ScatterVolt Made A PC Building Website…
I don't think it's a good idea to spend $350 on a PC with an 8 year old video card.
Then don't do it. Someone building a pc for this price doesn't have a lot of options. My channel is here to help EVERYONE build a pc, no matter their financial situation. Everyone's situation is different. Also, it's just fun to see what's possible at every price range. Just because I build a pc for $100 on this channel doesn't mean I think everyone should go out and build one. Some people maybe, if it's suits their needs.
Can I get a giveaway please 😢😢😢
Is it on the flip shop app too?
Is there a way to make the gpu output go back to the integrated diaplay on the laptop? Looking to maybe do something like this, but i dont want to carry an extra monitor around the whole time.
You can, but it will hurt your performance - if that is what you want, i recommend just buying a gaming laptop at that point.
"carry around an extra monitor?", you're already carrying around a power supply and graphics card haha, if you need the portability, youll have to buy a gaming laptop - this video is more of a compromise for gaming at home on old hardware, not convenience or practical.
Well, i mean if i were to do something lime this, i would probably buy a cage like in the video, to hold the power supply, gpu, cords, etc. It would also give less chords to deal with, as i can power the laptop screen from the battery, vs having another cord plugged into the wall for the external monitor. Either way, i just want to know if its possible. Im curious though, how it would hurt the performance?
Basically that data has to go both ways, from the laptop then back to the laptop, hurting the available bandwidth of the thunderbolt cable. If it was able to use it's full bandwidth to focus solely on performance, and then outputting to a monitor thru the gpu, you can get significantly better FPS. It depends on the card, but it can be staggering like 50% or more sometimes. I don't recommend it at all
@@JasonWitmerYT Oh, ok. Thanks man!
Me watching this with my stupid fans working hahaha
-that cant play.
The thumbnail 💀
If my usb c is not thunderbolt, will this not work? or will it lose too much performance?
it will not work - thunderbolt only
@@JasonWitmerYT thanks!
Im curious to see how you did the cable management for this build. Any chance you can showcase it?
It wasn't good lol I just shoved it all in the back. I'm terrible with cable management 😫
For $170 managed to assemble an i5 4460(10 dollars, i was really sceptical), h81 dg4(30 dollars, don't recommend, really small and only up to 16gb but it was the cheapest), RX 480(60 dollars, i am happy with it), 16 GB ram(25 dollars with a warranty), PSU 550W(makki, brand new $30), ssd 80gb, hdd 1tb, 200gb hdd(i got it as a combi for 15 dollars) and i just put all this in a case i had from the pc when i was 7😂.
how much would you sell it? for flipping purposes
Have you purchased every component used in this build or is it provided by manufacturer?
I literally show the receipts in the video lol you think asus is going to send me some used motherboard from Amazon resale?
@@JasonWitmerYT Sorry
Hey man, could you show like a video on how you setup the wires on the $500 pc budget video. Can you please 🙏 upload some sort of video that shows how you setup this pc
The wires are pretty standard on all PCs, there's nothing special about this one. Generally speaking, they only have a single port where they would fit. I recommend looking up videos on UA-cam about "how to build a pc" and that should get you started. For more specific help, try to post to r/buildapc on reddit with any specific questions/photos and they can help you out. Good luck!
Hey man, could you show like a video on how you setup the wires on the $500 pc budget video. Can you please 🙏 upload some sort of video that shows how you setup the other pc
I would buy a pre built pc and upgrade it overtime. Making a custom built pc can cost more at times. If you want to go for new parts and prebuilt pcs can sometimes have very good deals. But it depends
I cant thank you enough for the portable charger recommendation! Im an EMT and our ambulances don't have a specific charging port or cigarette charger port so i've been looking for one and all of the ones i've seen are just cheap knockoffs
That's awesome! Good to know 😌
Imo when you're building ultra low end PCs you should just do it all on the mobo box. Dont waste money on a case that you could always get later
Hi could i buy this form u?
I cant get my pc to run and i dont know where to put most of my cables would you be able to help me in some way
Which tier list should i pick for the gpu if i want a RX 6600? B Tier?
Do you mean power supply? C or D tier would be just fine for a 6600 - its more about overall budget.
@@JasonWitmerYT yes I meant power supply, thanks for responding! I ended up getting the Deepcool DA700 from my brother's PC lol, is that good or not?
Good to go 👍 thanks for watching!
Is a deepcool da700 good?
I also smile at then want to slap tech reviewers that ever take an issue with games running near 30fps. Such a stupid 1st world problem.
If you're paying a ton of money for your equipment, games shouldn't run at 30 fps. If you're using old hardware, it's fine.
In croatia, i got a i3 10100f for 30euros, gtx 1060 6gb 35euros, and a motherboard for 40euros, and single ddr4 2666mhz 8gb stick for 10euros and a nvme ssd for 25euros...

Great video! This work for oled too?
I'd much rather have a shell that stays cool. To keep my hands cool while I game.
Jason thanks for keeping it 100 am watching from the uk and money is too tight to mention. All pc content creators get all their parts for free so they can afford to build theses thousand plus pc.
No worries man - thanks for watching! Tbh I wish I got stuff for free too 🤣 but there will always be a need for saving money on computers no matter what
Thanks for the live man
Ngl that mother board looks like it got STDs
Same
I built this as my first PC build except I used a Radeon 6600. Thanks for the video!
That's awesome! Hope you love it!
Whats the best gpu for i3 12100f
Depends on your budget, but I wouldn't go further than like a 6700XT, RTX 4060. You could go further for sure, but you'd be better off with a better cpu
don t buy coolers, but i have some u want? :))
Question guys, I wouldn’t be able to use Ethernet so does this come with a wifi card and if it doesn’t how do I make it wifi compatible?
They generally don't. You can go on ama,on and search "wifi usb" they are very cheap. Just plug it in and you've got wifi :)
@@JasonWitmerYTI subbed after seeing a couple of your budget videos but to see you comment this quick shows me that you’ll grow very soon, will be there when you hit each milestone
Thanks man 🙏 appreciate you!
can you build a pc that can get 120+ fps on warzone 3 please? no more than 500$
My most recent $500 pc on the channel can do that :) it's the Amazon one. Check it out!
@@JasonWitmerYT i will thanks
looks slick!
20 series cards: Am I a joke to you? (to pretty much any pc building youtuber)
(first vid of this guy I watched)
Lol I was thinking about this the other day actually. The 20 series cards only just recently came down in price enough to be considered for budget builds personally. Maybe I'll use one soon!
has the pcie slot cover gotten lost in the ether?
Was it just me me or did the games look grainy? I played the video on 2 different fairly high end devices and and wasn't impressed. Cheers and thanks for the video
I WANT TO BUILD a pc to play games on!!!! ( No such thing as a gaming pc) Just like theres no dentical!!!
I'm seriously considering buying a LCD 64GB Steam Deck real soon (if I can get some hardware that I don't use anymore a buyer for haha). Was wondering how to go about installing Windows on a Steam Deck and this guide really nailed. Straightforward and to the point. Easy peasy. If I do end up buying one, this guide will definitely be used. Excellent video, you got yourself a like and a new sub :)
Will my pc survive a 15 ft fall 🗣️🗣️
Would be interested in trying something like this with one of the new dual screen laptops (that are internal graphics only). Could use the dual screen at work, keep your egpu setup with dock at home and rock n roll with best of both worlds.
Is the bundle still available or not?
This PC runs better then my alienware laptop With geforce 1060 and 16 gig raMB MY pc is DYING send help pls ppl LMAO
The main thing that throws me off in a build is there power consumption of GPUs out there.. Especially the last 2 generations
GeForce now is what made me sell my Steam Deck and get an ASUS ROG Ally. The ease of use with Windows with GeForce now, and the 120hz with higher resolution capabilities are unmatched
The real struggle to get a cheap gaming pc is to have the patience to look and wait for good used offers on gpus. As even the entry level "new" gpus would wreck your budget.
how dare you
built a pc by myself for 225$ for better specs
my specs are : Ryzen 5 3600, GTX 1660 Super, 16GB DDR4 3200Mhz ram, 512gig m.2 gen 3 ssd, a B450-M, and a 550W power supply
the magic happens in the used market, it performs A LOT better than his build and even costs less
and to get this type of build that i have all you have to do is some deal hunting in facebook marketplace
That's cool! I always recommend people utilize used deals in their local markets (I even mentioned it in the video). Unfortunately local deals are so random and sporadic they aren't great to make videos on. I prefer to make videos on deals that are attainable by most people online so they can stand a chance to replicate the build. Congrats on the pc and Thanks for watching!
