For all the people saying the animation aged badly: it was considered wild and kinda janky when it came out. I was in third grade in 2004 when this movie premiered on TV during the Cartoon Network Halloween marathon. (In the US, it was 2003 in other places) This played alongside Halloween episodes of Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi, The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, and a bunch of other stuff. Then at the end the person hosting the special goes on and on about a 'Spooktacular movie!' And then this. Literally everyone in my elementary school seperatly had a collective reaction of "WTF is this!?" before the actual special charmed us into liking it. It was a matter of Discussion while trading candy on the playground the next day.
