialogue about "how those Subminds share some core coding with the Rasputin"). But even all that pales in comparison to the existence of Seraph Station. And I am not even talking about how WARSATs are still operational (which they cannot be as they, too, are integral parts of Rasputin's neural network and given that Bongo simply BWOOP'ed Rasputin off several seasons earlier in the past, WARSATs are supposed to be also completely inert). I am talking about the station itself. Forget about the silly notion of having a magical station that SOMEHOW controls WARSATs across the Sol system (which is also false - VOLUSPA Warmind was in control of Sol system defenses during the First Collapse), let's just humor Bongo there for a moment. The station. Look at the station. Walk the station. Take a peek outside during the small jump puzzle on the outside of the Seraph Station. You can see the Last city and the Traveller idling above it. How very cute. There's but this one little tiny problem here: Destiny 2 begins with the Red War. The Red War begins with the Red Legion invading the Last city - and demolishing every satellite in the orbit above Earth. It is literally how the first cinematic of Destiny 2 starts - but it is something that the author of Season of Fanfiction Writing either forgot or didn't know in the first place. But hey, hey, easy. I think there's a logical explanation to Cabal somehow miraculously missing an enormous space station floating just above the Traveller and the Last city, right? There must be one. There HAS to be something! Oh, I know! Ghaul probably didn't have a Witch Queen DLC! ... That, my friends, is the 'high-quality lore' of modern days. That, kids, is what happens when Bungie becomes Bongo.

Fun fact, this shot is one of the original promotional art for D1 waaaaay back in 2013. Seeing finally in-game was freaking mind-blowing for us who've been playing since day 1.
It might've been shown off earlier than that with the 'Destiny Awaits' easter egg in Halo 3: ODST, back in 2009.

Why does this story actually get me to tear up bruh
I like Byf's interpretation of what happened in last cutscene (which probably is true) but the Traveler didn't leave because Rasputin sacrificed himself.
"Devotion inspires bravery, bravery inspires sacrifice and sacrifice leads to death."

If we get Rasputin as a lightbearer SOMEHOW, I will lose my entire shit.

So is cayde argument invalid I like war machine
Waiting all day for this. On a long road trip, so this will help kill the time. Thanks Terra, hope youre well.
Drive safe!
Definitely one of the most emotional seasons, it almost made me cry in all honesty. I won’t spoil the finale of this season but I will warn you to have a tissue box on hand.
@@reggielacey2235and that’s your opinion, to each their own.
In the end her father was cold, calculating, and uncaring while Rasputin was the one who cared about her. Who was the real machine?
well, grandfather, but yeah
Her father is Clovis Bray II, and he’s long gone. Her grandfather is who you’re thinking of. Not even that, it’s a copy of Clovis. Of all his worst aspects.
11:19
I often think about how Osiris' dinner with Saint must have gone after this conversation with Clovis AI.
I want to remind you of the Guardian tenets:
Devotion inspires Bravery
Bravery inspires Sacrifice
And Sacrifice leads to Death.
If editing continues apace, you'll see my opinion on base Lightfall very soon! 😁
@@terabellum oooooh I’m definitely eagerly waiting
just here to point out that a false surrender is a war crime 😂
Love me some war crime /j
As a Canadian.... who's headcanon is that my titan.. is an incognito surviving warlord biding his time to do war crimey things as payback for what saladin and the iron lords did...... I approve
Seraph was one the most emotional seasons i played. Rasputin was such a great redemption arc character. i kinda hope theres a piece of him left or a way Ana to rebuild him, or an analog of him
He had a real mind. He had a real soul. He sacrificed himself. He's eligible to become an Exo guardian just like his son the Siddhartha Golem...
After watching this season, someone is going to need to go to this guy's house and just give him a big fat hug
Oh, yeah, considering your favoritism with Rasputin, I imagine this season tore you up…
Also, the dungeon from this season has hidden voice logs left by Eramis. You should look them up.
LOOK HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY 😭
I love your reactions youre a very attentive and passionate person. I loved this season and the redemption of Rasputin. The Dark Future lore paints a very different outcome. The only reason we avoided it was because the guardians, the people and the coalition stuck together and cooperated. The music at the end cutscene made me burst into tears. I’m a sucker for music.
I posted this comment on your Season of Plunder comments for context on Eramis being a mother, so I'll post it here because Mara Sov prompted the question
So some context that isn't explained but it is in lore.
We're towards the final stretch now. It awaits.
Salvation..
This is what i've been waiting for. Ever since you voiced our shared loved for our robo boy, I knew you would love this season!
If you're curious, the solo vocalist you hear in the last major cutscenes' music is Laura Intravia; who's sung on almost every Destiny soundtrack in some way, shape, or form since Taken King.
I know i say this a lot but reading the lore cards ingame makes the story way more enjoyable and you dont get spoiled by them, it helps

During season of the risen, Ana "spoke" with caiatl's psion and it helped her connect with Rasputin in his "mind" and she saw a spear and I think a rose withering
Yes, House of Salvation, Xivu and The Sol Divisive are working for the witness.
Terra, it’s fine to be obsessed with the Vex. Just … don’t drink the milk.
Fun fact. Clovis/Rasputin is voiced by the same voice actor as Saint, Brian T. Delaney. That's some range.
Devotion inspires bravery. Bravery inspires sacrifice. And sacrifice...
In the end, Rasputin proved that he truly was a Guardian of humanity, above all else.
Rest in peace, Red. The rest of us will carry on your burden from here
We are his Seraphs.
Best season ever for me. A beautiful cinematci finale, good story beats, a lot of background story about rasputin and the bray family, good content and good weapons, This season was PEAK, and infact I think it was the biggest season in terms of number of players on all the platforms,
@@reggielacey2235 I did not ask for your opinion, actually.
SAY THE LINE, ANA!
"THE HIVE ARE SENDING AN OGRE!"
YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Rasputed himself into an engram, funniest thing I ever saw
So sorry you had to get broken like the rest of us.
clovis is an awful, insufferable person, but god I love him as a character, and his voice acting
I'M GLAD SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT. I really love his voice acting. It's done so well it borders on making me like him but he is just so god awful I can't. 😅
It's the same actor as Saint-14, believe or not; Brian T.Delaney.
@@MilanTehVillain oh cool! I didn't know that, thanks! 😄
@@Sathalan No problem! ‘Tis one of my specialties!
Just wanted to say that I’ve been waiting for this season since your started your reactions and like always your reaction did not disappoint!!
Eramis had some voice logs in the dungeon, they are kinda short though.
DEVOTION.
BRAVERY.
SACRIFICE.
DEATH.
May we one day see him reforged in the Light!
The Iron Lords Will forgive you Red R.I.P
48:10 Eramis hates it. Just like risen guardians, or even less so, they do not have their memories and are enslaved by Xivu to do the Witness bidding. They do not recognize her and it pains her to see her comrades bodies forced to serve while having their sentience stripped away. That's why she sounds downtrodden/defeated.
I'm still hopeful that Rasputin becomes a Guardian, and that Ana finished the Exo Frame that he used.
1:42:41 that was a very brave and devoted sacrifice that led to death.... Just saying
Witch queen is literally the year of heart break
my absolute FAVORITE SEASON!
Its easy to forget that some of these characters have known each other for hundreds of years. Mara is an old lady, so is Eramis and Elsie.
@@terabellum pretty much yeah, thats why the workaround was for rasputin to stop fighting and sacrifice himself.
Rasputin technically isn’t lost. He is Archie, the robo dog.
The warmind vault being in a timewound isn't convenient as you said, its because the witness was looking in the vault, this season has no conveniences
Lets go, favorite season
I'm an emotional masochist so this one is DEFINITELY among my favorites. 😂
@@terabellum one of the details that my favorite is as the traveler "leaves" it stops just in orbit, even before the warsays are deployed. A common theory is that It did that so if we fail, the last city wouldn't be in the line of fire
Eramis is a mother with a wife, likely having adopted a few hatchlings
Clovis Bray is not dead
your gonna love the first cutscenes of light fall
Another episode so quickly??!! I'm blessed 🙌
So yes they are their own systems but Rasputin still has completle authority of them
Honestly this is my favourite season it just sucks that lightfall didn't match the momentum
I cannot help but guess that the "More than a weapon" quest is a BeeGees reference
I hada very similar, if not worse, reaction to Raputin's death. He was my favorite character 😭
The most emotional season of all. Him fusing with Felwinter was so good for his character, as Felwinter is one of my favourite lore characters. You can clearly hear him in Rasputins lessons. Like how he tells Osiris to be patient, or that dwelling in the past is irrelevant to Ana
Sadly this very high high, is followed by quite the low low
Little known fact: The exotic mission gave us the location of the last City due to the skybox
Also Eido figured this tactic of Xivu Arath out in Season of the Plunder. She really is a smart one, too bad we took so long
Also also since we are the last argument of the Traveler, it could not truely leave, not after what we acomplished. It got into Orbit to take the blow instead of Earth (or so people would let you think to believe)
Somebody buy him more tissues in advance for season of Defiance.
I think next week is the season finale to season of the wish(current season)setting up to the final shape.
You have a few more weeks before Final Shape. Good luck catching up and getting ready.
We're so close it's actually crazy! 🫠
I can’t believe I miss out on that season. I’m a fool
I've been waiting for this one given how much you said you love Rasputin LOL.
I'm so sorry for what's coming next
Ana had to kill her son
Fantastic season
Ok it looks like you have lightfall next. I promise it gets better after that.
Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaah, finallyyyy
The best season.
