How to Make $1,000 Every Day
Times are hard, things are getting expensive.
We started our business to free up our time, and to be able to make the life we wanted. Most of our days are large installs, with a lot of up front money for material, gas, insurance and other overhead, not to include the skills and knowledge we obtained along the way... But, we rarely show the other half, when we are working alone, like we often do on weekends, for extra spending cash so we can get the fun stuff we want in life! Here's a simple job Nash knocks out in less than two hours... It's a great way to make some extra money if you are looking to increase your income!
Check out our channel for more in depth installs and to see all the work we do to get our customer home safe and dry!

    Using screws and not taping every joint is asking for a clog and root penetration. these owners will be replacing their drainage system in a few years.

    • @TampaDrainDudes
      @TampaDrainDudes 26 днів тому

      1inch screws that stick 1/4-1/8 out are not “asking for clogs”. The nearest tree or shrub is 50 yards away, but nothing on this planet can “stop” root penetration. We’ve installed a few thousand over the years and maintain them for our customers annually as well, it’ll be ok. 🫡

      That works for about a week, in most cases, until debris clogs it and builds inside the hollowed framing. Some people want a permanent fix done the right way, instead of the cheap way, but both work if maintained. 🤠

    What kind of adapter did you use to connect the channel drain to the pvc pipe? They are not the same shapes.

    • @TampaDrainDudes
      @TampaDrainDudes Місяць тому

      The bottom of most channel drains are round and will fit standard size pvc fittings. This case was a 1 1/2inch. Many pool companies sell custom fit adapters to fit the shape if you want a better visual appearance too.

    What holds the channel drain in place? No concrete like so many other videos show. I need to install one for a similar issue with our storehouse and don’t want to seat the drain in concrete.

    • @TampaDrainDudes
      @TampaDrainDudes 2 місяці тому

      Great Question, we set many of our channel drains with concrete. This time we just used some rebar as stakes to hold it against the slab under the doorframe, used Sikaflex to close any gaps, and backfilled the sub-base and recompacted it. If it were just soil we would've used cement, as soil is more likely to washout if water gets in it.
