Nice it looks like you had a great day. It’s awesome to see you hanging out with Ben. And when you were at the mall when you were asked to take a picture with those individuals that is awesome. I find it quite interesting how myself as an American man find Asians to be very exotic. And a lot of Asians find Americans to be exotic. And like you said it can be quite flattering. I've seen actual penguins in the waters off Puerto Monte, Chile. They would swim down in the water hundreds of feet to get sardines.

I didn't see you walking down through the city, and all the little shops everywhere. If you didn't get a chance to go there. I hope you go back and spend the night and just walk all through the little areas of the city.

I visited Quebec City last summer with a tour group. That just reinforced that I am seriously a solo traveler. I hated being herded around with a group of people. I'm planning to go back in the fall and meet up with the tour guide. Who was wonderful? Hire him for a day tour of ile de' Orleans. I'm going to be staying at a little auberge near the Chateau Frontenac. I loved your video. It brought back sweet memories of walking those streets in this charming city.

Cruising through Asia looks so fun!

Looks beautiful, especially since this ship is ancient by modern cruise ship standards. NCL seems to have done a great job with maintaining and renovating this ship.

Do you usually always tell people you're travelling solo? Or do you sometimes feel it's safer to make up stories of why you're alone at that moment and that the person you're travelling with is sick in the cabin or something? Do you frequently bump into the same people you've spoken to before?

Just came across your vlog series for this cruise. I'm taking a South America/Antartica cruise in February 2025. Very similar itinerary. My big question is about the thermal suite on the Star. Since you've done several NCL cruises, did you find the thermal suite package on the Star worth the money? I read conflicting reviews about it and value your opinion about it. Thank you.

I appreciate your pleasant calm voice and attitude even when things don't go as planned. I am also that kind of solo traveler... Changes to my plans just mean that I will be looking for a plan b...it's all a blessed adventure not all are able to take. i started binge watching your previous videos. i'm trying to share your channel with as many people as I know so that you can keep traveling and other people can enjoy your travels also. Thanks for taking the time to share your adventures.

When I travel solo I use a lotion applicator ( with an extended arm ) to reach my back. I always use cream sun screen anyway. Super convenient for getting those hard to reach places.

It's very good for people to see that.Things don't always go as planned on a cruise, and you really just need to make the best of it. sometimes just realizing you are safe and on a beautiful ship and just enjoy that. oftentimes on a cruise win. There were a lot of port stops.I didn't get off the ship but stayed on the ship and just enjoyed being there.

Nice first day. I went to most of those places, but it was with the US Navy in 1982. Argentina was fighting with the UK over the Falkland islands, so we couldn't see that. All the waters around the islands were mined! We stopped in punts del este and took a bus over to Monte video. Stayed in Brazil a bit and enjoyed Copa cabana beach and Ipanema beach. I'll be watching the rest of this trip as I subscribed.

Glad to see this video! What did you use to get to Keelung port? I read that public buses can be used. What’s the EARLIEST time to embark the ship? What’s the LATEST time to disembark? Does the NCL ship card have a hole on the upper side to easily attach to a lanyard?

On my trip 31st May we did not call on Amsterdam either it is an expensive port, not sure they actually secured a berth? I checked on my ship app and the sister ship and others had docked ?.? It was one of the most important reasons for booking the trip. We were refunded a small amount

I tried to look up about the 'stabilizers' for Norwegian Spirit, but I couldn't find a definitive answer. Because it is an 'older' ship (the first ship of its class to boot), she may have one set of "static stabilizers" which are not as efficient as "gyroscopic stabilizers"? Also the stabilizers are all the more efficient, the faster the ship goes. If the ship had to slow down because of the sea state (or even because the next port was a short distance away and they had to 'waste' time at sea), it would have diminished the effectiveness of the stabilizers.

I will be Norwegian to Alaska on Sept 2026, on May 2026 going princess to Copenhagen 7 day cruise, this the one that concern me it will be my first time alone in Southampton, princess will help me with hotel in the area, an the flight hopefully I can find a straight fly from Austin, have you done any cruises to Europe, next one I am planning is Holland cruise to Norway 2027, waiting on those days to show,

Great video, and excited for the new series! I am going on my second ever cruise in a week (to the Canary Islands). Was planning to go for the holiday season, but was too late in trying to book the cruise. Next holiday season I plan to spend cruising in any case! Anyways, looking forward to the rest of this series, exotic places for an European like myself!

We really were impressed with the Halloween food decorations on our west coast cruise on the Jewel. NCL does a great job making the various holidays special.

I look forward to your videos from this cruise. I sailed NCL Gem December 2021 and NCL Getaway December 2023 and I thoroughly loved the gingerbread holiday displays they had on their ships.
