Something on the charging- the TREG setting changes the value that the charging IC self regulates to. You can adjust the TREG temperature higher than the default 80C which *might* help sustain the charging speed (worth testing, maybe with the shell open). The problem with increasing TREG is your shell has to be able to withstand the temperatures. For mine I leave it at 80C because my shell is just PLA. I don't know what the PCBway resin can withstand, but of course only do what you are comfortable. When speaking on the PD2, Aurelio has said in the discord that the chip itself can withstand the higher temperature settings. I'd assume the PD3 is the same way but just something to think about.

So it looks like the Retrotink is pretty comparable. But handles resolution switching and jitter/deinterlacing better.

You sodered the audio connection the wrong way. when you look at the board and the jamma connector is at the bottom the black audio wire should be on the right and the red on the left. you should test you sound, you probably have left and right switched.

You need more grounding between pd, pms and mobo for the reset issue

I’m poor and always super late to gaming stuff so by the time I can do stuff it’s over saturated with awful totally not helpful “tutorials” or “upgrades” I either can’t do or don’t trust. (Don’t have internet and even if I did I don’t really trust relying on Wi-Fi for something like this.) Thanks so much for a followable, honest guide. I’m hoping to get a capture card (and possibly new 3ds) for Xmas this year and install it as a present to myself and it’s getting harder and harder to find install tutorials for the hard mod version like this.

Does the lava rgb kit include any ports for video out? Or do I need to get a genesis 2/Saturn/snes style connector separately to use this at all?

I prefer ultimatemisters BliSTer for USB, just way more simpler. Also works with LLAPI cores if you are in to that.

will this still have the same rebind and customization capabilities as the other blue retro devices. If so this will be a game changer as I have been looking for a device for OG Xbox that has that kind of flexibility

I'm glad I pulled this up. I did a macro mod with Helders Audio PCB and a boxy pixel case. I thought I had messed something up since the first time I assembled it. I jammed the audio slider, and was worried because after i fixed it I didn't want bring the audio over 1/3.

GenX gamers= i finally got an OSSC 7.1 as a surprise gift from wife. ~Reason= i no longer want to have the 55" Samsung 1080p Component FlatPanel in The Game Cave.. I thre away the SOny Trintron Wega(180 Akward LBS) TO THE POINT= I don't think the OSSC looks better then Component Cables (PSYCLONES) str8 to PS2... Wife said the words don't look as bloody/drippy on the OSSC.. ~SO SHE ASKED THE QUESTION= Is it suppose dto make it HD or just a high quality converter to HDMI.. The OSSC for sure is smaller then a monster Samsung TV(That i paid $1200 in 2013) Here's what the OSSC destroyed in quality. It destroyed those simple cheesy converters that are $15 bucks on ebay. ~It destroys the $60 dollar upgraded model ~Lastly it 100% is superirior to the Backwards PS3. I accidentally bought the garbage backwards PS3 EMULATOR MODEL. Not the god level Emotion CHip that people rave about.. ~~So i can't compare ossc to EMotion chip PS3 for PS2 quality.... ~I did hook up two PS2's on sep TV.s both on start screen of NHL 2002 Here's wher ei have a important question.. I never bothered even putting batteries into the OSSC remote cause it sounded stupid to me. Until i learned that all the settings are there. I don't need a profile for this/that setting.. IS THERE A QUALITY BUTTON ONLY THE REMOTE CAN TOGGLE ON??? My Bottom line is The OSSC is great for someone wanting quality and to save space.. Neat project, but why does it require an expensive FPGA instead of a cheap Pi Zero, Atmega, Arduino, etc? It seems like a project just to market the "Spartan-Edge" more than anything else, but maybe there is some very specific reason it requires an FPGA that I am not aware of. BTW, I understand this is not necessarily a question for the youtuber, just a general question about the project.
