My favorite bird is the Harpie Eagle. Not sure why I shared that bit of info 😂. Awesome info on the vulture. And great news on the subs! You'll get there in no time my friend !!! Im excited for the giveaway and crossing my fingers. Woot woot. ✌️

In Quebec, we have Turkey Vultures, grandiose with their wings, but really hideous lolll! But here, it does not feed exclusively on fresh carcasses! Rabbits, young birds, insects etc. s cool to try different things, since I started wood carving I've never done the same thing! So it’s a challenge every time! Wow! Your sanders die-grinder is fast lol! 😅😊 2K sub? Keep going the 2.5K will be there by September Paul, you put a lot of time into all the details, that's the key to great success, Magnifique!

live more around South America. I found

I love how it turned out!😊 Fun carve to watch as well. Vultures are so graceful when soaring the skies as they do. There are turkey vultures where I live. And I sat right next to a young California Condor when they were repopulating the Grand canyon area. Since it was young it had a fuzzy head still, and it was a beautiful bird,...so big too. Great carve n video. Thanks for sharing what you do.

I used to live in Oregon, and Washington State. Was there moving around for around five years. I miss the beautiful scenery there, and being close to the ocean. Your property there got damaged in the fires, didn't it? I sure hope it's making a recovery, and that you didn't take any personal home damage or loss from that. Those were scary fires. I can't imagine being there when that was going on. Hope things are going well for you there.
@@kjirstenboucher9682 Thanks Kjirsten, I like Oregon also, and lived in Washington similar to you, I was around Puget sound… unfortunately I had a small off-grid cabin and most of my possessions burned up. Luckily, I bring my carving gear wherever I go,
so that was spared, but lost a ton of carvings
since I left them behind in the cabin. It was
bad timing as I was away and couldn’t save anything. Now though, some trees are growing back like the ponderosa and lodge pole, fire activated the seed release from cones.
I’m currently working on a rebuild of a new shelter but this time with surrounding materials of rock and wood left over from my dead trees. I’ll try to post some video of my new project along with a prior of the original stick frame cabin.

@@wood-psyche Oh, my heart breaks for you to hear that! I didn't know it took the whole cabin and everything. That had to be so devastating for you.
I'm glad you're able to start rebuilding a bit now.
Would love to see how it's going. Still my heart really goes out to you on that. That's a huge blow to try n recover from.
@@kjirstenboucher9682 Thanks, it’s a first time kind of event for me. It’s ‘burned’ into my psyche, no pun intended. At least I saw it
before the devastation but it’s the painful reminder of once was. At least there is a natural regeneration I’m seeing, like seeing death and rebirth in that order. Again, thanks for your concern/comments.🌞

the way the lighting is plus I smoothed down
the branches to the point of well eroded valleys almost, either way, I’m pleased with the end result, even though without intention.

@@wood-psyche doing pretty good, i still feel some pain when i get out of bed but it does get better every day.
Also gonna check out the new house today. going to school again next week, plan to just go the 1 day on monday. still need a little more rest but i do want to get back into the learning mind set now that the anesthesia finally kinda wore off and all of that.
Anyway, It does look nice, just what i saw when i first saw it finished, could be the lighting too, but cool to see you making some animals now as well, not that i get bored of the faces you carve or anything like that.:D

@@MathieusChainsawCarvings Thanx, glad to hear good news. Maybe you can win this time. It’s not a big item, I kept the size under 1 ft. knowing it might be an overseas winner making it less expensive to ship. Who knows.

@@wood-psyche would be cool to win something ofcourse! i prefer making these kind of things as well for logistic reasons, either for markets or for shipping its nice to keep size down but still have something pretty cool :).
Take your time with the video's can be nice to push them out regularly but it can also be kinda draining, at least it has been for me in the past at times :). sucks now though i cant really do anything but i think im recovering pretty good, have had some extra pain since last week but i did get another x ray to be safe and the picture shows pretty much no difference from the last one from 20 may so thats reassuring. i needed that because i was overthinking and stressing myself out, as i tend to do that :D.
I think i have 1 month to go before i should pick up a chainsaw again, not really worth it risking it and having to start all over as far as recovery goes.
the pain is going away again and the stitches are also out now so it feels a lot better!
Also still havent had a cigarette so thats also going alright.
Hope to be back in business soon!!
