LEVEL-UP - with a MEGA pine knot POWER wood carving
    :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
    ---------
    Hi all,
Focusing on a massive pine knot from my mountain retreat, a survivor from the catastrophic bootleg fire
that burned a half million acres in July 2021.
It has beautiful wood tones that I brought out with
hours of hand polishing with wire(steel)wool.
I think it’s pretty much done but sometimes I go back and modify if I feel the need…
Thanks for stopping by and don’t forget to share, like and subscribe.

Thanks Mike, this was one of the biggest knots I used. You have to adjust face sizes to a bigger chunk of
wood for sure. I’m on the look out always, for this type, kinda hard to find. 🌝!

That is a crazy big pine knot! Great carve, and a beautiful piece. I haven't used my new die grinder or the Kutzall bits I got for it yet, but I will once I can secure my work. I agree, both hands on those is best. I'm saving up for a jawhorse, n hope that will work for all my carving needs, from chainsaw and angle grinder, to diegrinder and Dremel. Hoping to get out and finally find some pine knots this year too.

@@wood-psyche i defo always respond with "im good" whenever someone asks me how im doing, and i am , as a;ways, for the most part. :D
just incapable of doing anything else besides learning these programming languages. Carving is gonna have to wait right now as far as that goes unfortunatly.
loved this video though, a lot of nice knowledge u are sharing in this video. Just dont have the energy right now to apply it but it has registered for sure. will definetly apply some of it, and likely record some of it in the future. but yeah i stopped apolagizing for it as well as promoising stuff i cant deliver on..
Just too much going on, i have to move soon as well because my building is gonna get torn down, and they ofc like to pressure me to move out fast. and dont be mistaken these are some sociopathic people that do this kinda work so thats a battle on its own.... so i have ofcourse started my own process in thiss whole thing..
but aside from everything thats going on im in a good state and i hope i can actually use this crap to my advantage eventually :).
The carving part will return but i basicly dont have the headspace for it right now if that makes sense.
anyway this vid isnt about my issues and moaning about them in the comments
Loved watching your process and really nice how you ellaborate on it, defo a great video. and i took a lot away from this.
will apply once the dust settles :D
Hope you are good too. wish you all the best and keep the vids comming :) ill watch them all!
All the best from the netherlands!

@@MathieusChainsawCarvings Sorry to hear you have to move, looked liked you had a decent work area. Hopefully it’s not difficult
but the timing might be problematic if you’re still going to school.
Pine knots are usually on the smaller side when I find them, but this knot was a monster, most likely something from an old growth tree. I’m looking for more and plan to
      give 1 or 2 away when I reach 2k for a contest.
I’m sure you are coming up with some ideas though for future projects, looking forward to
      seeing your new projects.
Good luck with school, hope you find another house soon (with a workshop!)
      Take care!

@@wood-psyche ah no i dont need to move from there, my work area is at family's place, just have to move from my rental place. they wanna tear it down end of september, just need to get them to pay me off a little more in my advantage so to speak, some bureaucratic stuff still to get through basicly, not really my thing.
Defo been setting some boudaries etc, i will not be pressured, and i defo need more coins if they want me to move out before their deadline ;) haha.. im waiting for some new offer at the moment. and then ill probably still want more hehe
so yeah it may all work out in my advantage, i kinda wanna build a cabin next to the workplace if i can get that all sorted! so that would actually be awesome if it works out.
So no worries my workplace is not in danger! :D
