Hey y'all!
I was lucky enough to grow up in a very rural part of South Louisiana, the heart of Cajun Country where food is truly from the soul. My Mom, Grandma, and a bunch of amazing cooks around us always had something coming out of the oven from pies, cakes, bread, and other desserts.
With this channel, I’ll try to elevate some of the more simple, humble recipes while still trying to keep the spirit of the original version. I believe in that saying, ‘if it’s not broken, it doesn’t need fixing’. I’ll just look at how to add my take on these recipes.
I’ll also include some of the more cosmopolitan type baked items I’ve been enjoying and sharing with my friends.
I hope you enjoy this, too.

Peach Crumble Pie | Awesome Flavors | So Good!
If you love peaches, like I do, then you HAVE to make this pie! There's a flavor twist in the recipe - GINGER! It's tangly flavor works so great with Peaches and the Crumble will have you wanting to use it on other desserts.

Pie Dough Double Crust
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour (375g)
1 tbsp sugar (12g)
1 tsp salt (5g)
3 tbsp vegetable oil (45ml)
1 cup cool unsalted butter, cut into pieces (does not have to be ice cold) (225g)
¼ cup cool water
2 tsp white vinegar or lemon juice (10ml)
Crumble topping
1 cup All-Purpose Flour (120g)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (100g)
1/4 tsp table salt
5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (71g)
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp almond extract, optional
1/4 cup finely mini diced ginger (46g)
1/4 cup walnuts, pecans, or almonds, chopped; optional (28g)
Peach filling
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
1 tbsp lemon juice
¼ cup cornstarch
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
¼ tsp cinnamon
⅛ tsp nutmeg
4 ½ cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced (788g)
½ cup rolled oats, optional
Egg Wash
1 egg
1 tbsp water
Follow along and whip up a delicious pie you'll want to make over and over!

Canola Oil? OMG, with so many healthy options, canola oil is the worse to use on anything. This cake looks delicious, but I'll substitute the oil 😊

Years ago, schools were safe and comforting places - not filled with violent adult students who were kept back year after year, SJWs and prison food. We had teachers who actually taught us to read, multiplication tables and the history of the world, not the behavior issues that confuse and destroy young, malleable minds that mentally ill people go into the teaching field so they can push these confusing ideas onto vulnerable children. When we walked into school, around 7:45 am, we were greeted with the smell of these lunchroom rolls that wafted through every single room in the school, handmade every single morning by loving women who made sure all children had good, healthy meals and we had a security that we were loved and protected by these women who got up every single day so they could nourish us. We were fed homemade pizza, burgers and fries, spaghetti, baked chicken casseroles, we had a salad bar and all kinds of cafeteria meals that tasted like a dinner your grandma made for at a Sunday dinner. Our lives were filled with safety and comfort, not angst , uncertainty and pain and I am sorrowful children of today won't have that experience.

Absolutely loved these!! After a few days in the fridge, however, they became mushy and messy (but still delicious!) What is the best way to store the bars so that they remain perfect?
I keep them in an air-tight container in the fridge

Sir, how do you measure the flour, spooned into cup or cup dipped into flour? Thank you.
For me, I like to use a whisk or fork to aerate the flour a bit then dip the cup into it if I'm not weighing out the flour on a scale.

Milk or almond, etc. I use (50 calorie 🥥 , Kirkland milk/ no sugar ) 2 egg 1/2 tbsp 🥑 oil 3 oz applesauce 2 capfuls vanilla Mix above Spray 2x donut pans 425, 15 minutes

Me either... I wish! I grew up in Buffalo, went to Catholic school, no cafeteria, no lunch room, no play ground. Lunch was a brown paper bag and we ate at our desks. I moved to Phoenix, AZ in the 6th grade. They at least had a cafeteria and hot lunches, but I don't remember any rolls THIS AWESOME! 💞

Yes, on low with the dough hook, when the dough is smooth and elastic, stop, shape the dough into a ball and place the dough in a greased bowl for proofing.
