- [Ranting Rabbit ep. 4]
Awaken mortals from your frightful Nightmare
From the corner of your eye, you might just sight Hare
You try to turn back but you find you can’t,
Echoing down the halls, you hear his ghostly Rant
Show no fear, try best not to cower,
The clock signals for Hare’s Haunting Hour

Amnesia: The Dark Descent was really good though, it evoked real, genuine fear for me. The concepts were so twisted and the sense of helplessness was very strong.
It made me so happy seeing that Dishonored footage 💕
The resident evil franchise lost its footing when they forgot the true meaning of the game: the evil residence
the true Evil was the Residence we made along the way
@@thehairiesthare The reason Horror was made to begin with is because action game were kinda difficult to make the 90's, meaning games that focus on survival we're easier to make. Once technology improved, survival horror games became less important.
Even the creator of Silent Hill took a break from Horror games to make Gravity Rush, and the next horror game he's making is action horror rather than survival horror.
@@orangeslash1667 I think next year I might make a video over action horror. I think I gave it a bad representation in this video when, in reality, there’s still a lot to love about the genre.
But that first bit of knowledge is an excellent point I hadn’t thought of. Thank you for mentioning.
@@thehairiesthare You made a video about Collecting games, and here's my repose.
Like horror games, Collecting plaformers are important in the 90's and mid 2000's but when open world games become a thing ,suddenly collecting plaformers were less important.
Even Rare the company responsible for Banjo Kazooie, admitted they run out of ideas for Banjo and are currently making an open world game.
I absolutely don't miss that streamer/YT bait, walking sim, horror games era
Those will always be there, but it feels like RE7 and RE2R really sparked some life into bigger budget, good horror games
Good video👍🏾 subbed
I preferred the dub, but that’s just me 🤷♀️
This is so well done and I'm glad we all survived that era too! 😁
I find the 7th gen the golden age of muktiplayer shooters, but the dark age of horror games. We really just got Dead Space and (arguably) Last of Us.
The Evil Within and Dead Rising 2 are worth mentioning.
Didn't the Dead space remake make some story changes that are.. questionable?
No, quiet the contrary, they left the story of the game exactly as it was and instead of changing it they added more content that perfected everything that was already good.
How so?, by adding story elements from the books, movies and even for shadowing the events of the second and third game paving the way for the future remakes. They let everything that worked in the original game, improved some things, added more content, and the end result is a love letter to long time fans of the franchise.
I absolutely recommend anyone to play the remake.
Edit: Typo
Sure, some people find Hammond disappointing, that's fair
But those people always seem to gloss over good changes, and the biggest of them was talking Isaac
It's really jarring to replay the original, when 2 already has Gunner voice acting for him, and now Isaac can finally be his own character, instead of mute errand boy
