I would definitely appreciate an in-stock baseline as well for those who just want a solid colour glass pad, but unfortunately female character designs that are limited drops sell MUCH better.
You really gotta grab a superglide for comparison against these pads, as one of the more mainstream pads at a "cheaper" pricepoint for its size its what a lot of people will have a reference to. I remember in one of your past vids you mentioned using it at a friends house, how do you think this one matches up to the superglide from your memory?
It's not a QC issue, I have the same feeling about the dust particles. It's probably due to the very fine and smooth surface. The smallest particles stick to this surface more than on others like the Skypad, for example. I have the same or similar feeling with the Padsmith pad, The Empress.
Tried them, and I'm not the biggest fan of them so far, I still think PTFE dots like the Yanzi dots, X-raypad Obsidians/Jades or probably also Ghostglides Cyclones are more viable on most glass pads PlastiX feel pretty inconsistent so far depending on how much pressure you put into the pad and the corners/sides are almost sticky
@@jakeufps Obsidian Dots, fitted Obsidian skates and Obsidian donuts have been amazing. I have Cyclone dots as well but haven't tried them yet. I need to try some of the Yanzi dots. On cloth the only real difference I've felt in skates is Jade Speed. They're noticeably faster at first over BTL or Corepads but that's about it. Skates on glass are drastically different between each kind. So I'm still working on which ones I like the best. I have the Akari, Wallhack 4.0 and TJ Cerapad Kin. All the skates feel different on every one of them
@@thinkforyourself5672 I have the cerapad kin with obsidian red dots (not donuts) and I personally love it. I plan to stick to the red dots but I kinda want to try the akari. I really love the control/balanced speed of the kin, and I’m wondering if the akari performs similar in terms of control/speed.
@@HeyNavi, The Akari is definitely faster than the Kin. Slower than the Wallhack. I would say it's more of a balanced glass pad but a tick higher than some balanced glass pads in the speed department. It's a super unique feel when it comes to glass. Simply - faster than the Kin, slower than a handful of others.
I wonder how the tjexclusive skates play on this. Also, I dont know quite where you got the info on jades being hard, that isnt the case at all. The inital coating on them is rather hard, and honestly slows down on my superglide a lot, but when that coating is gone its pretty soft ptfe. Its probably harder than tiger ice skates, but on my superglide these jades are very smooth, and flatten down in 2-3 weeks depending on how much you use them, so I wouldnt really consider them all that hard.
it also seems that the akari looks rather similar to the superglide, it just seems that everybody sold their superglide shortly after getting it, so nobody has it to compare.
It's on purpose, FOMO/Marketing type beat (also easier to finance that way and find out how it's received for a first batch like this). There will be several revisions of it in the future, though - next one is coming up in July already o7
Problem is I NEVER trust reviewers when they get stuff sent out which unfortunately means nearly all peripheral reviewers. They’re all turning into rotten tomato critics and shills. Kind off of putting to even waste time watching. It’s like a rinse and repeat opinion with desperately not trying to offend the small business owner.
Oftentimes, if you want to review stuff, you HAVE to have the company send a copy to you in advance so you can build and tape the review *before* the embargo lifts (something that tech reviewers have to abide by). This is why reviewers tend to come out with content of a product at the same time, and it was done weeks in advance to release at that time. For the case of peripherals, because it's such an enthusiastic community that's low-volume like mice or even keyboards, you HAVE to get stuff sent to you or else you're 100% at the mercy of buying the stuff yourself, which may not be possible if unlucky because it's a limited edition product, like the Akari, or the next one. On top of that, you'll be late to releasing a review if you chase review numbers compared to other individuals, too, so that's another disadvantage. Still, though, if anything, I just never really like reviews on products that are not possible to obtain. Its kinda like watching a review on a 1 time drop Finalmouse product since, in my opinion, pre-ordering anything or ordering anything without watching third-party reviews is insanely stupid and financially reckless/irresponsible. Anything that relies on FOMO for success is shit, and the company especially.
Yuki better take their notes, thats how you make appealing pad that would attract even people who give no flying F's about anime. Artwork is just eyecandy. Still tho, it sucks that everyone has adopted Skypad tactics with limited bs - buy fast or fuck off. Meh.
I'm not a glass pad guy, but I still watch your glass pad videos
can't wait to buy the blue one soon, a store near me got around 120 pieces and i can buy them physically which is very nice ngl
That's awesome! I also really love the look of the new one, can't wait to see the design irl
if you don't mind telling me, which store?

@michael21-ou2yt the next pad releases in July though from what I've seen in their discord
I just wish all these pads had a regular black or red or any other color design. I don’t watch anime and don’t want it on my desk.

the new design is so much better it looks so damn good

Thanks for mentioning your support of artists and anti-Ai stance.
I love when you say "other" lol. It sounds like you saying udder 🐄
Do you have a Shidenkai v2 to compare? The way you describe it, it sounds a lot like a Shidenkai v2 mid.

Very happy to hear I'm not the only one having that issue 🙏
Can completely rely to this, same with my Akari. I have been wiping it out so much it was making me crazy, but overall it´s such a great glasspad
Have you tried the TJX PlastX skates yet? They're phenomenal and solely made for glass

the blue one's surface will have some feedback
"hm nice review lets see the price of the pad surely it cant be that much right"

P.S please could you let me know where you got that usb holder, it looks so clean 😭😭😭
Damn that thing looks gorgeous

how are the durability of the yanzi dots? do they wear down as fast as jades on glass? or do they last long time like obsidian reds?
Should be in between those two skates listed
how often would you say you have to clean the pad, inorder to get rid of the embedded dust? and how noticeable is this dust in real world use?
so will the kazemi just be a reskin of the akari or will it be a whole new feel
It's been mentioned it will be different. Made more for speed
would it be worth it if I spend 60 usd on the x2 mini premium black for fingertip 19*11?
It's a great shape for ftip, so if you think it's something you'd enjoy, I'd say so (especially if you don't care about 4K)
when you're done using that pad.. sell to me pls dad
I wish my xdefiant servers were as good as yours. haven't been able to get under a 32 ping once.
would have been a great pad if it wouldn´t have been capped at 550 pieces very stupid decision
