LMAO. main difference on the clicks are the fact that Hyperlight clicks are optical and OP1 8k clicks are GX mechanicals. Omron opticals are a bit pingy and a bit more on the tactile side. GX mechanicals are more conventional since they're mechanical, but also have their own unique feeling. Big benefit of the OP1 series is that you can get hot swap PCBs to change the switches yourself without having to solder. OP1 shape is much more narrow towards the front. Hump design language is similar, but placed more towards the rear on the OP1 compared to the "center humped" Hyperlight.

You're more than welcome! No, but it does currently hold the spot for my personal favourite wireless mouse. Keep in mind that shape is my biggest priority, and that shapes are highly subjective.

I think you could still be able to use it, but I definitely wouldn't call this a truly small or mini mouse. This is more leaning towards a small-medium. Maybe a short and stubby mouse like the HTS2 from G-Wolves could be more interesting to you!

@@jakeufps I was thinking of getting the VANCER x Arbiter Studio AKITSU but i decided to try out the hitscan hyperlight, since it is in stock in white and cheaper veil being just as good if not better quality. I think i will like it better than my OP1 8K.

It depends on how the click is engineered, but since almost all mice have the switch installed on the right side prong of the scroll wheel, it can often be actuated by pushing it to the right. However, it is indeed intended to be pushed down upon originally.

just keep in mind that the hitscan will feel noticeably bigger, the beast x mini is super freaking narrow

Thank you! I agree, I personally despise aggressive limiting claw humps like the X2H and Scyrox V8. I'm also really not a fan of super hour glass like shapes.

I haven't used it in forever due to the sizing.

I actually highly prefer my black unit, it's much more sleek. Don't know why I didn't show it off in my review. I really do love the blue Saturn as well, glad I bought it!

Definitely a lot safer and not as crazy unique, but I think the changes are objectively good for most people.

I get that the Viper Mini was truly its own character with the hour glass shape, curvature and taper, but I really do think that the sides on the Hyperlight are much more viable for most grip styles and hand sizes 🙏

The Hyperlight really is pretty much what I once said on stream would be a great shape that almost everyone would be able to enjoy: Small-Medium size, Viper Mini inspired, flat sides, no aggressive taper, no hour glass shape, non-obtrusive narrow near center hump, grippy coating, etc.

my Hyperlight units are just as good as my new VAXEE E1 and ZOWIE DW series mice, and the coating definitely does feel a bit rubbery and high quality

@jakeufps oh I'm keeping it 100% I'd just like another option to use/ experiment to see if anything else will work for me. I really like the look of the demon slayer mice from pulsar really but I don't know if it will perform well. I also like the Atlantis mini and hyperlight look.

my honest advice is to stick with your mouse and not look for anything else if you're content with it

not that comparable since it's not as high profile and squishes, but the main difference is definitely the extremely safe shape of the hyperlight with it's super flat sides

how would it compare to the gpx, using a relaxed claw grip with 18x 10.5 hands

@@soetari I think you would have quite a bit more room for fingertip mobility if you relax claw with your hands since it's noticeably narrower and feels a lot less bulky towards the back compared to the superlight but still has a high enough hump.

@@soetari The Op1 has a lower profile and feels even less bulky in hand, like an arrow; the curvature is more pronounced, and because of the very pronounced back hump, it forces you into a more aggressive claw grip but still offers proper fingertip mobility.

@ yeah my issue with the op1 is I couldnt really relax claw it only aggresive or finger tip

glad that people are enjoying their F1 Extreme, definitely seems like a go-to if you're on a budget

it's not as CRAZY tapered, but it's definitely not flat either - it's in between; I personally can't use the atlantis mini without cramping, but the Sora V2 I can main just fine.

I believe that the build quality should be better with the Hyperlight - and I agree that in SEA, the F1 Extreme is a better bang-for-buck buy. I would even suggest trying to find the Leviatan edition tbh.

Yeah that's crazy, you really need a solid reason to spend twice as much, and if the QC is decent on the latest F1 batches, you should definitely go for it in those regions
