These walk-arounds are great. There's so much that youmiss or can't see when you have to stay outside the prohibted area. Besides yourself, the museum staff deserves a huge thank-you, for allowing us to see these planes up close.
Actually, 10347/18 is one of the seven surviving original Fokker DVIIs. It is the only surviving example of a Fokker Built DVII. 10347/18 was disassembled in the 70's for restoration by Joe DiFiorie but he died during the restoration leaving the plane in pieces for years. It took years of research to get it restored to it's original factory condition.
Thanks again for the walk-around, it's always interesting to see these WW1 planes close up, especially details such as the rigging etc. Definitely turning the white DVII into something much more interesting is my preference (and I'm guessing yours, too!). Any thoughts when you might be tackling this build????
Saving this walkaround for reference. It’s a replica plane but this is a great starting point and I’m sure Jackson’s company is a stickler for detail. 😊 Please no, not the Herman “Boring” white one. 🤣
Fantastic video. How about you hand paint the lozenge design to copy the plane in the video.......ha ha ha.....maybe not the white one either.....something interesting sounds just the way to go. Looking forward to it.
Thanks, I'm a very patient person, but not to that extend - to mask and paint lozenge haha, I already have an idea about more interesting version, not Herman "Boring"'s lol
Thanks for that awesome walk-around.

Thanks, I agree the museum staff is very nice and polite - you always can get a permission if you ask
Fabulous walk around. Great up close photos for modellers of the canvas stitching and seaming. Thanks so much for that. Love your channel.
Thank you so much!
That is a fantastic looking aircraft, thanks for sharing this visit, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia 👌👍👌👍👌👍
Brilliant 👍
Thanks, John

Its been years since I was at the aviation museum in Ottawa, time to go again. Great video.
yes, it's always great to come back and see how the place changed or didn't change ))
Another great and really useful video. Thanks!
Thanks Trevor
Amazing early piece of engineering.
Indeed it is
The Fokker DVIIf but not in the White Livery- something more colors full is my vote, please. Great walk around, Oleg. Thank you.
Thanks Mark, I already have an idea about more interesting version

Thanks, I'm in the process of planning my build schedule for the next year and, according to it, this plane might be built in summer time
If so, then something to look forward to watch this summer :)
