Aaah love the waterfall, so glad you got the umbrella 🎉cheers , for kind people out there , so much needed! That SPA, made me want to book a cruise right now! If anyone books a cruise on Prima after this videos, you deserve a commission! Great job Mer! ❤
The first day of the cruise, I asked guest services if I can access the Studios Lounge, even though I'm not staying in a studio cabin but I am traveling solo and I was denied! 🤣 So it's great that they gave you access!
I just saw that in your boarding day video! I actually didn't have to request it, because I booked the cabin category "Solo Balcony" so access was automatically included. As long as you book a cabin in either Studio, 'Solo Inside', 'Solo Oceanview 'or 'Solo Balcony', then you will have access to the Studio Lounge! Those categories are now available on ALL of NCL's ships, but of course there aren't studio lounges on every ship, only the larger ships have them. Hope you had a great cruise regardless!
@@MerCruisesSolo That makes sense! Mine was just a 'regular cabin' so that's why I did get automatic access! My cruise was amazing, I loved the ship a lot and it's so interesting seeing the same ship through your eyes 😁 I'm enjoying your series, Meredith!
@@TravelWithBen121 thank you! And ditto - just watched your Zeebrugge episode and had some laughs. You were lucky with good weather! I ended up staying on the ship 😂
I heard it was missed all last season, such a bummer for everyone doing this cruise last year! I really enjoyed Isafjordur, you can definitely tell the port area is in progress of being built up quite a bit; when it's finished I think it will be a really lovely port (even more so than it is already!)
@@lorimcnally9756 I did actually film my packing process, so once I get the rest of the cruise videos up I will consider posting the packing video. I didn’t know if anyone would be interested in it! 😆
Once again, Thanks Mer for sharing such a great video . Go figure such rugged terrain could be so beautiful. Who makes those water proof boots you were so happy with?
Ugh! So jelly! You're doing so great and are covering everything so well! So stoked to see the rest of the vlogs! I definitely have to do this itinerary! Thanks so much
Thanks for taking us with you to see those beautiful falls. 😊 You were a trooper, dealing with the wind and rain. I know all about the value of good boots for the rain, and hopelessly wet hands. I saw your previous vid too. That ship....she's beautiful! Thanks again for another great vid.
We booked that tour through Viator (Prima sailing is early July), and I'm REALLY hoping we make it back in time! It's a 1:00 tour, 3 1/2 hours, and the ship leaves at 6. Back on board time should be 4:30, maybe? That's cutting it so close. There's only a 9:00 option left if I change our booking, but since we arrive at 8am, not sure if the tour bus would leave without us if we're late getting off the ship. I want to do that tour! Thanks for showing us the whole thing, and I wish it had been nicer weather for you. I wasn't going to pack my hiking shoes, but now I'm rethinking that.
I think you would be fine with the 9am option, there really didn’t seem to be many lines or congestion getting off the ship, if I recall they had at least two gangways open so it was easy to disembark. Even if you do stick with the later option, I think you’ll have plenty of time. All aboard is half an hour before departure, so in your case it would be 5:30 if the ship leaves at 6.
@@MerCruisesSolo Thanks for responding! Enjoying your videos from this trip and I've subscribed! I changed it to the 9:00 tour, and not sure why I thought back onboard time was 1 1/2 hours before sail away. Sheesh! Thanks again!
The difference in weather! I was on the same cruise as Ben and we were sunbathing in this port - well, sitting out in the sun on deck anyway. We were very lucky with the weather. The weather does play into tje landscape though - looks great.
Excellent video! I'll be on the same trip onboard the Prima during September, 2025, so now I know what to expect. I'm a bit worried about the goat track though. My wife says forget about it, but I'll give it a go for sure.
I feel for you, because Dynjandi is one of the most impressive waterfalls in Iceland ... and then to get soaked the moment you leave the bus. We had the luck of visiting that area in sunshine, though we did finally get soaked when we hiked all the way to the main falls and got too close for some great pictures.
Such a shame your visit to Dynjandi was hampered by rain. My wife and I were there last month, and while it was foggy, it was dry. And the fog lifted so we could see the entire falls and hiked all the way to the base of the big one!
@@KGold53 wow, that sounds lovely! I’ll just have to go back and visit again someday!

It's such a shame, you book your cruise and the weather lets you down. But your not beaten and good for you. Iceland still has a stark beauty about it. We flew to Iceland in March from Bristol in the UK to try and see the norhtern lights - no chance, rain, sleep snow, some clear nights but not northern lights. Loved your video. Thank you so much!! Fortunately I did get wonderful weather for the next port, and it was an amazing day 😊 it’s hard to have a bad day in a beautiful place, no matter what the weather is like!
I just got back a few weeks ago, so end of May/early June! I would say pack hiking boots and a rain jacket, but some of the days were very nice, warm and sunny, so it’s a mix - I would suggest to bring plenty of layers!
Yes, there really weren’t any restrictions on where you could walk, as far as I could tell. They were walking behind the ropes to avoid the puddle on the main path
This was a missed port for us on Prima last August. So delighted to "visit" the very wet, but still very lovely Isafjordur! What a fantastic waterfall experience!
