  • If you've got pooling water between you and your neighbors house we recommend either a yard drain or a downspout drain. Yard drains work well when we don't have gutters, downspout drains work better when we do, but the best option is having gutters and combination of the two.
In this video we show you step-by-step, how to install your own drainage system to redirect the water that comes out of your downspouts, underground, and out to a place where the water will actually drain. Stay tuned for the whole thing, as there are helpful tips and tricks along the way that you won't want to miss!

Again, use a 90° elbow and a pop up, all the dirt & debris will be caught in the pipe and clog it up.

If they are improperly installed. There shouldn’t be much debris in the end of your line in the first place.

Dirt can't go up hill and it collects in the bottom of the pipe, and water isn't meant to go up a 90 either ,there is NO slope to daylight. water flows to the end, hits the 90 and anything in it sits in the pipe and collects until the pipe clogs up.

@@LehighValleyRailroad dirt should be caught in catch basins. Water can go up a 90 when it has push from proper slope prior to the pop-up, once the push is gone, it drains through the bottom of the pop-up as it percolates through the ground. We install hundreds of these a year and have never had dirt stopping a pop-up, that’s why we offer free flushes in our contract, and they are almost never used.

And dirt, shingle sand and other debris collect in the pipe and clog it up, @@TampaDrainDudes

Now wait until the pipe fills up with more than water, like dirt and other stuff. No exit to daylight for the water.

That’s what catch basins and routine maintenance is for…we’ve installed a couple hundred without an issue yet. 🤷🏼‍♂️
