Thank you, Jon. I'm really looking forward to hear what Kirkwood has to say. This sounds very interesting.

Townsends, I'm not wanting to be negative but you need to know as honest feedback. Not impressed with the whole "Live" changes on the channels. The content no longer matches the channels and now I'm getting notifications on "new" released videos I just watched as a live stream as if it is new content. It is not, I just watched this live the other day... who ever is recommending these changes is way off base.. this is going to hurt your channel. Not help it.

Thank you for this! The four intercolonial wars are so interesting (probably my favorite topic within the subject). They don't get enough attention, especially given how consequential they were.

Makes sense to me for a diary to have sporadic thoughts that don't make a complete narrative, and skips weeks at a time. I never had a thought to write in a diary. My mind rather wishes to daydream of other worlds than living in this one.

Think of how we value an everyman's diary from the 18th century in the year 2025, and consider how people in the future would love for your journal to be preserved, so they can read it, and learn of our time.

It's nice hearing about the common man's perspective. Most we hear are from wealthy people or adventurers, which is great reading, but doesn't give a real aspect of what people like us go through on an every day basis of just trying to live their lives. Thank you, Jon. This is a refreshing insight to the 18th century.

What an interesting read! I was left with the amusing thought that, even then, Jerry Springer would have had no shortage of dramatics for his show.

Thank you for reading the difficult bits. There was a lot of highly emotional journalism (as in news) and literature that came into play during the time. It's part of history that needs to be acknowledged and explained, and you followed thru with an honest discourse. Kudos to you. Love your videos. Thank you also for speaking under chilly conditions to tell us the next chapter. Saw your breath...

Does anybody know why the second plot of land was purchased in the mothers name? Was this common? I thought women had trouble owning things themselves until into the mid 1900s

My 4 year old asks me for a "John Townsend hat." The kind you have on here. I'm going to have to hunt for a similar one. He had his skull reconstructed by some talented surgeons due to craniosynostosis. Luckily for me a small adult hat will fit his large head, so maybe I'll have some luck finding one so he can match you. He loves your videos.

How I understood your readings. The Game warden of the tribe says you must dress like a hunter and not military so the tribe people know not to kill you. They need to see you're just hunting. Also, you must wear the brochess or money on you for trade so if you require our health care services because you have no idea what you are doing, you can pay the medicine wo/man for their services.

Hey, guys! I have a UA-cam cooking channel that I film from my home. I have done all of my videos from my Note 20 phone. I really don't like the video quality or the sound. It works, but I'd like it to be better. What would you suggest that I use? I do these alone mostly, so it would need to be a camera that I can stick on a tripod and just hit record. I'm totally 100% new at all of this, so I know diddly about it, lol! Thanks for any suggestions! You guys are awesome, by the way! I love your videos!
