In 1975 Led Zeppelin announced that they would play 3 concerts at Earl’s Court London. This was the biggest venue available at the time and nobody had managed to sell out the entire hall. The music press said they would be lucky to fill one night, never mind 3 nights. They were wrong. The day after the tickets went on sale Led Zeppelin announced that they would play another 2 nights! I was lucky enough to get tickets but had no idea what to expect. Big bands at the time would play for about 90 minutes with a support band coming on before the main act. Zeppelin played for more than 3 hours without a support, (after all who could support them?) the longest concert was 3 hours 45 minutes. I can still remember the concert from the opening bars of rock and roll which absolutely blew everyone away with the energy.
@chrisbrugma1811 I forgot to mention that my ticket was free! Three of us went to the concert and we had a bet on what would be the opening number. The prize was that the other two paid for the winner's ticket. I chose rock and roll as it seemed to me to be the perfect opening line and it was.
Answer is they are taught to be self-absorbed as a child and pampered and are lazy and not inquisitive. Internet is taking away young children's critical thinking and not taught that when 21 = they are mostly on their own as NO ONE will care about them. Facts!❤😮
@Steve-gx9ot Or maybe some people just had different influences and lived a different life. I was never pampered or self absorbed but I did think that only young people were unnecessarily nasty online behind their screen. Not sure what the internet and people not caring about others has to do with each other but you seem a little jaded. I hope you have good people in your life. The world needs balance. I wish you well (not so) kind sir.
One of the most insane live performances ever captured was Led Zeppelin performing "Since I've Been Loving You" at Madison Square Garden in New York in 1973. Vocalist Robert Plant and guitarist Jimmy Page have an entire conversation throughout the song. Highly recommended; so much so that it's the official video of the song on the Led Zeppelin website. Great reaction.
This is the deepest rabbit hole you could have possibly imagine. Or go down. They never ever had a bad song. They set the standard as far as music, and very versatile to say the least! 😉👀🙏✔️💯😇
ABSOLUTE GODS OF ROCK!!! 🔥🥁🎸🔥. There have been many songs released that can be labelled as “classics”, but this one is a “classic with a capital C” ☝️😉👍
Use to hear this song on the radio in the early 70’s. This was before I knew who Led Zeppelin was and really liked the song then. Now I’m a full fledged fan, box set owner as well❤️❤️
A suggestion, listen on headphones. This song is a good example. With out headphones you miss the sound engineering in the first transition. With headphone you are surrounded and in the middle of the music.
Thank you so very much Darling for playing one of the best songs ever made by one of the best of the rock n' Roll bands ever. Keep up the good work. Have a Blessed Evening. Adios. Please play "Stairway to Heaven" also with Led Zeppelin. L-I-V-E' versions Rule. Thank you. Goodnight.
Led Zeppelin are the one group in the world I WISHED I could’ve seen live in concert but unfortunately, I never got the chance. This is one song that no artist or group could ever come close to generating the electricity & energy that Led Zeppelin gave it 🔥✊🔥
One of the best concerts that I have been to. 🤘🏻🤘🏻 Great choice Definitely try Stairways To Heaven from their Live at Madison Square Garden concert 1973. Considered one of the greatest songs EVER. Then maybe consider Stairway To Heaven by Heart at the Kennedy Center. An amazing tribute to the dreaming members
No need for any shame for not hearing of LZ since 1969. You are learning about their music now and THAT'S what's important! Long live the Zep!!! Welcome to their world!!
Thank you for your first reaction to Led Zeppelin - they have many more great tracks for you to listen and react to! I would like to suggest you do a reaction to a live version of the band Heart performing "Dog and Butterfly". Sorry, I don't have any links or anything, but just search for a live version from the late 70's or early 80's and it will be great!
I’m glad you checked out LED Zeppelin and I enjoyed your reaction. I hope you do more LZ reactions because they have many different types of songs, and only hearing a hard rock song and video doesn’t come near seeing who they are. So if you do more I would recommend Stairway To Heaven live at MSG 1973. It is considered one of the greatest songs in the history of rock music, and this performance has good audio and video quality.
Turned 18 in 1969. I saw at least 15 other bands. Saw Zep 4 times. They never had a warm-up band and always played for more than 3 hours. They always went off on some songs turning a 6-minute song into a 25-minute song. In 1973 at the Garden, Page went off on a solo. John Paul Jones got close to Bonham and you know he said something like," Here he goes again." Jones had a big smile and Bonham laughed and shrugged. Best band ever.
I recommend the same in the live version (1973 Madison Square Garden). It will be a surprise to know this too. In the same place, you will definitely like Stairway to Heaven or Since I've Been Loving You.
Did you have Top of the pops in Aus? It was the theme tune l. You gotta do Stairway to heaven and Since I've been loving you live at Madison Square garden. I grew up listening to my older sister's playing Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Great reaction!

There's so much to choose from with Led Zeppelin, but try Kashmir. There is a live performance video, but I prefer the original recording. maybe you could react to both?
You should check out this song from their 2008 reunion concert, Led Zeppelin - Whole Lotta Love (Celebration Day). The guy playing drums is the son of the original drummer, who passed in 1980. Actually you should check out the whole concert, it's available on dvd.
If you want to continue the Led Zeppelin journey, especially their live performances check out either "Since I've Been Loving You" from MSG 1973, or "In My Time of Dying" Earl's Court 1975. You won't regret it. BTW the 1973 clip is from the feature film "The Song Remains the Same" released in 1976. Led Zeppelin were unparalleled live, and although the band considered the performances at Madison Square Garden only average, they are mesmerizing.
Hi, great reaction, and a great band. You asked for other recommendations. Maybe try getting into Wishbone Ash, a band that started in 1969 and still tour now. A good live start would be Way Down South, live in Paris, then get into some older stuff?
Glad to see Sleeping Beauty finally awakened by the kiss of "Whole Lotta Love". Now you can listen to the rest of Led Zeppelin's extraordinary discography.
You should do a lot more led Zeppelin they have 10 albums. And after the death of their drummer in 1980, they split up for a while. Then Robert plant the lead singer and Jimmy Page lead. Guitarist got back together in '95. Did an album called no quarter and did a tour in 1995 and then they tore it all the way through the '90s into the early 2000s. And in 2007 they got together one more time with John bottoms son on drums and it was absolutely epic. They are The Great est live rock band ever to Grace the stage. It wasn't just one of them. That was good. They were all four Masters of their art and that's what made them so deadly.
Vin, I think she should hear the original studio first, like we did, then see them live to hear what they did different. This is my view on any song from this era.
On a beautiful May night in 1969 I rode my motorcycle out from D.C to Meriweather Post pavilion to experience Led Zeppelin for the first time. They opened for the Who and blew the Who away so badly that they never shared a stage again. After the concert, a girl came up to me on my motorcycle. I was wearing a denim vest, no shirt, and blue jeans. Popular dress for the times. She put her hand on my bare chest, her face in mine and said "I wanna go for a ride". "Sure Sweetheart". She swung a leg over the pillion and some guy said "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!!!???" "Going for a ride" Hell no you ain't!!" He grabbed her and off they went. I guess he was her date for the night. Easy come, easy go. Magical times. I was 19.
Try out "Immigrant Song", "Houses of the Holy" (song, not the album), and for something you won't believe is Led Zeppelin check out "Hot Dog". That one almost caused me to wreck a car late one night after ten hours on the road. For other bands check out Molly Hatchet, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith, or Deep Purple. I think you might enjoy those as well.
How about the biggest band of all time, The Beatles? “A Day In The Life”, “I Am The Walrus”, “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “Here There And Everywhere”, “Eleanor Rigby”, etc. Their catalog of great songs is HUGE. They aren’t generally called the G.O.A.T.s for nothing. P.S. - I love Led Zeppelin too. More of them please.
Good to see someone interested in the best era of music ever!! By the way, were you paying attention to the lyrics? If you were, then you showed great restraint by not commenting on them. I strongly recommend: Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb from the Pulse Concert. Profile Harum Whiter Shade of Pale and A Salty Dog from their concert with the Danish National Orchestra.
Jimmy Page was one of the first to utilize the double necked guitar, first introduced in the late 60s. This led to more and more flashy guitars in rock, eventually leading to Rick Neilson's (Cheap Trick) 5 necked guitar. These guitars were nearly twice the weight of others and not very popular with people with spines.
Keep in mind MTV started in 1981. Before 1980, "Music Videos" was not even a term. Pre-1980, the only options to see bands anywhere other than magazines, were : Television variety shows (Donny and Marie, Sonny and Cher, Midnight Special, Solid Gold, the Tonight Show....), in concert, or sometimes, a band would film themselves playing or lip synching to one of their hits (like the Beatles) to use for television advertising to sell concert tickets. There was no outlet for music videos, so nobody made them. Since the internet wave, FANS have made THEIR OWN videos for bands (most without their knowledge or input) from the 50s- 70s. Bands also would sometimes make movies (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin,.ect) of concerts or comedy skits to get their recognition out there, but video tape wasn't invented until the 70s, and nobody had VCR's until the early 80s. Computers came along in the 90s. Music Video is a "new term" (1981 --now?) Does MTV even have music anymore? I stopped watching in 1994 when "The Real World" was the first "reality" tv show. It had nothing to do with music and they lost me.
You wanted good and significant music from way back. No easy pick! We have pop, rock, pre-metal, prog, blues etc. The music change during the Beatles era and through Beatles from pop/rock into all these genres. Videos was not like today until early 80s. They were in most cases either TV programs or made much later. If want a single Beatles turning point video, there is one similar to the ones of today but contemporary: "Strawberry fields forever"; it is 4:23. A sample of psychedelia would be the Vanilla Fudge's cover of the Supreme's "You keep me hanging on" from TV: Ed Sullivan Show 1968 (4:17) or Jefferson Airplane with "White rabbit" from Woodstock 1969 (2:54 with lyrics). Pre-metal use to be Black Sabbath, like "Paranoid" Belgium 1970 black/white (2:51) and Deep Purple "Child in time" British TV 1970 (9:35) - but I will suggest the very odd hit from the Summer of 1968 from TV "Top of the pops" Arthur Brown singing "Fire" (2:51; bl/w). Another milestone is Frank Zappa's "Peaches en Regalia" instrumental audio from the album "Hot Rats" released 1969. (To be continued...)
Try Whipping Post by the Allman Brothers ( studio - short version) (Live at Fillmore East - long version) This band is shockingly good!!!! Try also Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven - studio version.
Divinyls - I Touch Myself (Official Music Video). Australian rock band. Female lead singer. You may want to check this out even if you don’t do a reaction.
I think that The Beatles might have something to say about that. I absolutely love LZ but without The Beatles, Zep doesn't happen. I will say that The Beatles had two of the best songwriters in rock history but LZ had four of the best musicians ever. Every one of them were masters of their craft. Others may have been as good but nobody has been better.
You just listened to the greatest band that ever gave the world music, every song they do is amazing. Each of the 4 are the greatest at their crafts, & together The GODS Of MUSIC! Robert Plant lead singer & harmonica * Jimmy Page lead guitarist band founder producer & editing * John Paul Jones (JPJ) bass guitar keyboards mandolin etc. * John (Bonzo) Bonham the greatest drummer ever. From their first rehearsal on August 19,1968 to September 25,1980 when sadly the greatest drummer passed away. The band knew they couldn’t continue without their friend John Bonham. Just a few great choices, studio version You Shook Me, amazing blues with 3 solos. Live at Madison Square Garden (1973) Since I’ve Been Loving You, & Stairway To Heaven. Live at Earls Court May 25,1975 is the best version of, In My Time Of Dying, it has the best audio & visuals. Actually anything you would pick is amazing, they master every genre of music, Rock Blues Folk Funk Reggae Prog etc. Thank you for your reaction, & I hope to see many more Led Zeppelin reactions.
What a terrific song! And yet there's almost nothing to it. The verse is just a riff, repeated over and over, and the chorus is the same riff, with the addition of a downward glissando. We get two of each, and then the kinda interesting spacey part. There's the guitar solo, all on the 1 chord, and then we're back to the verse. Everything stops for a solo highlight from Plant, there's a new (!) chord change down to a 4 chord, and then we're back to the verse for a fade out. The verse and chorus employ the same two chords, a 1 and a flat7, both DOM7, and there's that single use of the 4 chord, (I think just a major triad, but it could be a DOM7 chord and I haven't noticed, what with this being a rock 'n' roll song and nearly every chord in a rock 'n' roll song being normally a DOM7), and THAT'S IT! It's been rockin' my socks off since I first heard it in the early '70s. Pure genius. Oh, and I gotta take special notice of all the cave-man drum fills. Utterly satisfying.
Oh, if you are about to discover Iron Maiden, I will sugest you to begin with Iron Maiden - Fear of The Dark - Rock In Rio - Live - 2001, there is an incredible crowd in this video 😉
Hello beautiful lady. I would say that no introduction to Zep is complete without listening to the studio version of Stairway to Heaven. I know that some will say it's been over hyped and over played, but there is a reason why it's considered by many to be the greatest rock song ever. Their catalog is broad and diverse. From When the Levee Breaks for electric blues to Communication Breakdown for radio rock and everything in between they were a band with unsurpassed talent and I could listen to them all day, every dfay.
Please understand that back door man means the man who comes in the back door as you husband is leaving through the front door on his way to work. In other words I want to be your lover.
@sicotshit7068 the 60s and 70s can be a bit confronting as it was before AIDS and comes across as hyper sexual to today's people. It was just a world with fewer risks than today's mess.
@@stephenchigwidden7504 yes I know, I was there through the 60’s & 70’s. It’s just all the new listeners, are shocked by that line, & need the explanation.
Uh, no, that isn't true. I was 16 when that song was released, and all my friends and I knew EXACTLY what those lyrics meant! Only dweebs and nerds thought it was only about being a lover. That's what we told our parents when they overheard us listening to the song. Even Jimmy Page in an interview years later said it meant exactly what we thought it meant.
All I suggest are groups Dire Straits, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, anything by Eric Clapton just a few bands. not a fan of current music, 60's, 70's, 80's, music best time for music.

I suggest you react to Led Zeppelin and their song Stairway to Heaven. There is a good live video if you prefer live over audio only.
Vin, I think she should hear the original studio first, like we did, then see them live to hear what they did different. This is my view on any song from this era.
@@tomroome4118 That is fine. In this case I find the live version to be on par with the studio but I am fine with the audio only.
welcome!
Can’t believe you’re 40! I always assumed you were in your early 30s…. I learn something new everyday:)
Lol. I like you. 😂
I was 19.
Thank you for dispelling nonsense that the Who blew Zeppelin away. Other way around.
Cheers.
Great reaction. You might like Rush , the song "Working Man ". The live version from Cleveland is amazing, especially if you like great guitar work.
The only single or shortened release permitted by them .
You look great young lady.
I haven't been called young in a while 🤣
Hi I'm 70 now I saw them at Earl's court london in 1972 3 nights on the trot my favourite all time band ps the tickets cost £3 each 😂
@@jeffreyconrad8125 Crud. When i saw them in 74 tickets were $8.00
4:53 I still have a similar polar neck grey jumper 🙃
How about the biggest band of all time, The Beatles? “A Day In The Life”, “I Am The Walrus”, “Strawberry Fields Forever”, “Here There And Everywhere”, “Eleanor Rigby”, etc. Their catalog of great songs is HUGE. They aren’t generally called the G.O.A.T.s for nothing.
P.S. - I love Led Zeppelin too. More of them please.
When you listen to Led Zeppelin you need to wear headphones. Trust me❤
That or live someplace where you can crank the volume to 9 or 10.
Good to see someone interested in the best era of music ever!! By the way, were you paying attention to the lyrics? If you were, then you showed great restraint by not commenting on them.
I strongly recommend:
Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb from the Pulse Concert.
Profile Harum Whiter Shade of Pale and A Salty Dog from their concert with the Danish National Orchestra.
Led Zeppelin does not
plug in to amplifiers
Led Zeppelin
plugs in to your Soul ❤
The Who's Young man Blues Live from the Isle of Wight is a great live video
Kashmir live from Celebration Day is next.
U wanna a real live zeppelin concert look at whole Lotta love live 1973 Madison Square garden newyork 😊
Queen's One Vision is absolutely amazing. Probably one of Freddie Mercury's last recording and wow is this a rocker.
For some amazing home grown talent, check out Cold Chisel doing "Wild Thing" live from their Last Stand concert. Jimmy Barnes at his best.
They used a version of this song in the intro to Top of the Pops
We didn't have top of the Pops in Australia
Didn't blush once this music wouldn't be allowed today back when music was started in a garage not a sound studio
By the way, Zeppelin rules! Check out Ten Years Gone by Zep, off of Physical Graffiti.
Try Whipping Post by the Allman Brothers ( studio - short version) (Live at Fillmore East - long version)
This band is shockingly good!!!! Try also Led Zeppelin - Stairway to Heaven - studio version.
A subtle, delicate ballad.
🤣🤣🤣
@@SwiftReactions What in the world could this song be about?

It Hurts Me Too 😊😊
My suggestion English blues rock
Divinyls - I Touch Myself (Official Music Video). Australian rock band. Female lead singer. You may want to check this out even if you don’t do a reaction.
You should try RUSH, the song Tom Sawyer.
You probably know the sound from the signature tune to Top of the Pops.
Led Zeppelin are the most important band in Rock n Roll history.
❤❤❤❤
Live at Earls Court
May 25,1975 is the best version of, In My Time Of Dying, it has the best audio & visuals. Actually anything you would pick is amazing, they master every genre of music, Rock Blues Folk Funk Reggae Prog etc. Thank you for your reaction, & I hope to see many more Led Zeppelin reactions.
Welcome to the rabbit hole that is Led Zeppelin. England's finest export since the Beatles.
"Kashmir" is a journey all it's own.
All time greatest live performance…………Sultans of Swing- live performance- Alchemy Live !
GOAT
Ozzy reaction
Nice
❤
Hello beautiful lady. I would say that no introduction to Zep is complete without listening to the studio version of Stairway to Heaven. I know that some will say it's been over hyped and over played, but there is a reason why it's considered by many to be the greatest rock song ever. Their catalog is broad and diverse. From When the Levee Breaks for electric blues to Communication Breakdown for radio rock and everything in between they were a band with unsurpassed talent and I could listen to them all day, every dfay.
Yes I will have to check that out. Thanks for the advice. 🍻
Please understand that back door man means the man who comes in the back door as you husband is leaving through the front door on his way to work. In other words I want to be your lover.
Yes I was going to say the same thing, I saw her look change. Though it’s a great song, not always the best first song for newbies to hear.
@@markritter3013 I believe you & your friends were wrong. I’d love to know the interview, that Page said what you think it meant.
All I suggest are groups Dire Straits, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers, Allman Brothers, anything by Eric Clapton just a few bands. not a fan of current music, 60's, 70's, 80's, music best time for music.
they dont make em like they used to !!! i feel sadness for the younger generation to have not grown up with bands like this....
