wow Pico is changing the entire landscape of modding I have not seen such big shift ever since modding my c64 in late 80s. I can't wait to see cut down Pico in retro handhelds

And I fully agree with your last point: availability! Different mods means more options to source parts! And also motivates Modders to create new stuff!
The HDMI mods really seem exciting for me this year. I'm really curious to see what the PS2Digital and DCDigital will look like especially with that 1440p scaler. I wish there was more recorded capture of the new DCDigital HW2 Mod on UA-cam at that resolution.
Dustin has uploaded pics on Discord for an RGB ring for the translucent Xboxes. Curious if that's one of the unannounced products. We def need as many HDMI kits as possible. Options are good for consumers. Between Pixel FX and MakeMHz, us retro nerds are blessed these days.
i assume that the blue retro for dreamcast fixes the whole breaking the controller boards fuse when plugging in a new controller when the console is on. i never do that on my dreamcast personally lol
Ah, Lunar New Year, good ol' _Moonpocalypse..._ 🤣 I find that every year my internal muse kicks into high gear _just in time_ to coincide with Shenzhen turning into a ghost town for LNY, immediately killing any momentum on the nascent projects. 😭
These HDMI mods can go on in eternity. Im all good with hooking it up to a good upscaler. Now upsccalers are more needed because alot of newer tv's no longer have the ports needed. Maybe solderless. I don't want to solder anything really. There are so many ports on these consoles, and they couldn't figer something out. Meh solder i hear is better idk. I still think the mode is a way to go. Hope for a update. for SATERN and Dreamcast. They should just get emulation more accerate and better to run on most hardware. I kinda don't like alot of stuff. Retro consoles may be from another home, other peoples home smells.

We definitely need HDMI mod for PS2 and an ODE that allows you to keep the disk drive for other disk based consoles.

Fully agree with new mods coming out that already had solutions. If society functioned this way, we would still all be driving Model-T's ;)
