How to Make $1,000 Every Day
Times are hard, things are getting expensive.
We started our business to free up our time, and to be able to make the life we wanted. Most of our days are large installs, with a lot of up front money for material, gas, insurance and other overhead, not to include the skills and knowledge we obtained along the way... But, we rarely show the other half, when we are working alone, like we often do on weekends, for extra spending cash so we can get the fun stuff we want in life! Here's a simple job Nash knocks out in less than two hours... It's a great way to make some extra money if you are looking to increase your income!

How to Protect Your Pool Area From Flooding | Simple Drainage Solution
I hope you guys are still coming to look at our yard/pool/lanai this Monday 7/15. We really need your help before I start a DIY project that's way over my head. 😆
@@Lux_Lethal what’s your name? I’ll make sure!
@@TampaDrainDudes You texted my husband back, so we're set up. We were just passing the time yesterday watching your videos. 😃
I love underbidding over-priced asshats con artists and their companies and getting the job over them.
Could you please stop? We hate following up after uninsured, unlicensed, Chucks with a truck who waste a customers money because they were the "cheaper route". Now they have to pay twice... who's the real con artist? Know your worth, thanks for watching, much love. <3
@TampaDrainDudes Im licensed and insured, lol and still can do it cheaper and better than you over priced assholes
Must be charging 300 an hour ,every customer your whole insurance policy for the year all your maintenance, fuel, tools etc for the whole year. Huge rip off con artist
That's good math Shawn, $600/2hr is indeed $300 per hour. I don't know about you, but I've never met a "rip off con artist" with 5 stars on Google and the best reputation for drainage in town. Stay broke brother, best of luck. <3
Man, I've been draining dudes for free all these years
Know your worth brother. $$$
You guys rock. Glad you are back on UA-cam.
What are those orange hose clamps you guys use? Where are they available?
@@Bdchannel77620 cable cuffs! You can get them at Home Depot and lowes too I think!
Your title and what your are talking about is totally different bro
@@dejaywestb254 how so? I showed you how to make $600 in two hours. Do it twice, that’s over $1000. Do it every day. $1000+ every day.
Hes definitely not taking home 300 an hour.
@@shawnconley1675 are you looking for work Shawn? You sound like need it. Would be happy to show you, but you gotta leave behind that mindset. 🫡
Great job! Do you service Citrus Springs?
@@landz2154 we do not, but we are working on expanding!
why dont you drill the catch basin? mosquitos will sit in there if not
@@jean-paulwilson8534 we do! We put holes in the catch basins at the end of every job to help with mosquitos and to help prevent the basins from floating up if water surrounds it.
Thanks for the video guys! Mega helpful for these crappy 2 " drains. Also, like the extension idea.
@@kraigray3940 thanks for watching! Extension is the key, always make sure they have a good outlet and aren’t draining straight into dirt!
Just curious, how come you decided to put the popup emitter right at the gate? Isn’t it going to soften and muddy that area?
@@ChrisTopher284765490 had to keep it on the property, and it’s not really used for anything either, just a nature preserve behind.
@@TampaDrainDudes Makes sense. Great video !

Good shit
@@xersis31 good shit indeed 😎❤️
Thank you! That was awesome!
Using screws and not taping every joint is asking for a clog and root penetration. these owners will be replacing their drainage system in a few years.
1inch screws that stick 1/4-1/8 out are not “asking for clogs”. The nearest tree or shrub is 50 yards away, but nothing on this planet can “stop” root penetration. We’ve installed a few thousand over the years and maintain them for our customers annually as well, it’ll be ok. 🫡
I used to do that all the time and it didn’t work
Works the exact same as an interior coupler.
My favorite part is where they put the dirt that washed up right back down the channel.
Back in and down the line. Dirt floats when water flows. When there’s nowhere for water to flow, it sits and stacks.
Or just take a drillbit and just drilling a few holes into the product already that was laid so I don’t have to buy something else and waste what you just already delayed, but that works too
That works for about a week, in most cases, until debris clogs it and builds inside the hollowed framing. Some people want a permanent fix done the right way, instead of the cheap way, but both work if maintained. 🤠
It’s called the cheater coupling because it’s going to leak like a sieve
Good thing it’s not meant to be a watertight system. Water actually fills into the pipe from the loose joints, not outwards. That’s how perforated pipe in French drains work.
How deep the drainage pipe needs to be ?
We like to shoot for 10-14 inches, but it depends on the kind of pipe, size of pipe, and how shallow you need to be to still keep slow on he way out!
Why no rocks around the tubing?
It’s solid pipe. No perforations/holes in it. Just moves water from A to B
looks good?
Does this work if catch basin is low but then the pop up emitter is like 4 foot higher? my house slopes down from the street so gravity wont work. Thanks for any info!
No, it does not. You situation sounds like you’d likely need to build a drainage system that incorporates a sump pump. We have some videos on Sump install jobs as well! There’s a sump pump playlist on our channel.
What kind of adapter did you use to connect the channel drain to the pvc pipe? They are not the same shapes.
The bottom of most channel drains are round and will fit standard size pvc fittings. This case was a 1 1/2inch. Many pool companies sell custom fit adapters to fit the shape if you want a better visual appearance too.
Where do you get the drain caps?
Deck drain janitor
Where do you get those drain caps? Love your channel by the way
Thanks! Deck drain janitor
What's up, guys? No new videos anymore?
We don’t have time to film and edit everything right now getting into the busy season unfortunately. Looking to hire but nobody wants to do physical labor anymore. 🤷🏼♂️ We will release some soon!
@@TampaDrainDudes That's good news, guys. Till that next video, warm greetings from Germany!
Those tiny channel drains have to be one of the worst inventions ever. They shouldn't even be legal to install these days. Or at least clean outs like what you made should be mandatory.
Agreed. No idea why we do 4inch downspouts but install 1inch channel drains…
Is that perforated piping? If so, why no rocks/barrier to prevent the soul from going in? Is the idea to use the catch basins to clean manually every once and a while?
No, this job was all solid pipe, no perforations. Only way water gets in is from the catch basins and downspouts!
I have a trench drain that looks just like this one. Does the top pop off, or would i be destroying it trying to remove it, clean and reinstall? Seems crazy they would install something that needs to be cut to be removed for cleaning.
90% of the channel drains do not have removable tops. That’s why we install these deck drain caps.
What holds the channel drain in place? No concrete like so many other videos show. I need to install one for a similar issue with our storehouse and don’t want to seat the drain in concrete.
Great Question, we set many of our channel drains with concrete. This time we just used some rebar as stakes to hold it against the slab under the doorframe, used Sikaflex to close any gaps, and backfilled the sub-base and recompacted it. If it were just soil we would've used cement, as soil is more likely to washout if water gets in it.
What do you charge or how you charge for hydro jetter or use sewer camera
We price each job independently so we can quote them in person. Quotes are free on our website! Tampadraindudes.com
I need this at my house but I'm on the opposite side of the state 😢
Which direction? Have you tried Chuck with Apple Drains?
@@TampaDrainDudes East. I haven't looked around yet.
why wouldn't you tie into the downspout? isn't that downspout going to drain next to the footing and door?
The gutter that’s connected to the downspout doesn’t catch any water, it was installed too low, water runs right over it.
Imagine waiting by your garbage cans randomly and getting absolutely drenched lol
Hey. Great instructional video.where do you get that repair strip?
Deck Drain Janitor!
Adding roof water to a french drain? I was under the impression you were trying to dry out the sub surface and surface area between the homes? Can you explain why the downspout isnt in its own solid pipe to keep water from being drained into a spot you are tying to dry out? thanks
How do you charge for these type of jobs
4 inch down to 2 inch? Why not run all 2 inch 😂
There’s about 60-70ft of buffer 4inch. Running 2 inch the whole length wouldn’t be enough to cover 1 downspout.
You guys got a shout out from Apple Drains. Cool. Good work. Greetings from Texas.
Where can i get that snake hose with the jet spray
