Hi, Mer. I always appreciate when you show menus slow enough to see the offerings. Thanks for all your tips. I'm enjoying your solo travel videos! PS...Love your dress! 🙂
Hello Mer. I think you will enjoy the Reflection. It is a chill ship. I have sailed on her before and am going on an 8 night cruise on her in March. Enjoy...
Great video and even better timing. 👍 Two weeks ago I found a last minute deal on Equinox...another Solstice Class...on a 5-day Bahamas trip. I board in a few days. So, nice to see your Solstice content just before I go. I've never cruised Celebrity so I'm really looking forward to it. 🙂 Cheers!
Awesome hotel- I. Believe that it is in the space where I used to to stay as a kid 40 years ago- I want to go back and experience that area and jump on a cruise too
Good morning, the Reflection is the only S-Class Celebrity ship I have not been on. I just came off the Beyond in October and I really missed the traditional balcony. I am not a friend of the Infinity veranda Otherwise the Beyond was beautiful. I am looking forward to your experience of the S-Class ships 🙂
I was on the Oasis of the Seas in early November and like you the 4 day cruise was just not long enough to explore everything that ship had to offer. The live shows were fabulous. Thanks for this great video.
Hey Mer! So excited to see your new video!! I have missed you! Looks like it was a short but very relaxing cruise, thats great!! I enjoyed the video! Excited for part 2! Short cruise have a fame of been “drinking cruises” was this one? Did you felt like that?
Thank you! I didn't really get the "booze cruise" feel on this cruise with Celebrity, fortunately. Although the drinks were definitely flowing, I never saw anyone get crazy or out of hand - just lots of fun and good vibes! Definitely different from what I've seen on other cruise lines!
@ thanks for the reply and feedback thats good to know, I’ve been wanting a quick getaway and to know that there’s a possibility for a quiet relax with celebrity is goooood.! Looking forward for the next video…
The security at that port is weird. I remember it being longer than it should’ve been back in January but not 30 minutes long. Sucks you had to deal with that stress right before a relaxing weekend… Though that railway in Fort Lauderdale is a favorite of mines. The houses you past are great and seeing the beach as you sail into the ocean is amazing
Depends on how you use the ship. For me, Edge class are a downgrade. For others, especially if you are into suite perks, they're an upgrade. Edge is 129,000 tons and Reflection is 126,000 tons so they're really almost the same size in terms of gross tonnage.
@@benjaminsmith2287 Celebrity Beyond is over 141,000 tons, so quite a bit bigger than Reflection if we’re just going by size alone. I have little use for suite perks as a solo traveler, but in comparing the onboard experience between Beyond and Reflection, I definitely preferred the Beyond for the entertainment, venues, lounge areas (especially Eden) and the MDRs. The only area Reflection has an advantage in my opinion is that it still has the traditional balconies instead of the infinite verandas. But still - any ship I’m on is a great ship!
@@MerCruisesSolo For me, that's not that much bigger. And it's more in suite space than actual passenger space. The Beyond is also 10,000 plus tons bigger than the Edge. I feel the opposite about lounge areas as I feel the Beyond doesn't have enough. However, as a solo traveler I might prefer the Beyond as it has more group activity/involvement. As a couple's traveler, by far I prefer the Reflection because it has something close to a piano bar in the Ensemble Lounge, a place I spend a lot of time in. I also spend a lot of time in the Sky Lounge and the Beyond has Eden which is quite different. The other advantage I like that the Reflection has is the Hideaway, Library, all small, spaces that are quiet to escape to. I also prefer the decor of the Reflection. It's darker, more romantic, more having a nostalgic tone to it that I associate with ships having been on ships from the 1960s onward and liking things about them. For me, the Martini Bar on the Reflection feels like a modern recreation of a 1930s/1940s space and has intimate alcoves where the version on the Beyond (and all Edge ships) feels like a lobby with overlooks (that encourages group involvement). Also, love the ice surface on the actual bar on the Solstice class ships. But that's me. Doesn't mean one is better than the other. It's just different. I don't use balconies at all. I've never booked one. Your escape was the balcony and that's great. Cruising is very personal and that's why I like when cruise reviewers give their personal reasons for why they cruise and how they spend time on the ship. Happy sailings! You're doing a wonderful job in your blogs.
Loving all your videos. I haven't been able to take a cruise in years, so I am vicariously through your videos. Keep up the good work.

Nice video. You're very likeable and relatable. We are big Celebrity fans...mainly the Edge class ships.
Wow the ship looks great. You can’t go wrong with solstice class.

A little too much chitchat.
Really? Because all the cruise videos you make are so much better? 😂😂😂
