The good thing about the dynamic pricing is that you can get it for pretty cheap depending on the ship/sailing you're on. I was able to get it for $108 USD per person. I thought it was worth it to be able to have the heated pool (especially during the winter months) and then for the specialty lunch because it's basically all you can eat lobster and filet mignon along with all of the sides and deserts that aren't available on the rest of the island
Hey there! South Jersey Girl here-Although I’m not a solo cruiser, I really enjoy your content and share your love of cruising. I’m excited to see your Asian content; hopefully I will one day be able to visit that part of the world. Safe travels!🙂
@@MerCruisesSolo The Oasis Class ships are just stunning and offer a wide variety of activities and food options. I haven't dabbled in the Icon class yet but soon enough. Thanks for your videos on NCL Prima for Iceland/South Hampton. It prepared me for the trip we took last July. The Prima is my favorite NCL ship
Love your content. i would have to agree with you. $150 beach day, nah not worth it. Have a blast on your Asian cruise. Can't wait to see your adventures. Merry Christmas
I never met a private island that I liked very much. It's been 10 years since I've visited one, though, and it looks like Coco Key is more elaborate....and no tendering, so, that's a plus. I don't know if I could mentally handle a 3 nighter. Keep up the good work, Merideth. I think you're helping people with your vids. 🙂
Great video Meredith. I just finished a 4-night cruise on Celebrity Equinox. This was my first Celebrity experience and I loved it! I've sailed NCL, Royal Caribbean and Princess. While Princess is still my favorite...so far...I liked Equinox enough to book another cruise on her. 🙂 Thanks for the advance look at the Solstice class. Cheers!
Love Coco Kay, never paid for beach club or the adult area. Last time we had two Oasis class ships in port but was not too busy. Next time spend the money on Jet Skiing, I was a novice but they look after you well and you will remember for longer than beach club
I lost you but now have you back! UA-cam is driving me nuts! Anyway I’m enjoying your Asian cruise. I may take it in the future! I cracked up that you & Ben are on the same cruise! Small world!
Great video, Mer! Utopia looks massive 😮 the quiet is nice at the Coco Beach Club but it’s a shame the weather cut your time short! Your Asia cruise sounds so fun! 🤩
Loved this video! Watching it again. Loved the beach and beach club. And also enjoyed the ship horns! Love catching it on video! Do Icon next November. E. Caribbean!
Taking my first ever cruise in April, solo of course! Ive slways done solo traveling on land. Will finally conquer the sea (🤞🏾🤞🏾 no sea legs!) will be on the Celebrity Beyond 7d6n. Contemplating if I should get the coco cay hideaway club (maybe nt). But all I know is, I cant wait!
Such a wonderful video, Meredith. Thank you for all the work you do to show us these experiences. Looking forward to your videos from your upcoming trip. Merry Christmas and a very happy new year to you ❤️💚
Great vlog! Will be there on Celebrity in August. Didn't know you're from NC. I'm from Eastern NC but live in the DMV. I lived in the Philly suburbs (Montgomery County) for 15 years. I usually cruise from Sept to April to avoid the cold and snow.
@@iriswagstaff thank you! Yes, I’m from Asheville but have lived in Philly about 12 years now. I like to cruise during the winter months as well, especially because it’s summer in so many other places around the world 😊 enjoy Celebrity!
Great video Mer! Never been to Perfect Day, hopefully one day… you Asian cruise sounds super awesome! I cant wait to see that vlog!! I do agree with you with the bigger cruise ships, i cant even watch videos, thei are so big i feel overwhelmed , like so much to see and do, so many places and areas to go, i feel like I won’t have enough time. But i guess it depends on what type of cruiser you are and im that cruiser that goes to enjoy new places, stare at the sea and get some good rest and relax time. I dont want to pack my days with endless activities , places to go etc. so, i would love a transatlantic on this big ships so you have plenty of sea days to experience the ship.
@@Valerieesquilin thank you! 😊 I agree with you… they are just too big and too much like a shopping mall for me, I really don’t think it will be my vibe at all but I’m willing to give it a try if I can find a deal! I’m very much all about relaxation and nice lounge areas with good music and good food, as long as I have that I’ll be happy 😄
I enjoy your videos! Was just at Coco Cay on the Reflection in October. As a solo traveler I would suggest Hideaway Beach, it has the DJ and the party vibe BUT it has a secluded area also close to the beach and no kids! The food was delicious also! The pool was the same. Also the price was 1/3 the price you paid, just a thought for next time.
I haven’t done CoCo Beach club. It definitely doesn’t look worth the price. I enjoyed Hideaway Beach Club and came away feeling like it was worth the price. The party doesn’t get started until the afternoon, so if you get out there as early as you did, Hideaway can be just as relaxing and have as good of service as you experienced. Then by the time the party starts and you have had a few drinks, you can join in, find a quieter part of the area which there are plenty of quiet spots away from the party in the main pool, or go back to the ship or elsewhere on the island.
Mer, I’m so excited to know that you are going to my homeland Taiwan, and to be on a cruise departing from Keelung ( NCL Spirit homeport ) I wish I could be there to do so someday. Looks like you are going to spend Xmas eve in Kaohsiung, which is the second major city in Taiwan. Looking forward to see your exotic journey from the other side of the world 😊
Hi Mer... I think you may have been at the Martini Bar at the wrong time. I've been on the Reflection 3 times in less than a year, and the Martini Bar is my all-time favourite place to hang out and meet people. Each night at 8:00 pm is when the bartenders start their show of flipping bottles and such. It only lasts for 5 or 10 mins, but it does take place each night at 8:00 pm.
@@TravelsbyTeena this is good to know! Of course only being onboard for 3 days I definitely won’t catch everything, so I did miss any shows they may have had there. It does seem like they do more regular events at the Martini Bar on the Edge class ships but I still very much enjoyed Reflection!
Hi Mer....yet another great video...Thanks for showing all the options and things available. Going on virgin Cruises Resilient Lady in January.....have you been on a Virgin cruise? Any advice for a solo?
