I tilted too because last duelist cup I was top 9k and got maxx cd 6 straight duels and dropped to like 12k. Haven't grinded a season passionately since. I'm not actively grinding until they ban Maxx C it turns ygo into a casino game.

Do you not remember the great banning of like 2008 or 2009 or whenever it was, when they banned every card with 1 line of text so they could make worse cards to replace them (like when monster reincarnation replaced monster reborn when it was banned)? It could always happen, they just need to have the reason to ban all these 1 card combos. Even if you want to be cynical about it and say "Well ya, they banned them because they were impossible to power creep such a simple card, so they wouldn't be able to sell any new ones.".. I think at some point, snake eye ash will also be impossible to power creep what it does lol.

You need to save as many as you can for secret packs once you figure out what you want to play, otherwise you will not have a playable deck.".. then days later he said he spent every single gem on master packs and never played again lol.

I think its very obvious why they didnt hit max c again in ocg. There is an active product on shelves that are selling well and still being supported aka tactical tryout decks who as we know even into ALIN are still getting cards to support those decks. Those decks contain copies of max c so they wont ban something that is in a new player and old player friendly product that is doing well with lots of advertising for the product (the animations they received, the MD try out event, the solomode for them specifically as well as any normal types of advertising happening in japan for them) Im the best time to expect a max c hit would be during the announcements of DUAD cards or the annoucement of whatever is releasint after DUAD Oh nvm they covered it lmao

Tenpai sucks because it's not fun to play against (this is like every yugioh deck so whatever) OR WITH. I've said it a couple of times, Tenpai is a perversion of the Blind Second deck archetype, because it removes skill, versatility and deckbuilding considerations. I love blind second because i hate handtrap minigames. I crafted tenpai day 1. I stopped playing it day 2. It's soulless.

Actually TRYING to win a Duelist Cup sounds like literally the worst experience you could theoretically have as a Yu-Gi-Oh player. Usually by the time I get all of the free gems (which is only half of the total rewards), I am already tired of Yu-Gi-Oh and thinking about how lame it is that we didn't have a fun event instead.

At this point I'm worried we'll get Azamina in a state where the deck is like Kashtira was. Give it it's time in the spotlight. Nowbody can tell me we get Drytron/VFD turbo meta, Runick meta, Yubel meta, & Tenpai meta, etc but can't let Snake-Eyes Azamina exist? FOH with that nonsense. Josh kept telling everybody Tenpai was fine, & then was proven wrong. Farfa complains about Unicorn/Fenrir constantly & they simply are fine & not even remotely a problem. Let deck diversity happen. Wanting to ban everything decent just so you can have an easier time preparing for competitive play & then not wanting something as format warping as Tenpai pre-hit is insane. Honestly, the Duelist Cup was a sad case of karma for Josh. Hopefully, he'll bounce back hard with the next one. I actually wanted to see them repeat at Worlds. I can guarantee, new players are never looking at information at getting specific cards when they start up. They just wanna get to the feel good feeling of old YGO Unfortunately, there's no way to get a proper introduction to YGO unless you have a friend or are actively looking up everything you need to know as a beginner.
