I've noticed that you don't wrap your connections in tile tape. Why is that? I've been working on my drainage line for a while, and so my lines are currently exposed (not buried yet), and even though my connections are tight, water still leaks out quite a bit. The last time I worked on my line I wrapped some of my connections with tile tape, and it helped a lot; hardly any leakage.
I'm just wondering why you don't use it.

Our systems aren't designed to be water tight. If theres a large amount of water from rain it will find its way into those joints rather than out, as its the path of least resistance moving downhill when there is a lot of water around. If you are just water testing with a hose and the ground is not already saturated some water will come out yes. We use tile tape when there is possible root intrusion or if the soil is nothing but sand.
