Scott Bradlee, piano player for Post Modern Jukebox, can play any song that he's heard to any music style. I got the chance to ask him how he holds so many songs in his head. He told me that he doesn't play by memorization, he plays by ear(if he can hear it in his head, he can play it). That blew my mind, and that's why we never see him with sheet music. Brilliant musician.

Only a couple of things here, for your own understanding: A lot of Pentatonix videos get blocked and mostly people don't understand why... Exactly. The reasons can be a lot of things, but the one that is prevalent, is the audio mix of the reactor's mic mixing with the audio of their official video and causing a misrepresentation of the actual song and recording purity. Your video was an absolute perfect example of this, with your microphone and ambient sounds mixing and misrepresenting the music. Please understand this and try to mitigate this in order for your videos to be released earlier by UA-cam.❤

One of my all-time favorite songs done to vocal mastery. Disturbed to me was like the warning of it being here, PTX left a feeling of hope. Both are FANTASTIC!!

Your guess was correct... the lead singer on this recording was Don Henley. The guitarist with the double neck guitar is Don Felder, and the guitarist with the red bandana and the Fender Telecaster guitar is Joe Walsh. As.for suggestion, if you haven't already,.you should check out "Take it To the Limit," featuring the considerable vocal talent of bassist Randy Meisner (also live from 1977). Pure Gold.

"Come Sail Away" is one of their greatest hits, but I ask that if you do that one, please, please do NOT do the live "Official" video, which is an edited down version of the song. When the song was released, there was the full length album version, then the record label decided that they had to cut it down, not once, but twice. Once for a radio version and another time for a single (45 rpm) version. Radio back in the 1970's and early 80's generally did not like to play songs that were longer than 5-6 minutes in length. That way they could squeeze in more songs and more importantly, more money generating commercials into the same hour. So, the radio version was an edited version of the full length version, eliminating the instrumental part in the middle of the song. The single version was to accommodate the 5 minute limit of a 7 inch 45 rpm single. Generally, record companies tried to be under that limit. So, for this version of the song, they not only cut out the instrumental passage, but also the second half of the first verse. So, please, listen to the full album version of the song which runs 6 minutes and 10 seconds. That one also has Dennis DeYoung as the lead singer. Styx had 3 lead singers, Dennis, Tommy Shaw, and James (JY) Young. Other great songs by them are "Crystal Ball" (Tommy sings lead), "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)" (Tommy), "Miss America" (JY), "Blue Collar Man" (Tommy), "Renegade" (Tommy), "Babe" (Dennis), "Too Much TIme On My Hands" (Tommy), "The Best of Times" (Dennis), "Snowblind" (Tommy), "Don't Let It End" (Dennis). And of their solo work, Dennis' "Desert Moon" is excellent. Dennis wanted to take the group in a more theatrical direction and the other members rebelled against that. They kicked him out of the band. I have seen Styx with Dennis and without, and to me, they are worse for their decision to kick Dennis out of the band. I may not have necessarily liked the theatrical direction, but Dennis' voice was stellar (as you saw with his lead vocal on "Lady").

The original, Disturbed's, and this version all paint a different picture using the same song, which I think is a testament to the songwriter. The original is a warning. Disturbed's version is angry that the warning wasn't heeded, and this version is hopeful that we've learned from the past. Check out the original and let me know if you agree! On a technical note, the music video audio was out of sync; their lips were a second or so behind the sound.

Yes, you have to do the original, far better than the 2 covers in my opinion. Also, 3rd time of suggesting, do The Moody Blues - Nights in White Satin, live at The Royal Albert Hall (2000 I think), you also should do the original album version (Days of Future Passed, 1967), there is a 2nd part that isn’t on the live one.
