After as much testing as you for over a year. I can safely say the Razer Atlas is the best glass pad for control and speed. Both my buddies picked one up as well and each love it.
Agreed, I was really surprised the Atlas wasn't on this tier list. Imo I think it is genuinely the best glass pad out rn in the market. It has really great speed AND control.
Guess I'll finally have to get one eventually... Main reason I don't own it is because I don't love glass pads enough to buy multiple ones, hence I basically only review the ones sent out to me.
You're welcome! Hope it can be useful enough for people wondering what the differences are, was very worried this wouldn't be received well since it's my first time doing something like this.
Fantastic tier list Jakeu 🔥 Nice touch with what skates to use at the end too 🫡 That scratchy feeling/noise gets to me more often than I’d like to admit
I have a question, you talk about speed, but not specifically about statics and kinetics of all these glass pads. I own skypad 3 and wallhack and I noticed that the most annoying thing about skypad (which i couldn't quite grasp what it was) is gone in the wallhack. In skypad I felt like the mousepad is obviously fast, but there was something wrong with my precision in CS. After getting wallhack and seeing those static/kinetic friction numbers comparison on their website, I understood what was probably my main problem - the static was too high for such a fast kinetic friction pad. With wallhack there is even more speed, but there is that BALANCE that allows to microcorrrect/change directions etc easier - cause the static is much lower with overall similar kinetic friction. And before you suggest - I need specific pads skates cause I need higher lod so I wont use 0,6 or 0,8mm dots. So what I want to know is if there is a more controlled glass pad, but with a similar more open static friction? I read on a spreadsheet that the Pulsar superglide is indeed quite more controlled than skypad/wh in the kinetic (also from some reviews), but in this case I doubt that the static is low - I have the Pulsar Superglides v2 and they are very slow in static friction, much worse than ptfe, so I suspect the superglide glass pad is the same cause it's the same material (?). So will Empress or Glaze be what I'm looking for? Or Glassworks Akari? So more controlled kinetic but with balanced not muddy static? Muddy is obviously a funny word considering glass pads, but I believe it's more about the balance of static/kinetic
@@yessir4878 i bought glaze and i think glaze is okay in terms of what i need, but tbh overall im coming to a conclusion that glass pads might be not what im looking for. I'm still figuring things out
@@G0ated0 i figured out that full hard pads are not right for CS for me, they don't allow any pushing in. I don't like any soft pads either cause they block the movements too much when pushing in, but I just look for firm pads, especially corduras
@@jakeufps It's a need. I had obsidians like a lot of people but I believe @euphraosStuff said cyclones were better on glass so I tried and they're smoother and quieter while still being kind of control oriented.
Now, I own a lot of glass pads, there is one I recommend most people try. Superglide is great, and you can't go wrong with a Skypad 3.0. But, the ASUS Moonstone ACE. Is amazing. Incredibly underrated. Feels great, large rubber base. Haven't had any issues with any skates either.

Small correction about the GLSSWRKS pad; Apparently it will also be balanced, in between sonar and empress in terms of speed most likely.
