Good morning my friend, the engine looked stunning, and as for the propeller it was outstanding, congratulations on a job well done thus far, looking forward to the next update soon, best regards from Australia, Les
Thank you so much, Les. The new update will be in couple of weeks, it took a bit longer to build it than I had expected. I was busy with racing recently
I'm always amazed at your attention to detail. I thought the wood effect on the prop worked out really well. Cant wait for the next upload!
Thank you very much, Trevor.
Very nice work. Model on.👍
Thank you very much!
Engine and prop look great. If you don't mind me asking, what are you using for your black wash?
Thank you, I use some kind of ''no name" wash, that I purchased many years ago and I don't remember its name, the bottle is so old that there is no name as well...
really interesting the drills out of needles.
Thanks, yes it's very easy to make, just insert a small drill bit in to a needle and use a super glue to fix it
Could anybody tell me what the product 'future' is, that is sprayed on the oil paint please?
Of course, Mike. Future is a product for wooden floors to make them shine, like this www.amazon.ca/Johnson-11182-27Oz-Pledge-Futureshine/dp/B000ARPH4C
Many thanks, I'm going to try and do the Eduard 1/48 scale kit in this colour scheme.
No worries, and good luck with your build!!!
Incredible. A superb tutorial and a work of art. I want to try it soon. Thank you.
Thank you Thomas, sure you need to try, only one thing, I started to use brass tubes, instead of medical needles and it's easier and faster to cut them
Is that superglue your using?
yes, I use both Super glue and Tamiya cement
When I see your notification I know I'm in for a treat and am never disappointed, Oleg. Another great start to another terrific build series! I feel your frustration with the rigging at times.....lots of breath-holding going on I'm guessing. I was surprised to see so many parts from a Roden kit but they need to do something about the quality of their plastic. Onwards to part 2!
Thanks Rob! Usually rigging is nice and smooth process, but there is always that one line that doesn't want to fit in to a brass tube, it happens.... For Roden, I believe the main issue is that they make plastic molds under low pressure, but WnW did with high, also, the plastic itself has to be changed. But I'm not an expert in it lol
@@FlyingCircusModels You are right....maybe to save costs. Roden is still continuing while WnW aren't.....they were a victim of low pricing of their models and high overheads....it's a shame but that's life I guess.
I think WnW had to close, bc the market for 1/32 WW1 models is way to small, yes the quality is awesome, but there are not a lot of WW1 plane funs for such price. At the same time, Roden is cheaper and produces not just WW1 planes. They have 1/72, 1/48, 1/35 planes, cars, buses, armor and other models, that helped them survive.
Another great start to a build by the Master WWI aircraft modelling, your work is absolutely outstanding, looking forward to the next update soon, best regards from Australia, Les
Thank you, Les!!
Wiring the Spad will be quite complex. The cockpit looks good, a promising start! I'm waiting for the next video.
Thanks, Richard, why do you think rigging will be hard? because of double crossing in the middle strut?
@@FlyingCircusModels yes, that's exactly what I mean.
I don't think it will be a huge issue, but we will see ;-)
I have that kit and I’m looking forward to building it looking at what you’ve done makes me really wanna work on it some time in the near future you’ve done a beautiful job
Thank you so much, and good luck with your build
What brand are the drill bits? They are longer & more flexible than the ones I see online.
it's just regular small size drill bits, that you can by on-line, I just glued them in to a medical needle
@@FlyingCircusModels OK thanks. Seems like you have access to all kinds of medical paraphernalia
I used to have before, but no longer and use my old supplies
Another great video. Looking forward to seeing how this project comes along. Thanks for the time you are taking to share your craft.
Thank you so much, Trevor for watching!!!
Damn. That rigging requires an upper level of focus. Not sure I could do that.
I believe that every one can do it, it just looks complicated, you need to practice and will be able to
Hello Oleg, I'm looking forward to this series; I have a Roden SPAD XIII kit in my stash, and your video will be very helpful. I was surprised to see that rigging gave you some issues, at least for a few minutes. Perhaps it was the coffee? 😉 But you definitely had your mojo back when you put in the cockpit control cables. Yesterday was 4 steps forwards, 4 steps backwards for me while rigging my SE5a... not a good day, but I hope to turn that around this weekend. Maybe I need to change my brand of coffee eh? You'll be happy to know I am using my nifty Flying Circus Models coffee mug. In fact I'm enjoying a big mug of coffee right now. Model on my friend.
Thanks, Mark. I believe the problem was with the brass tube, perhaps the cut wasn't clear, that's why I wasn't able to put the line back. That's great that you enjoy the mug and good luck with your rigging!!!
You are such a master of WW I aircraft builds!
Thank you so much, I really like WW1 era
Nice Bird, man! 1/32 is such a nice scale for detail..
Thanks, yes I know, I can't imagine doing the same in 1/72 )
This is a wonderful build! I wish that I could do what you have done? Maybe someday. Thank you for sharing your skill!
Thank you so much, I'm sure you will, it just seems too complicated. Good luck!!!
Another great build,I'm eager to know what is the next one?We WW1 modellers are not well served on you tube.
Thank you Stephen, I wish we had more people interested in WW1 planes. The next project is going to be (according to my plan) SPAD XIII
I was really looking forward to seeing you tackle this build, as it and the Roland C.II were the two WnW kits at the top of my list. Glad to see how well it turned out!
Thank you for the feedback. I think I will plan Roland for the next year (but not sure ;-) )
Thanks for the lesson
You're more than welcome, Steven. Thank you for watching!
She looks Awesome!!!!! Nicely Done!!!! Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much Michael!!!
Do you wear an optloop when doing the rigging?
no, I still can do it without any extra glasses or other devices
I've been waiting for this episode and it's a beauty! Fantastic result and a prize-winner for sure, Oleg. It must have been a pleasure to build just as much for us to watch. Thanks again for sharing your skill and dedication in building WW1 aircraft :)
Thank you so much, yes I really enjoyed the build, well as any other WnW projects, they are very well designed
F/ing impressive. One of the best I’ve seen.
Thank you so much, Gary!!!
Beautiful. I have the late version AEG because I have a thing for nightfighters and night intruders, but the camo pattern on yours is very attractive.
Thank yo Ronald, i would like to build the night version as well, but the problem is with the size and price...
@@FlyingCircusModels I feel your pain. Bought a few WnW kits over the years but when the company closed its doors, the prices of the kits that I wanted, put them out of my reach. I still hope WnW will revive itself someday.
right, I'm ok if it will be some kind of Chinese company, like Meng with their Dr.1
@@FlyingCircusModels the Meng Dr.1 has its issues but I’ll take what I can get because current prices for WnW kits have gone crazy and are still rising.
While it's nice that Meng have entered the 1/32 scale market for Great War airplanes, I'm happier with the recent offerings in that market from the new owners of Copper State Models.
That's a magnicient result - many congratulations on a museum class model. Look forward to your next project!
Thank you Trevor. According to my plan for the year - it will be SPAD XIII
Mega!
Thank you, Christian!
Another stunning build, very well done.
Thank you so much!
Very impressive, you should be very proud with yourself!! Will you be taking this to any shows for display/completion's. p.s. the propellers look damn real!!
Thank you, yes I took it for the recent CAMS model show in Fredericton, NB and this model won The best in class and The best among equal (when other modellers vote)
A brilliant build. Your camo scheme, top and bottom is very striking. Did you use CA glue for attaching the struts? Cheers!
Thank you so much, Mark. yes I used some small drops of CA, but I don't think you will need to, because those struts come very tight to their holes
One Word. "Stunning".
Thank you, David!!!
Exceptional result, camo scheme is outstanding!!
Thank you so much!!
Fantastic! That thing is huge.
Thanks, ohh it definitely is, I can only imagine what box size I will have to find for Felixstowe :-)
One of the things that I like about the AEG G.IV is that it was relatively compact for a twin engine, German bomber of the Great War. The far more famous Gotha G.IV is about 1/3 larger. And can you imagine a company offering a Zeppelin-Staaken in 1/32 scale? It would be over twice the size of the AEG!
Greetings my friend, the AEG G IVhas turned out a absolute stunner, it certain would have been a giant of an aircraft in real life, you certainly have done great justice to the kit, congratulations on a great effort, best regards from Australia, Les
Thanks Les, yeah when I saw the real plane at Museum - I was impressed by the size, that's for sure. However, Lancaster was much bigger and, taking into account the difference in 30 years, it impressed me more
Bravo!
Thanks
Excellent work - I have the late version (night schemes) to hand but I’m waiting until I move to a bigger place before I crack it open. It wouldn’t fit on my current work bench!
Oh, yes, this bird is big, not as big as B-17 or Lancaster in 1/32, but still. Good luck with your build
Fantastic work. I absolutely enjoyed this build.
Thank you David, it's a real fun to build the model
Superb. Very realistic. The wooden area's a so realistic.
Amazing as always.
I too am 100 percent in support for everything Ukrainian. Ty for posting this and I subscribed too
Thank you so much, Richard. That's the least what we can do - is to support small business of the country in war
Amazing work as always
Thanks David
Beautiful build of one of my favourite aircraft. I really wished I'd bought the Wingnut version back when it was readily available. I built the Roden 1/48 many years ago and you can imagine how much fun I had trying to get Roden decals to conform to the corrugations! Let's put it this way, a LOT of setting solution, cotton buds and even a hairdryer were used. Turned out alright in the end, although nowhere near as good as this
Thanks Mike, yeah i wouldn't even try to apply Roden decals to that surface, I would mask and paint as much as I could, but if you were able to win the fight with the decals - awesome!!!
Greetings my friend, thst motor looks absolutely outstanding, the propeller also looks fantastic, looking forward to the next update, bestvregards from Australia, Les
Thank you so much, Les, cheers!
That is beautiful work you’ve done there. I really like your technique with painting the propellers.
Thanks Mike. As you can see it's not so complicated, everyone can do it ;-)
Looking awesome! Very nice work.
Thanks
