Screen Protector, hall sensor sticks, an external cooling system (The one you showed does literally nothing lol. That one is hilariously bad. It makes NO sense), and maybe a battery pack I ordered my Steam Deck OLED yesterday and now I can't focus on anything. I'm staring at my screen all day yesterday and today refreshing the shipping progress screen I also used the "Klim Cool +" on my Laptop which rly did help. I eventually upgraded to an IETS GT500 which is infinitely better. But now I use my Klim Cool + on my Switch while it's docked, since it gets rly hot on the dock these days. It still works. I've seen a vacuum cooling system like the Klim Cool + by JSAUX and it works. I'll get that before I get a dock. I don't like my stuff being in the 70s or higher, tbh. 69C is the highest I'll go with any of my stuff
From what I've heard about the TSA they don't need a reason to stop you, and just generally like being a pain. Well there goes any holiday opportunities I have to visit the USA 😮
okay as someone who owns a xreal sunglasses they are nice for a bit but the pins that are needed to stay on your nose will pinch you after regular use they also drain your steam decks battery for sure i also ran into heat problems with the glasses after about a hour of use.
if you can find it at the right price the Valve Steam Controller works super well in 2024 thanks to the improvements to steam input, I still use one to this day.
On controllers, I do recommend getting the Vader 3 Pro or one of the GuliKit KK controller, they're all amazingly good with hall effect drift proof joysticks. And actually, don't know if you've tried that but the Jsaux fan works really well with the Steam Deck and I highly recommend it!
is it safe to use in the long run? I've been thinking to get one not because I always intensive games but rather for longetivity of internal fans and steam deck itself

I got a dock with cooling fans and it helps with my heavy games but it also blows into the intake fan so it works well. If i got one without the fans, im sure it would still be fine lol
I use my Steam Deck plugged into my Baseus 65watt PD power bank sometimes. If I'm on the go and need more juice (highly recommend taking a hammock to the park and gaming for awhile on a nice day.) Anyways, you can just use any old USB C cable for this. But it's slightly annoying to play plugged in. So I wanted a way for the cable to be as out of the way as possible. Where you could almost forget it's plugged in. After some trial and error I have it setup really nicely. Instead of a 90 degree USB C adapter. They sell 180 degree adapters where the cable runs along the back of the Deck. I have the 90 degree ones but the 180 is much better. The other part is to find a very flexible USB C cable. If you're a PC gamer you might know that before wireless mice were the standard. High end gaming nice had cables that were incredibly lightweight and flexible. The Anker Powerline III Flow does this really well. Compared to say, my stock MacBook charger. The cable is thinner and so much more flexible. This really helps because the cable never has any tension to it, no matter how you move it. You can get both of these things for like $20 - $25 and it makes playing while plugged in infinitely more comfortable. Something people don't think about but it's one of my favorite additions to my OLED.
Time for a new Steam Deck Video! I vote trying controllers! I love my Stadia controllers but would love seeing other options. Kinda curious to see which old controllers I could get to work. Wavebirds? Xbox 360 controllers? Wiimotes?
the only cooler i know that actually works with the steam deck is the one from jsaux and you either need to use the case that it was designed for or you have to stick the mounting plate if you didn't use the case....
These videos are so funny. Imagine anyone walking around with all this stuff 😂 this is so over the top. They always say stuff like: "the steam decks X is not perfect so just buy a second, better one and carry both of them with you" as if the normal steam deck wasn't heavy and bulky enough.

Even when emulating switch games it doesn't take up *that* much space.
