Like honestly I am at two minds about the whole posting the decklists. Sure, it fucked up with Joshs and other duelists deckbuilding strategies, but at the same time untapped was giving the info for everyone so all the players would have gotten the decklists info regardless? Like obviously we can all agree that the fault is of Konami/MasterDuel developer for granting certain api access to Untapped no?
The simple matter that Untapped isn't nearly as publickly known or easy to access as the literal front page of the most popular Master Duel related site that was actively advertising said info wheras Untapped you actually had to do some digging to get to it.
Wait, the decks got leaked mid tourney? What tf? That sounds SICKENINGLY bad. Like legit that's something that I feel like partially invalidates the tourney, because can't getting outside info about the game result in a game loss anyways? I understand this was a really unique circumstance but it definitely feels like Master Duel Meta should be held accountable, twisting what is effectively whispering into every players ears exactly what to expect from their opponent as a service to the community is REALLY sick.
It seems the source of the info was one of those companion thingies that could get the exact deck out of the replay. I'm not excluding mdm of the blame, of course. But as a developer, I'm inclined to blame master duel developers for this. The decklist was not being shown in the frontend but the server sent the information to the backend, otherwise the companion wouldn't be able to access that. Honestly, it feels like Konami can't do a damn thing right.
@@kuma9239 I'm kind of shocked Konami also didn't restrict access to phones or anything like that during round 1 if they intended on not doing open decklists, but also making the replays instantly public. Feel like they could have done more all around in regards to preventing cheating and stuff.
Its a podcast and he just won the world championship wtf is he supposed to do? Close your lil 🐱 mouth. You can speak when you accomplish something in life.
What he describes about some opponents making the mistake of letting him play too long and using handtraps too late is something fundamentally very unappealing about the game itself: There's next to no skill involved in handtrap use; it's almost always correct to use them as soon as possible, lest your opponent starts gaining too much momentum to be significantly inhibited by them. -Handtrap wars- _Handtrap-heavy formats_ would be more fun, if there was more meaning to the different times during a turn when a given handtrap could be used; if it wasn't just „throw at your opponent what you have and then see how far they can go afterwards“. Addendum: to be clear, I'm talking about the current state of the game; what I describe doesn't apply to handtrap-heavy formats in general (aside from different dynamics what with games taking more turns) but to the one we have right now.
Its worse when you think about that handtraps only exist because Konami cant get their own game and the powrcrep under control and only printed thos eas a band-aid, not because theyre such a cool and fun game design choice. Yugioh in its core is a bad game and this is one prove for it
@@Alex-Omegano yugioh at its core is not bad game, you want proof of that?
