I’ve always enjoyed scary godmother because it gives a sense of nostalgia, while also giving us a good mix of the cartoonish drawings that are similar to how they were in the books, as well as the animation we had that day. It’s like she’s a mixture of Mary poppins, fairy godmother and the wicked witch.

Fantastic video, I love hearing the thoughts of people who have yet to fully dive in to all the games, it's a great litmus test and in a way allows me to re-experience the games for the first time again.

This was a genius work of art, and it was a testament to creativity. I still play it to this day! The other games that were released in the US sadly weren't as engaging; They seemed to lack the level of exploration and creativity that the original had...but I managed to get a translated rom of the Chibi Robo sequel, and it was incredible in its own right! It didn't quite level up to the original (mainly due to constraints around the DS processing power compared to Gamecube) but it still had such wonderful exploration, engaging characters, enjoyable gameplay, and the lore...my God the lore. The ending had me in f*cking tears... Nintendo messed up letting titles like this sleep. It feels like these days the effort they put into alot of their games just isn't as much...like there is less passion for the work. Chibi Robo was a true work of art, a timeless masterpiece that deserves to be remembered and played for generations.

I am stopping around 33:40 to make this comment. Remedy is famous for leaving useful infos in other media. Do you remember Clay Steward from the intro? Well, he has an actual real world book called "The Alan Wake Files" where he details this weird recurrent dreams and nightmares where he meet different people with such detail that it feels like a real experience. One of these people is Alan Wake, that he recognizes one day in the TV. The Book contains some details of his search. He arrives in Bright Falls a bit after everything went down and even describes the funerals for the missing people. He finds some things in Nightingale's Motel Room and does some research on his own. Apparently him and his partner were model fbi agents, before his partner started having terrible nightmares and, in the end, he died. He was Taken by the Dark Presence, in some form. Nightingale, apparently started having dreams of Alan Wake and convinced himself he was responsible. This is the reason behind the mortal hatred. ... Or something like that. I am a bit tired and trying to remember without checking the wiki. ------------- There are a lot of cute details there. Another fun extra thing is the "This House of Dreams" blog that I advise you read in its entirety. It started posting around Alan Wake American Nightmare and has a lot of cool info on: - Thomas Zane; - Night Springs; - Alan's fate; and there is even a preview of some concepts from Control! Really cool blog :D ---------- ----------- I rambled enough! Thank you for the video, going back to it!

Alan seems to have actual gifts to see through reality to turn actual people into pawns of the story. However this is sometimes vague and rules may have been broken leaving the question if writing is more on the side of foresight or omnipotent reality bending uncertain. While this convenient uncertainty may frustrate some it can also be a great story tool if done right. You’ll get to see Remedy go crazy with this freedom in Alan Wake 2. There will be answers but with them even more questions.

Abeit I haven't, probably, done that much research into internal monologues/dialogues as you did, but I always worked under the conclusion that most (almost all) people do have it It is rather a point of perspective, when say to a person "internal monologue", they might think they don't have one, because they are not hearing any voices, but rather think of them If you asked me, I'd say I have an internal dialogue, with myself, with other versions of myself (if that makes any sense), with what I want to be, rather than what I am (again, if that makes sense) And even when walking and listening to music, I think of words, and if those wordss were spoken, you would say it is a monologue/dialogue But, I do not "hear" them, those aren't "voices" in traditional sense I can deferentiate them, like, for example, when reading a book I can comprehend that those are different, although they "sound" to me as one - because they do not sound, but on the conceptual level I know they are different If in my internal dialogue there's a voice of a woman, I just know that is is a woman, although it is just a monotonous thought, just like any other I think afantasia is to blame, like, some people cannot "imagine" an image, just like me, for example You can ask me to imagine a house, but I wouldn't "picture" a particular house, I close my eyes, and there's nothing, no image, I only comprehend on the intuitive level the concept of a house with relative positioning of its elements, but no color If I do not close my eyes I can "adjust" the though of a house to have colors, but, again, when I close my eyes there's even less color than its absence, although, once again, I can "understand" where each color is on a house respectively to other colors I think the same thing is with internal conversations Some people actually have different voices as thought, while others just think of voices and may not recognize them as internal monologue

This game has been one of my favorites for a very long time now. I know people who will look at this game face value and go "dawg what is this?" I just wish more people were able to experience the game in its entirety. It goes so much deeper than just some goofy voice clips you hear over and over. There is a deeper story, and even though I wasn't entirely certain about the game at a young age, I'm so glad I picked it up. I also got to have a chat with Hirofumi Taniguchi, the sound designer and composer for Chibi-Robo. That was such a cool experience.

Tbh while I don’t think every videogame or manga or comic series needs that movie adaption I feel like fnaf is a special case personally. Fnaf as much as I’m a giant fan of it, ever since fnaf SB it’s been Really hard to actually be invested in the story. And that’s more than because the lores so hella complicated, but also because I feel fnaf often just doesn’t have true characters, just people with names with some tragic things that occurred with them The movie honestly fixes this a lot (I know ruin kinda does too cuz, cassie and Roxy also feel like more genuine characters, amongst some other exceptions, but it still felt like an issue) While maybe you’d have a different opinion on this film in particular, I feel like when the movie came out this was when I was, still a big fnaf fan but anxious on the future of the franchise But when I saw the movie with my friend? I personally feel it sparked up that kid inside me that got into fnaf a decade ago That I feel can be the charm of videogame movies if done right, it can help those on the verge of burnout of franchises to have a new love with it Btw I do agree on a lotta your points with the movie adaption stuff but I wanted to speak on fnaf in particular since that was also in the thumbnail with the text “stop this please” with the bad mario movie and the bad sonic design
