Update w/Different Art Form - Painted Wood Spirit Eyes
Update on different art form & painted wood spirit eyes.
Wood-psyche here, got caught up with the harvest
at the potato farm. Originally they were giving us time off on a weekly basis. But since it’s crunch time, I think the farm realizes it’s more important
to get the spuds out of the ground in an expedited fashion since the weather can change rapidly at a moment’s notice. So far, weather has been cooperative thus it’s wise to take advantage of optimum conditions.
Anyway, hoping everyone is well out there. Stay safe and keep on carving if you have the time.

@@wowwyzwerkshop Thanks very much! Always appreciated!🌝
Pretty cool carve, Paul. Thanks for sharing.😊 Cool idea with the stones. You ever try drilling or carving stones with the diamond bits? I've been collecting some softer stones to give it a try, I just need to set up a drip bottle, and a wet station to keep the bits cool. Would love to see a video if you try it sometime. Glad you are doing well. Take care.
@@kjirstenboucher9682 Thanks Kjirsten, yes I have used diamond burrs on stones before. That water drip thing sounds awesome to free up your hands while carving. I defo want to set something up like that. Thanks for that feedback! Good to bounce ideas off one another!!🌝 Cheers!
@@wood-psyche yeah, I think the rock carving sounds fun. Eventually want to set up a continuous flow situation for the drip system, but for now I just picked up a RainBird brand 1/4" shut off valve (for drip watering systems), and a small length of 1/4 inch tubing (also for drip watering systems). Only a few dollars for both. I'm just going to attach the valve to the bottom of a big plastic jar or bucket, silicone it in place to seal for leaks, then once it's cured I can attach the tubing, fill the container n be ready to start. The shut off valve is pretty small, but has a little knob to shut off and also control the amount of water dripping through. Should work fine for now. All the parts were under $7 so not a big investment either.👍
Hi Paul, how you been? Wow that is epic! Ever thought of making some salt and pepper shakers? I reckon you could carve some awesome one's. Anyway nicely done, and have a awesome day! 👍
@@markanthony559 Hey thanks Mark, busy with seasonal farm work, trying my best to get more vids up( which I’m making a point of using time off to make vids). The salt and pepper thing is a great idea, thnx for the invaluable feedback. Definitely take you up on that one! Thanx!🌝

You getting paid overtime now, definitely is why you’re getting time off! It’s not for safety! But, it is a good thing so not to get burned out. Now if you can get a few hours overtime it’s worth it! Those little stones were perfect, like little gems 💎! Good stuff!!
